• Tim (4/5): not so great - The host was very communicative and nice. The bedding was clean. The bathroom was mostly clean. The location was convenient. I hate being the complainer, but this apartment and the building has lived a long life. The building smelled awful (mouse pee and garbage), was filthy, and I saw actual mice as well as mouse traps. The apartment didn't smell bad, thankfully and was much cleaner than the building. This apt is located on the very busy and loud 3rd Ave. It was impossible to drown out the noise of the street but I used a white noise app and it mostly worked. They also have earplugs available in the apt, so that was thoughtful and kind. There were no hand towels, soap (other than hand soap by the sink), or a floor towel by the showers, which meant wet feet on a marble-like floor. I left some bread on the counter only to return to find insects on the bread, so I then kept everything inside the not-so-clean fridge. Hot water was hit or miss. If you looked too close, you would see that the place hasn't had a deep clean in a long time. I'm sorry for this review Sara, you were most kind.
• Brandyss (4/5): Affordable for the holidays but wouldn’t stay again. - Location!! Location was amazing. Affordable during the holidays, which was a huge plus since we were only staying a night. The address listed is not the address of the apartment. We weren’t given proper instructions to get in so we were standing outside in the freezing cold trying to get the host to answer the phone. After 5 phone calls and multiple texts she finally answered and gave us the correct address. She was apologetic but it still wasn’t okay. I even messaged her the day before saying I didn’t think all of her messages were sent because the only one I received was one about being nice to neighbors who live there. Also, the apartment wasn’t very clean. One towel smelt really bad and had stains all over it. And there were a few dead bugs noticed.

• KIM (8/5): Good location and cosy - Very good location in East Village, close to everything, there’s also a Market Place open 24h down the road. The flat is small but cosy but definitely no more than two people for a stay. Host is very reactive Good value for money in Manhattan No elevator!!! As it wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the ad and the flat is on the 3rd floor we were two girls with two large suitcases each struggling on the stairs :/ One of the windows on the living room was not shutting properly and keep sliding down we had to put toilet paper to try to hold it closed The cleaning of the flat could have been better

• Dariia (10/5): I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would love to stay at this place again during my next visit to New York. - My stay was truly pleasant, and I really appreciate that. The apartment offers amazing value for money compared to other options in NYC — I was very happy with what I got for the price. The hosts were responsive and kind, and communication was smooth throughout my stay. The facilities were comfortable, and the location was great as well. I genuinely enjoyed my time there and would love to stay at this place again during my next visit to New York :))) The only small thing to note (and it’s definitely not a minus for the host!) is that since New York never sleeps, it can get a bit noisy at night. The windows face a lively street, so if you’re a light sleeper, it’s a good idea to bring earplugs. But honestly, that’s just part of the authentic NYC experience!
• michael (3/5): Road noise high all night so hard to sleep - The noise from the traffic on the road out front was loud for most of the night so it was hard to get any sleep, same for both nights of my stay
• Kieran (7/5): Great location, good value for money, poor quality sleep. - The location is absolutely fantastic, close to train lines and right in the middle of everything you want to do in Manhattan. Its good value for money considering the location and price. Its great having a lounge and kitchen to come back to each day, vs just a hotel room. Believe the other reviews. It is a loud street, and the windows, although double glazed, dont provide good sound insulation. The bed is unnecessarily small and firm. Had some pretty average sleeps. If you really care about top notch sleep - consider that. I recommend moving the bed to the other side of the room, and putting an extra blanket over the window. The house could definitely have been cleaner.
• yuexin (10/5): - Such a lovely stay for my NY trip. The location is perfect with supermarket and cinema nearby. Host is very responsive as well ;) would def come back The street might be bit noise in the night. Other than this everything is perfect.
• Elena (5/5): Zentral aber laut - Die Unterkunft war super gelegen. Sehr zentral, vieles war innerhalb von 30 Minuten sogar fußläufig erreichbar. Die Unterkunft war auch ganz süß eingerichtet. In der Unterkunft gab es Shampoo und Duschgel, sogar Spülung - das war super. Es hat aber Spülmittel und ein Spültuch gefehlt. Die Aufteilung der Unterkunft war ganz nett, lediglich handelt es sich hierbei nicht um 46 qm wie angegeben. Die Vermieterin Sara, war stets für Kontakt da, man konnte sie immer erreichen und sie hat auch immer von alleine geschrieben, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Die Küche ist ganz gut für zwei Personen ausgestattet, es gab eine Mikrowelle, einen Toaster, eine Kaffeemaschine, einen Herd und genügend Bestecke und Geschirr. Da waren wir wirklich begeistert für new Yorker Verhältnisse. Leider hat uns die Unterkunft garnicht zugesagt, es war sehr laut durch die Straße. Man sollte es sich gut überlegen, die Wohnung liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße (auch nachts!!). Wir konnten trotz Ohrstöpsel kein Auge zudrücken. Da wir zum Sightseeing hergekommen sind und die Wohnung primär zum schlafen und essen aufwärmen brauchten, war das definitiv leider eine schlechte Erfahrung. Das Badezimmer war leider nicht wirklich sauber, Der Boden war leider nur halbherzig gesaugt (es lagen zum Teil schwarze gelockte Haare auf dem Boden). Das Bett ist für zwei Personen etwas eng. Ich kann den meisten negativen Bewertungen (die wir leider erst vor Ort gelesen haben) vollkommen zustimmen. Für 150€ die Nacht definitiv zu teuer.
• Manel (6/5): Estancia agradable. - La ubicación del apartamento estaba cerca de la estación. Estaba limpio y tenía muchos electrodomésticos. Ponía que era para 4 personas y en el sofá cama no se podía dormir, era incómodo, el comedor no tenia cortinas oscuras y a las 6:00 a.m. ya había luz. Suerte que después de unos días nos trajeron un colchón hinchable y dormimos mejor. Tampoco nos gustó el ruido que había para dormir, el apartamento estaba en la avenida Nº3 (no era donde indicaba el anuncio), cuando no pasaba una ambulancia era un camión, o muchos coches pitando.

