- Maame Amoah (4/5): I will not choose the place again. - The room was ok spacious. The bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was so thin I could feel the wood beneath.
The room was dusty, and I found many hairs that were not mine on the bed and on the floor.
I could not eat in that kitchen because the dishes had not been washed in the sink for the 3 days I spent there, and there was an opened leftover on the stove. For breakfast, it was an already-opened biscuit.
- Gracie (4/5): Feel good except deal with the landlord - Quiet & clean On the last night, the landlord slammed the door at 11 o‘clock in the middle of the night to wake me up, saying goodbye to me, asking me if I had taken her scissor and if I had cooked food. I said no, and then complained that I had dinner at home, which made the room smell! Make me stay up all night.!
When you go out, the room is unlocked!
The owner of the house asked me again and again if I had his scissor! In fact, I had never seen it!
- Suleyman (10/5): Overall my experience was very good. If you want to stay in a quiet, decent neighbourhood and a clean, tidy house that w - You can feel like your home there You should take a 2 bus to get city center sometimes but its fair
- Tarek (9/5): Perfect ! - It is a room in a very cute apartment, in a housing area. the room is quite confortable, with a large bed, a desk and some storage for clothes. Towels are provided.
There is a kitchen and a bathroom, that are shared with the owner that lives there.
All the instructions were clear, and the key was handed out easily.
Throughout the stay, the owner answered all the questions and requests I had ver quickly and kindly.
The flat was 20 minutes away from Trastevere on foot. Nothing really ! but a few comments for visitors
It is perfect if you re travelling alone or with a partner and will spend most of the day exploring (Rome is perfect for that).
If you want to telework, you should know there is no wifi (it is written ! at least up to my visit), but the street is full of cafes that provide a cool working atmosphere, free wifi along with good coffee !
- Eka (6/5): Nice place, not such a nice host. - The room was great. Super comfortable bed, hard mattress which was good for my back. A table and a chair, a locker for valuables and a clothing rack. Even though not that close to the city (40 minutes or so by bus), it wasn't an issue for me - very easy to catch the bus which is only around the corner. The area has few nice osterias. It's also only a short 5 minute walk to Villa Doria Pamphili which is a large, beautiful, relaxing park with a fountain and a Villa and I highly recommend visiting it. The listing for the place says you can "make meals", but when I got there Lucia told me I'm not allowed to cook and became argumentative. Her attitude was quite unpleasant. After discussing, we agreed that she needs to change the text in the listing to clarify what "make meals" means (which I can see she still hasn't done). My intention was not to cook every day, but to cook only once so that I could have snacks for few days (eggplant and mayo sandwiches), or to boil eggs for breakfast. Italians are big meat eaters and I had problems finding vegetarian dishes in osterias and tratorias. As much as I love cornettos, I'm not a big fan of having a cornetto for breakfast. So the best option for me would've been to make a more substantial, vegetarian meal at the accommodation.
- Karyna (8/5): Very good -
- Apoorva (10/5): Lucia is an amazing host. The house was warm, welcoming and super cosy. It felt like home away home. - Cleanliness, Location is easy to find.
- Anton (9/5): Great apartement in local area - Big apartment with washing machine/kitchen etc. almost yours. Great location. Lucia is very sweet (but she came only at late evening, so I rarely saw her - good for introverts)!
Interesting historical building. A lot of supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
I could use an umbrella from apartement and left my luggage after check-out. Bed and pillows weren't really comfortable, probably it had been a sofa once.
I didn't get the idea of breakfast - it is included (this has told me Lucia, it hasn't been stayed in booking) but only yoghurts or a special price in a local bar? But there weren't yoghurts first 2 days.
It didn't affect the score but you need to know that this place isn't really close to the center via public transport - 30-45 mins (and there is no wifi).
- Maksymilian (9/5): Superb - Flat is located in a great area. Monteverde is a beautiful district of Rome. Lucia is really helpful, super smart and nice person. It was great to stay in her place. Thank you!
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional - - Friendly and helpful owner, she's almost never at home so you have the flat for yourself
- I liked the location, it's purely Italian, lots of local shops with food, etc. The building is also very special. I felt safe.
- Very quiet, I slept well
- I think the flat is nicely cool during the hot days in the summer but in the winter can get cold. You have your heater in the bedroom so no problem.
- Carolina (9/5): Kindness, comfort and tradition - I didn’t get to meet the host Lucia in person during my stay, but she was highly available on the Booking chat, and is a very kind and discreet person. Even if the apartment is mainly reachable by bus, and that this kind of transport in Rome is not the best (there was around 30min between the passage of each bus), it is a nice opportunity to get to know a more local lifestyle and routine, since waking up in a homely room and having a coffee at the “bar” in front of the building. The area where it is situated is calm, which is amazing for the kind of travel that I appreciate the most, and is at a 5-7min walking distance from the super nice and familial park Villa Doria Pamphilj. The room is cozy and functional and the apartment is very clean. It is also near the neighbourhood of Trastevere, which has become my favorite one in Rome. I enjoy going for long walks, so I usually walked around the neighbourhood until the old Trastevere, and then until the city center, and returned home by bus by the end of the day after some visits. To sum it all up, I felt comfortable and welcomed, while experiencing the Italian warmth to the fullest during my stay.
- Adrienn (9/5): Superb - Bus station near, so I was in city center and Trastevere really wuickly. I felt, that whole accomodation is mine, when I was there. Room is totally equipped, Lucia is really kind person. Good location for solo traveller for some days. No wifi, maybe cleaner bathroom would have been better.
- Steve (10/5): Terrific place - close to city, cafes, restaurants and public transport - Lucia is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much trouble! The room provides plenty of privacy and easy access to the kitchen and bathroom.
Lucia very willing to help if any little travel problem arises (like losing the door key 🙄). Awesome A little tricky to find No 11 for English only speakers - but that’s Rome and travelling
- Wojciech (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiffany (10/5): Comfortable safe place to sleep while touring the area - Nice apartment Not close to the things I wanted to see
- Esteban (10/5): Beautiful apartment very comfortable and calm -
- Memduh (8/5): Very good - late check in penalty didnt indicated in booking.
- İlknur (5/5): Passable - hot water was limited and the heating system was not working, you have to travel 40 minutes to get to the center
- Ahmed (8/5): Very good - Nice, helpful and responsive host No WiFi 😏
- Mohamed (8/5): Very good -
- Мадина (10/5): Exceptional - Everything:) —
- Işık (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect, and lucia is very nice person, she was so helpfull about everything💝
- Kevin (8/5): Really enjoyed it, Lucia is nice and you don't get in each others way. - Good experience of living in a proper Italian apartment, which was well set out, with nice colourful touches in kitchen and bathroom. Bedroom basic but fine for me. Owner resides there and has her own living space. Bathroom and kitchen are shared. Be nice if bedroom had a comfortable small sofa or soft chair to relax in.
It is not clear which is the apartment (no. 11), it is in a block of 30/40 and website needs to be clear which it is, and how to contact Lucia the owner by phone if you're having trouble finding it.
There is a local room tax of 3eu per day to pay whilst there, which is no big deal but nice to know.
- Beatriz (10/5): it was amazing - it is perfect and have all the facilities everything was ok for me
- Elias (9/5): Fine Stay (-: - Fine Stay (-:
- Joel (8/5): Stay in an Italian home - Great host. Quiet, basic room. No wifi
- Haq (5/5): Passable -
