Guest Reviews
- Eliot (10/5): Lovely quiet and calm stay - The owners were very welcoming, gave us as much information as they could, and were patient and attentive. The location is amazing, in the midst of farmlands at the end of a gravel road. There is nothing I could fault this place on, everything was exactly as expected.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Connor (8/5): Very good -
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): Lovely would stay again - Being out of the town felt like we were staying with friends rather than in an air BNB. The place was immaculately clean! I liked that each room had their own fridge and could share the kitchen space without being in the way of others. And the owners and their dog were so lovely and kind their hospitality was really welcoming and friendly!! Only thing no where so cook inside the shared space, but was good meant we got to find a public BBQ and have a nice evening!
- Ross (10/5): A chill location with friendly hosts - Quiet location on a modern (2018) farmhouse 6 km from main road. This is a traditional B&B with friendly chatty hosts Phil and Kana. Breakfast is cereal, cheese, salami, bread, fruit, marmalade, butter, jam, milk. The kitchen has shared microwave and toaster, full cutlery/crockery and each room has own fridge. 30min drive to Albany or Denmark or West Cape Howe. Plenty of dirt roads for running or gravel biking and the Munda Biddi is about 10km away (ride to Albany or Denmark). This place is perfect for chilling away from it all. There is no stove but we did not find this to be a problem, had a pre-cooked lasagna and a coles caesar salad and plenty of own foods and meats.
- Nina (9/5): Superb - Very nice place situated on a beautiful piece of land. The hosts are great and it was really interesting talking to them. I love the more personal 3 bedroom layout of the BnB. Everything was squeaky clean and well organized. When I asked for a place to hang up wet stuff, Kana immediately set up a clothing rack for us, which was great. Breakfast was good - we got fresh fruit every morning! We were the only guests in the BnB during our stay, but I do imagine that if all three bedrooms are occupied, the comfort level will highly depend on the other guests that stay, because you can hear it in your room if people are in the common area.
- Marie (9/5): Verygood - Nice and relax
- William (9/5): A wonderful stay. Will visit again - Lovely rooms. Very clean. Lovely property and the hosts were great.
- Isabel (10/5): Exceptional - Place was super clean and comfy! Nice to have a communal kitchen and breakfast every morning. Phil and Kana are lovely hosts with lots of local knowledge and recommendations.
- Jess (9/5): A little slice of paradise - The location was fantastic a little slice of paradise! The communal areas were too cramped for my preference
- Lynne (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Kana and Phil. - The breakfast was continental, fresh fruit salad, cereal and fresh bread, tea and coffee available,as was juice.
The hosts were lovely and attentive, but leaving you to enjoy your breakfast.
The rooms and facilities SPOTLESS,the bed linen and towels were luxurious! Nothing ๐we were very happy, but initially we were shocked at the remoteness but soon adapted.
- Gruszecka (10/5): If we could we would stay much longer. - Breakfast and hospitality as well as the accommodation were great! The place was a dream for those who wanted to have amazing view and a peaceful and relaxing time. it is one of the most beautiful spots in the country. We loved the place and the people running it. We could have a great company as well as a very comfortable place. We learned a lot about life and challenges in the country in a dry season.
- Sue (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable and clean, hosts very friendly and helpful.
- Aadya (9/5): Superb - Perfect place for a get away with a lot to see around. Pretty near to most of the attractions. The host and their personalised service was exceptional and i will for sure book this place again and recommend to anyone who wants homely feel.
- Amritpal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dionne (8/5): Peaceful, comfortable beds within an easy drive to Denmark & Albany - I loved the location, the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was cereal and toast. Lovely fresh rainwater. Large bathroom. Very clean.
Lovely hostess Breakfast table was awkward.
I would have loved local preserves and Vegemite with a good quality sourdough. Maybe raspberries (seasonal) with bircher
I would have paid $20 for a breakfast that was special.
I didn't like putting my details into a shared diary I found the check in process quite strange.
- Lukas (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful stay in the wilderness. Very comfortable and our hosts were very friendly. We even got to see kangaroos at dusk coming back to the B&B!
- Anthony (8/5): Not easy to get to but worth it when you get thete - Very hospitable people very friendly The road in ! Curio Road not fit for normal cars. Itโs 4wd country!