• Mariya (5/5): Great location, difficult sleeping situation for 4 adults - The location is top notch - close to the subway, shops and restaurants. Extremely noisy because of the busy street in front of the building - windows cannot stop the noise. The couch is way too small for 2 people to sleep there. The apartment is advertised for suitable for 4 ppl but we were 2 couples and the sleeping situation was very difficult due to the tiny couch. Keep that in mind if you decide to book :)

• Elisabeth (10/5): Accessible, clean, responsive host and great location. - Such a lovely stay! From the very beginning, the host was welcoming and kind. I appreciated the flexibility of the host in letting us come after the check in time frame. That was a huge help as we were traveling from a distance and coming directly from work. Collecting the property keys was very easy and clear. I loved that we could retrieve these independently. Apartment itself was wicked cute and very clean. Also, for those who are into the cocktail scene, this is a great space to stay as it is extremely close to several well known and renowned cocktail bars in NYC.

• Joseph (1/5): Very bad. - Location I ordered and paid for apartment through Booking 4 months before starting the rent. Close to the starting date of the rent I accidentally discovered that the apartment I paid for is no longer available for rent and I cannot correspond with property nor through phone, nor through messaging. I wrote to Booking customer services and the day before the start of renting, I was offered through Booking, who also did not notice that the paid apartment was unavailable, another apartment from the same property management, which was also already rented, and finally they gave me the one, that I am writing about it. The apartment is on the 4th floor without an elevator, in a dirty entrance, the air conditioner works in the bedroom, but there is only a fan in the living room, the toilet flush handle is broken, the bathroom is not clean enough. Sarah, the manager of all these properties, promised to help us with getting our suitcases up and down the stairs, and when we arrived, a girl from office was sent to help us. At the end of the rent period, Sarah promised to come to help us getting our suitcases down the stairs, but she did not come, notified that she had urgent business and she was ready to send someone instead of herself. The point is that she wrote this sms after the time for which a taxi to the airport was ordered, which I notified Sarah about in advance. I don't recommend getting involved with these people. By the way, after all this story, the original photos on Booking were replaced.
• Mitch (7/5): The apartment was good, but we found areas of mildew in the bathroom. An elevator would help! - There was no breakfast. The location in town of the apartment complex, for us, was very good. We are 86-year-old seniors and the 4th floor apartment without an elevator almost " killed " my wife and me, too. Our 3 pieces of luggage were almost "discarded" facing the 4 flights of stairs !!

Nicely renovated, sunny and quiet (very important since you are very close to Union Sq and usually places there are so noisy but this one is a gem). The host was great and super responsive. I will definitely repeat when back to the city :) Nothing
