Guest Reviews
- Tünde (9/5): Mi biztos jönnènk màskor is - Segîtőkèsz szemèlyzet,( mikrohullàmút is kaptunk), felszerelès müködött, pite volt, törölközőt többször cserèltèk, napi takarîtàs, kènyelmes àgy, Jó, vàltozatos reggeli. Az utcai zaj, villamos hangos. Szemèlyesen a szúnyogok zavartak mèg
- silvia (2/5): - A descrição e fotos nao são compatíveis com a realidade
- Sylvia (8/5): Lovely stay - Very good location. Large clean room. Extra pillows in the wardrobe. Nice breakfast. The AC in the room didn’t work very well. Mina did bring us a fan which helped.
- Yamen (9/5): Superb - Clean and the owner is a very kind and helpful lady.
- Sofia (6/5): A nice room, good location, small shower... - Good breakfast, good bed, good towels. Shower was too small
- Johnathon (7/5): Good location and convenient to the airport. - It’s a good location, only 20 minutes to the centre. The bed was comfy. It’s not proper aircon and there were lots of building works in the building so we couldn’t keep the windows open for airflow. The lift is a bit terrifying.
- Glavan (3/5): Not so good... - Only that it's near the city centre ... How to like a room full of mosquitos, a lift/elevator cripy-have to use it because one of my leg, sometimes.
Breakfast so simple,and...sorry ,but the small room where the lady keeps foods is not proper... except the area, nearly city centre nothing to enjoy!
Also all this days,it's an old lady on one balcony, skinny who smoking...maybe the owner....in the end I do not know-everyone who stays there,do not notice this aspects???
- Krysta (9/5): Superb -
- Christiaan (9/5): Superb -
- Greta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Polk (6/5): Lovely place overall but the room could have been more comfortable. - The host was wonderful — warm & kind! The location was great. Unfortunately the AC didn’t work while we were there and it was very hot. The host tried to get it fixed.
- Annalisa (8/5): excellent location, comfortable stay - convenient location, clean and comfortable, great staff the lift
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Beautiful house and big clean rooms, quiet location 10 min walk from the centre. Functioning amenities. Soundproofing is not great but we weren't bothered by the other guests as there a few rooms
- Chris (8/5): Good value accommodation with a very friendly host - Mina is a very kind and friendly host who made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is well positioned to walk into the centre in about 15 minutes, and there is a tram stop almost outside the door. Breakfast was good, with plentiful options. It was 38 degrees, and so the air-conditioning struggled a bit. Perhaps free-standing fans would be a good addition. The lift isn't easy to operate unless you know the knack of holding down the buttons, so we struggled up 2 floors on arrival with our cases.
- La (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Lovely host, great value for money! - Mina was very welcoming, the rooms were comfy, location is well placed, just a 10 minute walk to historical city centre (Palazzo Vecchio etc). Good dining options close by and provided breakfast was varied and fresh. Room was not cleaned for check in time. Had to be moved to another room second day of staying, we were not informed about this so came back to someone else's belongings in the original room we were staying in, all of our items were very carefully moved however and after talking to Mina she was very apologetic.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good -
- Frederick (10/5): Very pleasant experience. Excellent location. - Nice, clean room. Nicer than we are used to. Windows on both sides provide good ventilation. Nice bathroom/shower that was private to our room. Elaborate breakfast with antipasto, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, bread, coffee, milk, a couple of types of juice, and some other stuff---served every day during our visit. The manager (Mina) was gracious and nice. She's multilingual, with particularly strong French, and very nice nice to our daughter during our stay.
Good location....right next to the tram to the airport, which also goes to the main train station, and very close to the "Academia."
- Nataliia (8/5): Great stay with convenient location - Comfy room with everthing you need, tasty breakfast with very good croissants and coffee.
Location was perfect - on a quiet street, but very close to center.
The host Mina was super nice and helpful. nothing I can complain about
- Vivian (10/5): Exceptional - Mina was exceptional. She gave great information about the Hotel during checkin and also regarding the highlights of Florence.
Breakfast was great with lots of options.
Tea provided in the room which was a nice touch.
Overall a great place. A small refrigerator would of been nice to keep drinks cold.
- Peter (9/5): Very good value for money, good location close to the city centre but very quite. - The breakfast was good. Not too much but sufficient and with good coffee!
