• W (8/5): - Small, cosy, clean, comfortable bed. Very close to St Kilda beach. Good value for money. Great place to crash after a night out in the city. Easy contactless check in with code. Will definitely use again. They had some coffee and tea but no milk. Little long life milk pods would have been great.

• Diana (4/5): Great value and location – big downsides - Excellent location. Beach and tram around the corner, and Acland St restaurants a short walk away. Room was generally clean and bed was very comfortable. Room was simple but spacious enough and well-presented. Shower ran constantly to the point of disrupting sleep. Matted hair from previous guests in shower drain. Cheap cupboards not properly held together. Flimsy walls so could hear someone's noisy lovemaking from several doors down. Most concerning was the lack of ability to contact the property after hours or on weekends. For significant issues that arise outside business hours, you're on your own. A pain when it comes to noisy dripping showers and cupboards that come off hinges, but a security risk in a worst case scenario.

• Karen (10/5): Great place to stay in St Kilda. - Location was great, it so easy to attend a concert at the Palais and explore Acland Street St Kilda. Parking at the Prince was so easy.

Really bad wi-fi, I asked to restart the router but they couldn’t - no staff at the accommodation. And I think it’s normal. If you want to work or stream Netflix, not the best choice. Flexibility with check-in and check-out, while 2pm is quite late check-in and 10am is very early check-out. I had a lot of ants in the kitchen. Terrace not really inviting (no cushions to sit).

• Alessandro (7/5): Superb location but overpriced for what it offers - The location is superb. Walking distance to multiple cafes, shops, grocery store, the shore and the Albert Park. Perfect for those going to Australian Formula One Gran Prix. The aircon was very old and really noisy, couldn't use it. Due to the price I was expecting the place to be a bit more sophisticated, but it was pretty basic, I did not even have a pod coffee machine (despite having coffee pods there?).

Bagno molto luminoso e doccia super comoda. Le piastre della cucina erano scollegate e non è stato facile capire come attivarle fino a scoprire che erano spente. A parte questo tutto perfetto. Il lavandino del bagno è piccolo e non c’è spazio per nulla. Sarebbe ideale se aggiungessero delle mensole.

• Carlijne (7/5): Goed locatie, schoonmaak kan beter - De ligging was prima. Op loopafstand van restaurants en strand. We kregen een upgrade wat natuurlijk heel attent was. Maar de kamer was bedompt en er hing nog een overhemd in de kast van de vorige gast. In de asbak buiten lag nog een sigarettenpeuk en het tuintje lag aan de weg, waarvan ik in de recensies al had gelezen dat het vooral in het weekend heel rumoerig was s nachts op straat. De afstandsbediening van de airco was niet aanwezig. Op verzoek hebben wij onze geboekte kamer nog kunnen krijgen. Deze was een stuk kleiner maar rook schoner en had niet zo veel last van het lawaai. Alleen hier moesten we doen met zakjes oploskoffie terwijl er in de andere kamer een nespresso apparaat stond. Maar genoeg koffietenten in de buurt. Verder zou de badkamer wat beter onderhouden moeten worden. De voegen verkleuren al wat zwart. Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, de prijs was niet belachelijk hoog voor deze accommodatie.

It was a Saturday night, so lots of revellers shouting and laughing well into the early hours, then the refuse trucks and deliveries to the nearby businesses took over. Got no sleep. 😑

Car was broken into in the park facility recommended by owners . Street noise was excessive (we were in the front apartment) . Bathroom floor is slippery when wet so care needed. Some roughness in the street.

• Louise (5/5): - The location was good with a cafe across the street. We rented two separate rooms. My husband and I had one room and our single woman friend had the other. In the early evening just prior to all of us getting ready to go out, two men, unknown to us, accessed our friend's room with the door keypad code while she was sitting on the bed and asked her if she had been waiting for them. I rang the number provided by the Booking.com the next morning (as reception was listed as just during business hours) with my concerns about the door keypad code being shared and enquiring about who the men were! I was given an apology with no explanation other than it would be looked into. I requested I be contacted following their investigation. That didn't happen, so I rang back a few days later and spoke with the same woman. She apologised again and said they didn't know why it happened and 'technology isn't 100%.' I asked if the entrance or hallway cameras had been checked and she said she hadn't even thought of that. She then said they wouldn't know who they were anyway but hadn't checked to see what other rooms they had accessed. I find this totally unacceptable! Although the location was just what we wanted, the price was fine and the accommodation was comfortable, due to the lack of security, I won't be able to recommend this accommodation to anyone. When I mentioned what had happened to a few friends, they were appalled.

The only thing we didn’t like was the difficulty getting in to the property and the fact that we could not collect the keys to our unit after 17:00. This meant we had to find alternative accommodation our first night in Melbourne.
