• Christian (9/5): Great value attic apartment - All as described and in good order. I would have liked to have a note somewhere in the property that told me where to park. There are detached double garages on both sides of the property and i parked in front of the wrong one (the white one is correct).

• Tiara (5/5): Communication was bad. Very rude when asked about parking. "what do you want" was the response I got - Close to downtown. In a quiet area. Very little traffic on the street. Host was not clear on where the parking was, a neighbor in the building says it happens all the time. Due to the poor communication, my partner and I were woken up with Axon Property management pounding on the door. When I called when he other party arrived to ask where to park, the host answered stating "hello, what do you want?" when I explained who I was he stated again "what do you want". I explained that the other party arrived before I and was asking where the parking what. He rudely stated "in front of the garage, I'm in a meeting" then hung up the phone with not farther explanation as there were 2 garages on site. Communication with the host was extremely poor.
• Jason (1/5): Beware of booking this location - Nothing. Place was double booked, I walked in on the renter. I was not able to use the booking and have been trying to get refunded for nearly four months but the owner is not responding to booking.com to confirm I did not stay there in order for them to issue a refund. Beware that there may be shady/scam activities with this location. This whole experience has me questioning the legitimacy of booking with booking.com and has left me reservations of using the service ever again.

• trepanier (1/5): Host needs to figure a better way to care for guest - It could of been ok if it had been cleaned Im trying to get a refund. I have never experienced this before. Towels were dirty. Bed not made properly. Hair on the toilet. We left and got a hotel room. No way we wanted to sleep there, i ask if maybe the cleaner did not showed up. Never got a response. Big waste of our time and hopefully we get our $ back.

Instructions to use tv , a handrail on upper staircase , A few more utensils one sugar spoon. No small cutting knives , and maybe a box of Kleenex .otherwise well equipped for kitchen .
• Irene (6/5): Muy alejado del centro - La ubicación no es muy buena, a 2,1 kms del centro. Se accede por unas escaleras muy empinadas porque es un ático. El apartamento es abuhardillado y aunque no está mal, no lo recomiendo. Solo hay aire acondicionado en la habitación. En el salón un ventilador. Sobre todo no lo recomiendo por la distancia al centro.

• Tin Cho (7/5): For the price, you really can’t complain. It is good place for short stay. - It is good for the price. We stayed 2 nights with my puppy. Perfect place for 2 adults and a puppy. Stairs. Better don’t bring big luggage.

• Christine (1/5): No Way!! - We ended up not staying. Very rude owner who is only in it for the money. He at no point while he was on the phone with me sound as though he cared other than his payment. . The house was located in a rather run-down area and was not very well kept up on the outside. The instructions to enter were wrong. It took me 2 tries before the owner picked up when i called for better instructions as he needed to be contacted to remotely allow us in. While I was trying to reach him, a neighbour came out and said we wouldn't want to stay there as it is cockroach invested and had also had some flooding. She knew a young woman who lived on the second floor of the house. When I questioned the owner he became unpleasant on the phone and just kept saying we had to pay no matter what and to give him my personal information. While standing there, the smell of someone smoking cannabis was so strong that my eyes were stinging and watering. I am not sure where it was coming from, but felt it would certainly stop anyone from opening a window for fresh air. In the end we didn't stay as we didn't feel comfortable with the whole situation. At this point I have not had a response regarding a refund. I wouldn't suggest staying there.

This places should not be advertised on a credible site like booking.com - Location is good We booked this place for 2 nights and could not sleep there for one night. We had to find another place to stay. Entire place is old, cramped together and smelling. There was no proper ventilation, most of the windows were permanently closed and screwed together. There was a dirty fan provided (full of dust) which could make someone sick. The refrigerator is so old, its freezer portion had a fan inside. The sofa chair/bed was dirty. The entire place is not fit for healthy human habitation. If you stay in this place, prepare for hospitalization after you check out.

• Smith (1/5): Never stayed. Had to leave the premises due to cockroach investation - Unfortunately a bad experience from the start. Neighbour issues and cockroach investation. We had to book into hotel.
• Gareth (7/5): Reasonable - Compact little apartment, was reasonable enough, provided the amenities required. A/c kept the temperature comfortable despite being in the roof space. Is a bit run down and tired, in particular the kitchen, is a lot of stairs to the top, room is in the roof space, so some limited head height in areas. Mirror and shower cubicle were not that clean in the bathroom. Lack of pots and pans for cooking.
• Tushar (5/5): Welcome to the sauna - It was not that far from downtown. About 20 mins walk. Not a loud neighbourhood. Has some stuff like sofa, fridge, cooking top, microwave, etc. Basic amenities like shower gel, dish washing soap, WiFi. First. It is at the top of a cottage so you need to take steep stairs to reach the room. I wish I took a picture of that too. Then since it is at the top, it is very hot. Like sauna. They have a small cooler but the effect shows in 30-40 mins, even when you open all the windows. Then the most worrisome, cockroach. There are so many cockroaches there, everywhere. In the kitchen, you have some plates, bowls, pans, etc but no spatula to cool.

