Great location with only 1 tram stop to the bustling G - It was comfortable with it being situated right next to conference. Bin in room was way too small. Would have been better to have a bigger one. Also confusing where the bins in basement were. I put in skip but they aren’t labeled as to what goes where.

The view is amazing & the location being outside of the light rail is a plus! I honestly could go on forever about how great this room was to stay in! Thank you hosts for your great communication! Absolutely nothing!

• Jon (7/5): Only for a night or two. - Great location, close to the beach and tram station outside. The room was large and comfortable, with a great view from the balcony. This room was advertised as an apartment, but it is a private room inside the Oaks hotel. There is no access to washing machines, etc. There is a microwave and dishes, but no way to wash them. You'll need to go to Surfers first to pick up your key.

• Sarah (4/5): Nice hotel disappointing stay - The Oaks is a nice hotel right on the tram line so very convenient, great view and room was nice with corner spa. The key collection was burdensome, and there were night rd works all night incredibly loud as the room is not double glazed, we literally had no sleep!

Parked in the street behind the hotel for free and walked through the back gate to the lobby. No kitchenette was a very minor inconvenience. Had to relocate the toaster to a better spot as the power point was too low - but again very minor inconvenience and would still pick this place over the other places I have stayed in the last few visits to the coast.

• Ged05 (10/5): Broadbeach Gem - Hidden gem this property on the Gold Coast! Excellent value, the room, bed and pillows were comfy, nice balcony with view of the ocean. Large bathroom with a spa as an added bonus. Excellent location with a tram stop right outside the hotel providing easy access to Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. Definitely look forward to staying here again in the near future. Slight inconvenience having to pick the key up from a separate location and no parking. However, that was clearly explained in the listing. We managed to secure parking on the street behind the location, which was explained by the hosts. There is, however, a back gate entrance, which was easy to gain access to the accommodation. The positives far outway any negatives, though!

It took me multiple trips to carry all my luggage through from a rear darkened street, which was hard to find access in the dark once I managed to find an actual park. Coming from the Exhibition centre, I had to drive several minutes beyond the actual Oaks accommodation to the given address to get to the dodgy Woolworths location, which was so badly signed somewhat down the road, just to get the keys to then turnaround and head back to a location I'd already driven passed. However, the room itself made the effort all worth it.

• Anne (9/5): Spectacular view and comfort for a couples night out - A wonderful accommodation and everything we needed for a bit of a special night out. The room is very big and comfortable and the view is just spectacular. Very close to main spots, public transport and the beach. It was clean, quiet and had even a fridge, microwave and kettle available. Definitely recommended for a great couple trip to the Gold Coast (and if you are not afraid of hights). The key pickup is not at the hotel but a short way away from the location, but still easy to find. Personally the matress was too soft for me, which wasn't an issue for one night but might be, if you stay longer and suffer from backpain. But otherwise it was just great!

I was traveling alone in a car and although the directions to the key pickup point were ok, it wasn’t easy to find as the signage wasn’t great. There is a maned reception, if I could have picked up the key there it would have been so much easier. I booked it without realizing that there was no secured parking so I had to leave my can on the street.

• Jenny (7/5): Key pick up a nightmare nut not the hotels fault - The hotel itself was absolutely fine but unfortunately I didn’t read down far enough on reviews to realise that the room was independently owned and managed and the key could not be picked up from reception. As mentioned the key was not available from reception at the hotel but was located in the car park next to woollies of a very busy and hard to find shopping centre in the thick of surfers Paradise. It was a nightmare to find with busy crowds and added a lot of time to our trip.

• Cassie (10/5): Affordable accommodation in the heart of surfers Paradise with an amazing view - What a fantastic price for what we got. We were so pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The room is very spacious completely separate bathroom and toilet not to mention the amazing view from the balcony. We were also pleasantly surprised by how clean the accommodation was accommodations can be quite clean but then you find something like dust but this accommodation was absolutely spotless cannot fault our experience. Communication from the owners was clear and welcoming. We visit the area from Victoria quite frequently and we will never bother looking to stay elsewhere again. We can’t wait to start again! Really struggling to find anything that we didn’t like about the accommodation. I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like. This is of no fault of the owners but I did go to collect the keys from the wrong Woolworths. Just make sure you really check the address.

The room we stayed in was a private hire/not owned by hotel complex. For some reason I couldn’t collect key from hotel reception. I had to collect from a lock box outside a supermarket down the road. This was really not convenient, busy mall, difficult to park, multiple entrances. We enjoyed the hotel room but would not book again if key was not available from reception. On departure we were told to leave the key in the room which ment we couldn’t get to the basement to the car. At 5am we had to call out hotel staff to allow access. Slightly stressful when you have a flight to catch.

Had to drive in with my toddler and infant, it was already chaos but finding the key collection made the trip frustrating and exhausting. But staff members were nice, polite, communicate well.