At the hotel there was a small balcony that could be used by the guests. Superb! I would say everything was good but for improvement, there could be coffee/tee to be offered during daytime (e.g. between 10-18).
- Mary (8/5): Very good overall but small rooms - Very clean. Very good breakfast. Excellent staff Small room with a very small shower.
- Bartholomew (9/5): Superb -
- Hawkins (5/5): Passable - Marvelous experience
- Yanick (6/5): It was ok-ish - Good location. Small breakfast room. Old bathroom. Small TV.
- Helene (8/5): Very good -
- Valeriya (8/5): Very good -
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thiago (10/5): Exceptional - We got a fantastic support from the staff. Always friendly and willing to help.
- Muhammad (8/5): Very good - Value for money No fan in the room. Fan can save electricity, instead of using aircon
- Zuzana (8/5): Very good - Location close to the city centre, kind host. It was a bit challenging to get into the house. Nobody opened the door, nobody answered the phone, and replied to messages. I was waiting for approx. 30 minutes outside the house. The lady apologized afterwards, she did not hear the phone. But it was a very bad start.
- Ashleigh (10/5): A beautiful stay in Florence - Such a beautiful room and fantastic service. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast provided was a delicious spread of Italian food, a great start to each day. As Florence is a smaller city, we enjoyed the location just outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Within walking distance to everything. Highly recommend!
- Alona (9/5): Superb -
- Marcin (9/5): A great place to stay in Florence. Great location, clean, comfy beds and nice breakfast. - Great location, only short walk from all major sightseeing attractions. Area is quiet and rooms are very clean. Tasty breakfast, comfy bed there's nothing really I can complain about. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Florence. nothing
- Yannik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fien (6/5): Locked outside the premisses - They forgot to give us the access code of the front door. When we arrived from our diner a little bit before midnight, we couldn't enter. We were locked outside for 20 minutes, tried to call them and tried the booking chat. Eventually we had to wake-up the neighbours to let us in. They were angry, which is completely understandable. Shameful!
The staff at the reception was very bad. 1 advice: ask for the code upon your arrival! They will not give it, if you don't specifically ask.
Don't expect too much of the breakfast, it's very basic.
- Alethea (10/5): Exceptional - Very large room , air con worked great, very quiet area, 100%
- Georgiana (9/5): Superb - Farely close to city center. Nice rooms. Sewage smell and strange noise in the bathroom. Thin doors, you can hear noise from the hallway.
- Alireza (3/5): Poor - It was not clean. The room was very small. It was not hotel.
- Behrang (9/5): Superb - Helpful staff, good breakfast, air conditioned room, comfortable bed, clean, close to top attractions Would have been good to have a fridge in the room.
Parking is a headache. This is not a criticism of the property. The host actually provided valuable information so that we plan properly.
The property is in the traffic zone and you get fined if you enter it. We were lucky that we arrived on Sunday, when the rule doesn’t apply, so we could drop off our luggage and drive to the parking recommended by the property (10 min walk). After check out, we had to walk to the parking with our luggage. Just a heads up for the folks with car.
- Enrique (6/5): It was OK for the price - Breakfast was nice and walking distance to historical places Smelly bathroom and old fashioned bedroom
- Dieter (7/5): Good stay right outside the city center - The location was pretty good, far enough from the city center to avoid the noise, close enough to walk. There is a metro station right outside, which would it it even better, but at the time of writing (Aug ‘24) there were works on the road so it wasn’t operational when we were there)
The room was cleaned daily and there was an OK breakfast (nothing too fancy, but more choice then the typical Italian breakfast of a cornetto and espresso 😅) The room is pretty basic, it would’ve been nice to have a small refrigerator and/or some more power sockets. There is also an elevator, but I didnt like spending too much time in it - it was very small and required holding down a button to make it move.
- Saleh (5/5): I needs a lot to be a hotel - No parking … ok in general Normal
- Ellen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dominika (9/5): Great place in Florence - B&B is perfectly located - it's still the city center but in the calmer part. Which means that the neighbourhood is quite. Room was spacious and well equipped. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Maybe I would be great to have a coffee maschine in the dining hall. But everything was great.