• Ophélie (2/5): Unfortunately, this stay did not meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend this listing. - The only real positive was the location — you can walk to the city center in under 30 minutes, which is convenient. I arrived exactly at the official check-in time (3:00 PM), but the apartment wasn’t ready. I had to wait outside in the sun for 20 minutes while the cleaning person, who was there with her two children, finished preparing the place. The listing describes the apartment as “vintage,” but in reality, it just feels old and neglected. It’s the kind of place where you don’t really want to look behind the furniture. I didn’t use the kitchen, but I did check it and found bugs inside, despite insect traps being installed on the walls. I had to kill several bugs in the bedroom as well, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. The apartment was extremely hot. While it was about 25°C (77°F) outside, it felt like over 30°C (86°F) inside. There’s no air conditioning — just a dusty and very noisy fan, which made it hard to sleep. On top of that, the neighbors downstairs (this is essentially an attic apartment above a house) were quite loud. They were drinking outside when I arrived, and played music late into the night, around 1 a.m. Another important thing to mention: the access to the apartment is via a very steep staircase that feels unsafe. It’s definitely not suitable for everyone, and if you’re traveling with a suitcase, it’ll be a challenge. I had a backpack and still found it tricky. To sum up: very hot apartment, presence of bugs, noise from downstairs, difficult access — not a restful experience. I wish I had spent a bit more money to stay somewhere cleaner, calmer, and more comfortable.

• Khaju (3/5): Not recommended - Cockroaches, needs more electric fan or exhaust fan… the A/C and the power stopped working in the morning and owner didn’t reply to my msg. We ended up looking for the circuit breaker to reset it.
• James (10/5): Nice and comfortable and the place was cozy. It lived up to the name “Cozy Downtown.” - Cozy and comfortable and the location was convenient. I liked the way the old was juxtaposed with the new, with new floors and modern appliances. Steep stairs and the toilet paper hook was not properly fastened to the wall.

• Tracey (1/5): Unhappy with tardiness and security - I didn't like the fact that pull out couch was not changed the sheet still had choc popsicle on it that my granddaughters popsicle which we forgot in freezer and they were gone also there was chips under couch when i pulled out bed I saw there was no blanket for couch bed and the comforter on bed stunk personally I think I should get rebate I'm a very frequent customer to booking.com and my reviews are read unless I get discount my review won't be very good if I do I will mention the owner fixed my problem /complaint thank you have a good day also security is nit good u don't change lock code after each guest which means when it's locked st nite any old customer can come in or if not here very disappointed

The apartment has very steep stairs so not super comfortable to get luggage upstairs, the sofabed mattress was older than the apartment itself.

There was a sofa cum bed buy no fan or air-conditioning in living area. For the bedroom, there was window AC that was not fitting well in the window No extra garbage bags for the kitchen or washroom bins A lot of stairs to climb to get into the apartment 🙃

• Cormier (5/5): It was ok except for the ignorant tenant below yelling obscenities at me out the window when I got b - There was no included breakfast the location was good , only drawback was that it wasn't ready when I arrived at 5 pm the cleaning lady arrived at the same time as me to clean it from the previous renter . The stair way was very steep I'm sure not up to building code to say the least (I am a carpenter so I do know this for sure )

• Spencer (1/5): Stay Away Nasty, Dirty, the host is not a loving and hum keep changing he perdon - No breakfast and if there were I would not drinl water from that place. Run Down area Downtown. Tiny little houses with poor Landscaping.The parking was in an unkept dirtyy area. The area dont seem safe at nights Nothing. Landlord could patch out the holes, paint the unit and fix the floors. Most importantly seal the windows. I stayed there it was windy and minus 2 outside. I had to use my jacket as a curtain to cover the window. The breeze that was coming through was unbearable. The unit is in the a loftwith no with very dry air and no circulation in the unit. The unit looks and smells like some on lives there that havent had sshower in weeks. Plus whomeever likes there is a smoker. Between the stink and the smoke it was very dificult to take a breath. There are no was cloth or mats outside the shower. The shower desnt drain. I had water above my ankles trying to take a shower. The bed linens had hair and makeup all over the sheets were crushes up. The had not been changed. The kitchen had some sponge that was dirty and disgusting,, The stove had food and stains in the top, The host is very rude and dismissive

• Tamara (5/5): Maybe someone will have better experience... - We have arrived at the property at 7pm, It was stated that property has a sofa and a bed. There was no bedding for the sofa. Typically in such places there's some extra bedding for sofa in a closet or somewhere, checked everything - nothing. Called the host, but he said that we arrived too late (at 7PM) and he cannot accommodate our request and stopped responding to calls. I even suggested we even come to any place in Kingston by our own car to pick up the bedding from whoever manages the property but he refused. After escalating process with booking.com (who said if we cannot use the property, it should be 100% refunded), we decided not to use the property (we just left not touching anything, I took some photos before leaving). I was calling the host who agreed to 50% refund, had to call for couple weeks multiple times till it was processed. Putting 5/10 as it was only 50% and booking said should be 100% according to the rules of the platform, also because it took so much time and nerves. I would gladly do 10 out of 10 (because I believe everyone can make mistakes, and missing bed linen is obviously a mistake) if our communication with the host would be the following: "Oh, guys, you cannot use my booking? I am sorry, I forgot to put extra linen, and I cannot help you with that as I am out of town now, let me offer you a refund then, I will process this ASAP" But it was not like this.

• Helen (5/5): Toi hot to sleep - Nice to have off street parking It was like sleeping in an oven. No gan provided and all windows had been left open do it was boiling hot. No teas, no coffee. Flip flops left in the bathroom.

• Phillip (1/5): Couldn’t , didn’t stay! STAY AWAY! - Nothing good to say about this property First the lawn in front not mowed in recent memory, a “For Lease” sign leaning over the sidewalk. The mailbox full of old papers and mail. The stairs are steep enough to require a Sherpa to assist in climbing. The rooms were musty smelling, not aired in memory. The Center of the rooms were the only place to stand upright. The bed was shoehorned into the bedroom with no place for anything else. The wiring hanging into the bedroom on the outside wall.