- Denise (10/5): A true Hidden Gem - The property was very clean, and everything we required
- Roman (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (10/5): A very relaxing, quality house to enjoy. - Welcoming hosts. Info provided on sightseeing in area. Walk around farm with host. Very relaxed. Quiet. Good conversations with hosts and other guests
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (10/5): It was relaxing and super nice - The property was absolutely stunning! The views are just incredible.
Very clean and tidy, good value for money.
The hosts were amazing and helped out as much as possible and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Breakfast each morning was lovely.
I would definitely recommend Albany Hidden Valley Bed and Breakfast ๐
- Boon (9/5): Very friendly and helpful hosts. - The hosts were very friendly and tried to assist where they could. Ideal for 2 person room. Quiet and isolated place but not too far from Albany town. Some parts of the farm were opened for us to explore for photography. We learnt much about cattle farming lifestyle. The layout of the dining table is a bit small. It can be rearranged to fit 6 guests but it is alright if the guests are willing to wait to use the space.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenda (9/5): Highly recommend for a out of town experience.. - The host and hostess were extremely friendly and very welcoming, both couldn't do enough for us.. Nothing was too much trouble for them both..
Location was a little out of town, environment extremely pleasant and tranquil view.. ๐ At times the room temperature was a little cool, however it was winter, but very cosy..
- Pelham (10/5): Hosts were exeptionally friendly and helpful - Gravel road wet and muddy
- Dano's (10/5): A brilliant place to stay. - Communication before arrival was first class. Phil and Kana the hosts were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. The location was exactly what I had hoped for, quiet, out of the way, lush green grass, fresh air and very very picturesque. The sun rising over the mist in the valley early morning was magical.
If you are looking to stay in a country style bed and breakfast a short distance out of Albany or Denmark I highly recommend Albany Hidden Valley Bed and Breakfast. There wasn't really anything that I did not like.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Remmelt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hirak (9/5): Love to back here and relax again - First of all I like to thanks Phil and Alana for such a wonderful dinner..
We were in Hidden valley during Easter Holidays. It was during Easter day, because all the restaurants were closed.. it was Phil volunteer to cook dinner for us.. just before this trip, I had one bad experience in Mongolia particularly during Chinese New year.. the hotel management doesn't care we got to feed or no.. after that sort of experience, Phil and Kana was just so so welcoming and comforting.
Even before we reach to Hidden Valley, we received one email from them about small warning about Google map and infact they wrote a very descriptive email, how to reach Hidden valley..
It was almost night 8-8:30 we were supposed to reach there and we mislead by Google map (which comes in last 500m) we called Kana and Phil.. within 10mins Phil came to rescue us and lead us to their place.. which We really appreciate..
Later during the stay, we understand the geography better and we realized the location which Google map is showing actually correct but only the way in (about last 500m) is wrong..so guys just bear in mind.. drive carefully and look for number 2171 box (on the left) on Hunwick road and get in the earthy road to reach the property.. The location as per Google map was right but the drive way marked in Google drive isn't.. so I guess that's the only inconvenience we faced..
- Kemp (8/5): Very good -
- Monica (10/5): Beautiful home, with wonderful hosts - Lovely stay at a working farm, enter via an easy access gravel road that is enveloped by trees, in a picturesque location just outside of Albany. Phil and Kana will make you feel at home and have thought of everything that you could need. The property if fully self sufficient in a newly built home with comfy bed and linen. Kana even provided me with some fruit for my travels home. You wonโt be disappointed.
- Harald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Southern Country B&B at its finest. Wonderful hosts. Outstanding facilities. 5 stars in every way. - Of all the places I've travelled and experienced over many years this place is an absolute standout. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about my stay at Albany Hidden Valley. Meeting the most gracious hosts Phil and Kana was a highlight. The location is very convenient to both Albany and Denmark but includes the opportunity to stay out in a peaceful country valley with scenic views, fresh air, deliciously clean water and the most brilliant evening stars. Phil and Kana, over many years, have lovingly built a truly exceptional home, farm and property, It is completely self sustained with all the best technologies, modern facilities and communication services that people expect in an urban environment. Simply beautiful. Nothing to be disliked.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Location, peaceful scenic. New home with quality furnishings.
- Jian (10/5): Very recommend - Beautiful house
- Taffey (9/5): A wonderful find!!! - Location was perfect. Kana and Phil are just starting out in their BnB adventure and it would be mean to say this is a dislike. Perhaps constructive ideas for improvement. Bedrooms could do with a ceiling fan, just to move the air at night. Also they might consider a larger fridge. I and another guest were constructively vying for fridge space.