- Martin (4/5): Disappointing - good location a tourist trap.
claim to have a parking place, but you need to walk for 20 minutes or take a taxi to a public parking. old furniture, stinky bathroom
overpriced for the serivces offered
- Iulia (8/5): Very good -
- Lorena (9/5): Clean, comfirtable , friendly - Good price, breakfast was good, clean and comfortable. The shower, too small, and the lift very small and a little difficult to use, but it worked.
- Lucie (9/5): Superb - The location is nice, the room was comfortable.
- Rajesh (9/5): A memorable stay !!! Thanks to the beautiful rooms. - Aesthetically soothing rooms !!!
- William (9/5): Excellent service, great staff and location - The staff is very kind and helpful. The accommodation meets expectations, but the staff and their service go beyond them. We will definitely come back The toilette was a bit old and noisy. but nothing major
- Sanghamitra (8/5): Very good -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): I loved the simple comfort of this place. Nothing fancy, but calm and relaxing. - This is a wonderful spot, centrally located and very quiet at night. A quiet small balcony to smoke or relax. Very hospitable hosts, just enough continental breakfast to get started for the day.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cario (9/5): Beautiful Florence - Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean. The room is spacious. Room cleaning and linen gets changed happens every day. Breakfast is very good👍 The shower screen is small. Generally speaking this is common in Italy.
- Marge (7/5): It was OK - Mina and her staff were very nice Didn’t like the lift
- Joanna (10/5): Great location, beautifully decorated and comfortable and the breakfasts were the best we had anywhere on our an Italy t - We loved the decor and comfort of our room and bathroom. The location was great and we could walk everywhere. The breakfasts were superb and our host was incredibly helpful. Nothing
- Dylan (8/5): Very good -
- Cora (10/5): Best night of sleep I’ve had in three weeks. - The staff were friendly and super helpful. And the location is close enough to the main part of the city if you’re willing to walk, but far enough that it’s not noisy at night.
- Wilbur (8/5): Very good - Convenient location. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Alexander (10/5): A wonderful inexpensive hotel with a family atmosphere, where you want to return again - A small hotel that occupies an entire floor in an old town building and is a ten minute walk from most of Florence's attractions. Wonderful and friendly staff, Mina especially helped us, who from the first minutes of our acquaintance offered us a map of the city, where she drew the main attractions. And although we had already been to Florence, this concern of Mina really touched me. By the way, mine suggested parking for 15 euros per day, which was very useful. Currently, the streets near the hotel are undergoing renovations related to the launch of the tram service, but this is Italy, where something is always being built and repaired. The hotel itself was very quiet
- Marsha (10/5): Great location a little away from all of the crowds - Wonderful location within walking distance of the Accademia Gallery
- Liselotte (6/5): Good location but not a hotel to spend any time in. - Location was good for walking into the city. Quiet area.
Nice having breakfast as an option although I would have liked to have 2 coffees but the hostess made drinks in the kitchen and disappeared.
The fresh fruit salad was delicious.
Room was clean, key code for front door worked well. The airconditioning in my room either did not work or was set higher than I find comfortable, the controls in the room did not work so the room was warm and stuffy. Opening the window improved the ventilation but brought in mosquitoes.
I booked a kingsize/twin room but was in a very small room; disappointing for the price.
- Paolo (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - Lovely area, a short walk into the centre of Florence. Basic room, bit old fashioned but very clean. Let's face it, you're not spending much time in here when you're out seeing Florence.
Plenty to eat for breakfast and good coffee!
- Heini (6/5): Pleasant - Good location near the center Strong detergent smell, which caused coughing irritation because I suffer from asthma
- Diane (7/5): Mina, who looked after us, was very helpful and worked very hard. - Lovely breakfast. On main road. Very noisy. The lift was painfully slow.
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional - The room was lovely, The manager went above and beyond; my wife is gluten intolerant, and on our last day, she told us to take the whole loaf of GF bread with us! The location is also close to the sites. Nothing
- Aniket (8/5): vintage cute property, fantastic breakfast - Location fantastic, breakfast fabulous, the caretaker is hardworking and the rooms are vintage with tall windows, the feel is very vintage, there is a cute small balcony where i had wine.
The breakfast is nice, the B&B is closest to the David n walkable from both the main Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria.
A small bus C1 can take u to the other side of the Arno river from the San marco square just 2 mins from the B&b..
