• Pilipchuk (10/5): - Отличное расположение в городе, легко добираться от центра по приезде. Также можно найти в 5-ти минутах места, чтобы выпить кофе/покушать. Сами апартаменты были чистыми, отличный душ, мягкая большая кровать. Возможно, было немного прохладно, но при этом в комнате очень хорошие, теплые одеяла, поэтому ночью не возникало проблем.

• Marijn (3/5): We hadden er echt ietscsn verwacht maar het was zeer teleurstellend. - De locatie Het was heel erg gehorig. Weinig privacy. Geen eigen wc - badkamer op de kamer. We moesten de schroeven van het bed aandraaien.

• Henri (8/5): We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in een mooi huis in een leuke buurt. - De hele benedenverdieping bestaande uit een keuken, douche, apart toilet en een slaapkamer, stond voor ons ter beschikking. Het is een prachtig oud pand met alle mooie kenmerken, zoals de mozaïek vloer en hoge plafonds. Een tip voor de volgende bezoekers, neem sloffen mee want alle ruimtes zijn te bereiken via een centrale hal. Verder is de host erg behulpzaam en aardig. Er zijn leuke ontbijt/ lunch gelegenheden op loopafstand. Er was niets dat tegenviel. Wij hadden zelf geen sloffen mee en moesten daarom steeds schoenen aan buiten de slaapkamer dat was misschien wat onhandig.

• Wouter (9/5): - The architecture and interior of the building are top notch. Alex is a very accommodating host and interesting conversation partner. I will definitely come back! A little street noise at night but nothing serious.
• Erwin (8/5): Bovenste verdieping in hippe (buiten)wijk - Het is een mooi gebouw in een hippe wijk, buiten het centrum (30min van Antwerpen centraal lopen). Voelt prettig. We hadden volgens de eigenaar een upgrade van de kamer gekregen - op de bovenste verdieping, dus veel trappen - en in de praktijk was dat links een slaapkamer en badkamer en rechts (extra) een keuken en woonkamer die we ook mochten gebruiken. Prima allemaal. Het was volgens de eigenaar een upgrade, maar (de foto's van) de kamer op onze origineel geboekte kamer zag er ruimer uit. De slaapkamer/badkamer die we nu hadden was prima, alleen hadden we een lauwe douche en bleef het badkamerlicht samen met een afzuiger automatisch twee/drie minuten aan, na gebruik. Met name in de nacht niet echt leuk. De gekozen schuifdeur sloot niet helemaal ook, en dat is bij toiletbezoek niet echt handig. Dus warm water, een gewone deur en een losse knop voor licht en afzuiging is beter.

• Daniela_Bañuelos (10/5): Muy recomendable - Me encantó el trato de Alex. La casa y la habitación fenomenal. Todo muy limpio, amplio y espacioso. Muy accesible en tren desde cualquier punto de la ciudad. Tambien valoré mucho el barrio y el silencio. Ideal para descansar y pasar unos días en amberes. Sin duda, si regreso a Amberes me volvería a hospedar en este alojamiento.

• Saps (3/5): Uncomfortable and stressful state due to significant issues with cleanliness and privacy - The bed was comfy, and the location is great—close to interesting cafés and bars, and within walking distance of the Old Town. The host also allowed me to leave my things before check-in, as an earlier check-in wasn't possible. Unfortunately, my stay had several significant downsides. Firstly, the host kindly allowed me to leave my luggage early, what was great. Upon arrival, I received complicated instructions for multiple locks, some of which were confusing and inconvenient to remember, especially considering a short stay. The host requested additional time for cleaning due to personal circumstances, pushing my check-in from 3 PM to 4 PM. However, the room wasn't ready until 4:20 PM. Despite the delay, the cleanliness was disappointing. Upon entering, I found someone else's shirt in the wardrobe, a dirty cloth left behind, unsanitary toilet conditions, hair on the sink, and stained towels. Overall, the hygiene was below acceptable standards. A significant inconvenience was that the bathroom and toilet were not private—they were located separately, accessible only through a shared corridor. This layout greatly compromised privacy and comfort. Moving to and from these facilities required wearing outdoor shoes, as indoor footwear was not mentioned beforehand, creating further discomfort. The host thoroughly explained external locks but neglected instructions for securing the bathroom, leaving me unsure how to lock the door and uncomfortable about using the facilities freely. Additionally, despite Wi-Fi being advertised, no access information was provided upfront, requiring additional contact with the host. The lack of basic amenities like a trash bin in the room and the unexpected restriction of kitchen access without prior notice further diminished my comfort, particularly when I fell ill and couldn’t even prepare basic tea. Had these conditions been clearly communicated beforehand, I might have reconsidered my choice. Overall, these unaddressed inconveniences significantly impacted my sense of comfort, privacy, and security, making my stay stressful and unsatisfactory.
• Crystal (1/5): Walked into hell - The property was not as described and very disappointing. When we arrived at 4:11PM, the facilities were still being cleaned and the kitchen was a mess. I booked this place over a month in advance and had contact with the host the week of our visit. This should not have been a surprise to him. We left the property 4 hours after we arrived and one of those hours was spent on the phone to booking.com. The cleaner left just before we did, to give you an idea of the disorganisation. The rooms are not soundproof and the bathroom is not private. It does not lock. The room is located by the front door and you have to walk through the foyer and shared staircase to get to the bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is shared with the host (surprise!) and we were informed that we wouldn't have access to this area until the evening or the next morning. I got the impression from the host that really, we weren't welcome to use this area at all. The host was temperamental. He accused us of leaving a door unlocked - as we were going through it - although he admitted that he never told us about this "rule"! He threatened us with a camera he had pointed at the door? We proceeded to ask him about the inaccuracy of his listing. He admitted to using AI to generate the listing and took no responsibility his oversight and lying. This type of listing really should not be allowed on booking.com. There are a few negative reviews that I didn't see when I booked it as I was blinded by the high rating. Trust what they say. If you are considering staying here, I highly recommend that you carefully consider what you are getting yourself into.

My room was cosy and inviting, with an excellent bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The location is ideal—peaceful yet within easy reach of the city’s cultural highlights and main sights. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the host. Erudite, gracious, and attentive, he strikes the perfect balance between discretion and warm hospitality. His engaging conversation added an extra layer of depth to my stay. A wonderful place for those who appreciate comfort, character, and a touch of intellectual hospitality.

• Hartmut (10/5): The host is the bibliophile in this wonderful mansion - Wonderful location close to the center of Antwerp (excellent tram connection) and just a stroll away from the KSKA. A variety of shops and restaurants nearby. Very warm welcome by a wonderful host that fulfilled any wish. Spacious double room, very clean bath, and access to a fully equipped kitchen, where you don't have to be alone but may also make cheerful experiences. Bath across the hallway (but almost noone crossing). Located in the low emission zone of Antwerp, so if you travel by car, check if you can get there by car, which at least requires registration.

• Sian (10/5): Beautiful accommodation with a lovely, welcoming host. - The property is a beautiful old building built in the early 1900’s. It has been lovingly restored by the host and is warm, comfortable accommodation with all the amenities you will need. The kitchen and bathroom aren’t directly attached the bedroom however the guests have exclusive access to the kitchen and bathroom which are the only other rooms on the first floor. You will just share a front door and hallway with the host. The host, Alex, is incredibly welcoming and full of all sorts of fascinating information. We enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and a biscuit upon my arrival. The property is in a great location with easy access via tram from the city centre. I would highly recommend a stay here. Perhaps a lock on the bedroom door might make some people feel more secure if you have tradesmen working on the property and using the front door.
