Guest Reviews
- Bernard (9/5): Great place to stay in an exceptional location with views of the pyramids from the roof terrace. - Big room with private bathroom only 5 or 6 minutes walk from the Pyramid gate entrance. So a really great place to stay in a fantastic location with nice garden to also chill in after site seeing. The traffic is a bit noisy but that’s the same for all properties in Giza this close to the Pyramids. So if definitely stay here again if visiting the Pyramids or Grand Egyptian museum.
- Ahmad (9/5): - The location, the view, the staff

- Matias Alejandro (10/5): RELAX TOTAL !
- David (10/5): - Lovely place, great breakfast & helpful host
- Abd el hameed (9/5): -
- Shih (10/5): So friendly, solved all the problems we had. - Everything is good, lovely place to stay!
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (8/5): Very good - Good location nice and quiet excellent WiFi and has option to make your own food or hot drinks all in all a nice place
- Mudit (7/5): Good location and place, if you want to stay on the island - We got two rooms and had pretty much the attached kitchen and lounge space for us as well. Place was clean and felt new.
It is also right next to the Public dock and a decent restaurant.
Just was nice and even provided us with a basic breakfast Togo since we were leaving early in the morning. The outsides could be a little better. It had a lot of mosquitoes (or maybe they may be mosquito like bugs) but they had us s**t scared. Fortunately, we didn’t get bit due to the anti bug spray and outlet.
- Judith (5/5): I had to move and lost a weeks rent. The owner was kind and helped me into the boat. Not a recommendation unless you are - Good position and next door to a Jamaican restaurant The property was under renovation and there was builders rubble all over the place. The steps to get to the road were dangerous no handrail and for elderly people don’t go.
- Teck (10/5): Island living at its best! - The location is superb, facing the Nile River, just a 3 minutes walk from the jetty on Elephantine Island. The room is comfortable and comes with a shared pantry complete with fridge, kettle, cups, etc. What I like best is that my privacy is respected and there is no hard-sell of tours. Food is readily available with 3 restaurants nearby on the island. Like almost all properties I’ve stayed in, it is in the process of being expanded and some construction materials are placed along the pathway to the guesthouse. But this absolutely does not affect my stay (neither noise, dust nor security).
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The location was perfect so close to restaurants, shops and ferry. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts were so relaxed and kind. They helped us whenever we needed them, even helping us cross the river at 3am and woke up to ensure we had made it. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Aswan!
- Yi (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very clean and big , it's located in a good place ,it's beside pier , easy to visit the city and sight seeings . The yard is beside river , it's beautiful . And ,the owners are kind and polite ,they helped us a lot during our trip in ASWAN .
Anything is perfect .
Wish I can be back to Aswan and this beautiful hotel soon .
- Magdi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beverly (9/5): Fantastic place to stay to visit Aswan - The location was great and the owners very accommodating. Would stay again. Nothing to dislike
- Celia (9/5): Superb - The property is right on the Nile, a very close walk from the ferry port to Elephantine island. It is a new guest house that looks like it is still being built. The rooms are comfortable & have air conditioning which is great. The owners are lovely & extremely helpful ! The beds where a little bit firm , but this is a personal preference to what you find comfortable :)
- Tracy (9/5): For a budget place for a couple of nights , this is a great choice . I would return - The location was brilliant, looking over the Nile. Accommodation basic, clean and comfy . Host made a lovely dinner too. For the traveller on a budget , I’ve tried all sorts this place was fantastic The cockerel sings all night , but a pleasant change considering your in a city .
- Jens (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Superb - The owners were warm, accomodating and friendly.
- Radek (9/5): Superb - Peaceful location, comfortable bed, front terrace for sitting, delicious breakfast
- Ash (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic, lovely hosts and great location. Made to feel very welcome. Would recommend for sure. Everything was great.
- Bawab007 (9/5): Superb -
- Olu (10/5): Yayaa and his wife are the most friendly host/hostess. - Everything! The host and hostess went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable. They took care of arrangements for me to visit the sights. And Yayaa the host accompanied me whenever need to ensure I was at ease. He even dropped me at the river bank when I was leaving, what a great host! Nada! Zilch! Nothing to dislike
- Xingyu (10/5): Everything’s excellent and communication was smooth. -
- Efstathia (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts, the view and the food
- Hisham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jianfei (9/5): the house is located in the elephant island, you can enjoy the view by the Nile river. the owner is nice, pick us up at -
- Magdy (10/5): It was excellent in all aspects, 100% - The view, the privacy and the hospitality
- Raihan (10/5): Great stay, would recommend. - Wonderful host, great Nile-view property on Elephantine Island. Nothing
- Sleeping (10/5): Exceptional - This is the perfect spot to stay. The place was very clean and tidy. The kitchen has coffee for you. Clean bathroom and good shower. The room was big and it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Rabab took care of my mom and me as we were a family. She helped us wake up and even made us breakfast at 3 am. in the morning!. She is very kind and caring. This is the kind of place for anyone who wants to relax and feel safe and comfortable. Nothing
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is very kind and generous 😊
Also, the room was clean and arranged
, room view was pretty
very happy with the service provided during the stay
And the food delicious 😋
It's totally worth it 👌
And I recommend it
- Wael (10/5): Amazing 😍 - Everything , being in the middle of the Nile is magical. Almost nothing
- Pascal (9/5): Nice friendly place, good price/quality ratio! - The hosts, husband and wife, were super nice. They picked me up from the (very nearby) ferry landing and brought me to my room, with a terrace right on the water front. You have to see through some construction work and related objects, but price/quality wise it's very good! As a bonus, there's also coffee and thee in the room.
It was also reasonably quiet: no barking dogs or something while I was there. The mosque is next door though - even though it was only marginally louder then any other place in Aswan, since the mosques are loud and plentiful everywhere.
I left early, but they packed me a breakfast for in the car: a very nice goodbye! This is no criticism, but points to improve upon: there is a cover on the mattress, and a blanket on top, but no sheet in between. So you are sleeping directly under the blanket. From a hygienic perspective, I would prefer a sheet as well.
Also, I killed 15 or so what looked to be greenish mosquitos in the room. I didn't get them all, there were some too high up, but still I didn't get bitten. However, it would be nice if they hadn't be there in the first place. Maybe a mosquito killing lamp would help?
- Elke (9/5): Lovely lady owns the place, made a fantastic breakfast. Great view of the Nile! - Fantastic breakfast. The lady (wife of the owner) is really nice and helpful. Very clean place. Wonderful view of the Nile. Close to the ferry. When the lights are left on in the kitchen / reception area at night, they shine straight into the room through the glass above the door. It’s not a big deal but if you need a dark room to sleep at night bring an eye mask.