Try the atomic falafel on the same road, it's yummy. I wish the rates were a little low , rest everything perfect,
i think it's a norm in Italy to have smaller shower cubicles which we are not used to but as i had an even smaller cubicle in my Napoli B&B, i suppose that's a general feature .
- Kernan (7/5): Good -
- Colleen (7/5): Good -
- Irma (10/5): Exceptional - Close to everything. Mimi is very friendly and excellent customer service. Small shower space
- Lucie (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (10/5): Thank you, Mina, for having us at your wonderful hotel! - This was a wonderful find--Mina was a gem, the room was very large, bathroom modern and clean, and just far away from the major hustle of the city to make sleeping easy. We were just short walks away from anything we wanted to see and do. Nothing.
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional - Mina the concierge was superlative. She was very kind, helpful and made me feel very cared for.
- Erzsebet (8/5): close to the center, nice B&B in Florence - Great location, not far from Medici Castle and Academia. The place is on the 2. floor, a nice small private B&B with an intercontinental breakfast with warm welcome. The bathroom with tiled, walls were with frescoes decorated.
The lady in the place was very kind and helpful. The room was small the bed was short, and has a thin shower cabin, not enough space for one, The room had a garden view, and no sun coming inside, usually quiet, but on the street did some reparation, so during the day it was very noisy.
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Marjo (9/5): Good service, excellent location - A wonderful staff, very friendly. The hostess made me vegan breakfast. Excellent location.
- Angelo (8/5): Very spacious room very good continental breakfast and helpful staff highly recommend this place if you are coming to Fl - This is a lovely property situated 20 minutes walking distance from the centre of Florence Nothing I didn’t like
- Amar (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Nadija (10/5): Exceptional - The location is excellent, you reach the historic center in 10min walk. Mina the host was the most welcoming, she even held our baggage for the afternoon after the check out. The breakfast was simple, but you had almost everything you will be having at home. It was tasty. The room was cleaned daily and everything was kept just right.
- David (10/5): Central and value for money - Mina the host makes you feel at home. The location is amazing. Very quite but central area
- Laura (10/5): Highly recommend! - Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating. Good breakfast, very warm and comfortable room and a 10 min stroll from the centre.
- Ann (1/5): Find another place and read all negative reviews - I loved being able to open windows, come and go as we pleased, and having breakfast when we got up. Read negative comments! All true. Location is remote and evenings are intimidating with little light, no security, and no public transportation. It’s not that close! We showed up for check-in on time after being hounded many times about the exact time. We stood at the door calling every number, emailing, texting, and messaging on WhatsApp on two phones. The owner finally decided to come downstairs and acted like we interrupted per important nap. There is a lift that barely fits one person, not an elevator. Twice it did not function. Owner is trying to keep costs down and has ZERO lights in the halls and if there are any they are never on. During the day, the light is from the tiny windows and not sufficient. At night it’s pitch black. You are in the dark walking up and down several flights of stairs several of which are chipped. Hallways are dark. There is a weird smell throughout and our windows were open at all times. And good luck finding her if you need her. Breakfasts were wonderful but you’re not getting a second cup of coffee since she makes them in the back and disappears after.
There are bathroom maintenance issues.
Our booking was for 3 adults and one child and only the 3 adults were showing up. This booking included the flights where all four of us were confirmed. It was caught immediately and affected several stays not just this one. Everyone corrected the mistake without fees or trouble as the room reserved was for the right amount of people and the same room whether there were 3 or 4 occupants. But this owner refused to accommodate and charged extra. Then she acted like she did me a favor for not charging for breakfast I had no issue paying for.
Pay attention to the negative reviews about her being dishonest. She tried it with me too. She was literally begging me to pay the city tax in cash separate from the overcharged bill. Begged. Why? What is she scamming? I refused. Please don’t stay here ever.
- Spencer (9/5): Superb - Not much choice regarding breakfast
- Niccolò (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- K.c.m. (7/5): Convenient and good location - Room was ok. Enough space, clean and convenient. Location was near the centre, only 15 minutes walk. Breakfast was sufficient and good. It could have more variety.
- Natalia (6/5): My stay was great. Would definitely recommend. - I liked the location, which is very close to the city center, and the lovely reception at the Relais. A better breakfast would have made my stay perfect. But there are several great cafes just around the corner. So that's always an alternative.
- Matteo (9/5): Superb -
