Guest Reviews
- Michael (9/5): Fit for purpose for a short stay - Conveniently located and has everything you needed some nice personal touches to the room to help enhance your stay and some written local recommendations Was on the smaller side with limited places to store luggage after you unpacked. Not ideal for longer stays for this reason
- Romain (6/5): Well located room in Amsterdam - Everything was functionnal, a good bed to sleep and a backyard with tables to have breakfast. Really good location to discover Amsterdam with short time. The apartment is clean but with bare minimal equipment. Maybe add a TV also to chill out after hours of walking in Amsterdam.
- Martin (3/5): Poor -
- Kathy (10/5): Overall great place to stay - excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam but also quiet. - Great location and friendly host! We stayed in the garden room so no breakfast included, but we new that in advance and that is what we signed up for!
- Tal (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): Thank you! It was a really wonderful trip to Amsterdam - It was a great location, beautifully presented, with very clear instructions about access. Nothing- it was just what we needed
- David (8/5): Great spot in a nice quiet Amsterdam neighborhood - Low-key location along the canal Small room with few amenities
- Elizabeth (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful stay in a beautiful part of Amsterdam. - It is in a quiet and peaceful part of Amsterdam, near the canals and old houses. Access is very easy. The bed was comfortable and the shower good - 2 important aspects of holiday accommodation. Rob and Carlos were friendly and helpful, quick to message and offering to help with anything we needed. Access to the garden area is a bonus.
- Andre (7/5): Good - Very well located! Clean room and comfy bed ! Clearly the name Studio should be changed to bedroom since there is no other equipment then a bed.
- James (10/5): The Canal House is modern, comfortable and located within easy walks or tram rides of everything in Amsterdam. - The apartment is a newly renovated unit in a historic building. The renovations are high end and modern. The new kitchen and bath are high tech and function perfectly. We met one of our hosts, Carlos, and he is gracious and informative. Carlos has a leather tooling studio in the building where he teaches leather crafts and sells beautiful leather goods. Give it a try when you visit. Not applicable. We liked everything.
- Maria (8/5): Wonderful stay – especially for a solo traveler — would recommend. - Super easy check-in and check-out. Carlos was friendly and the room was cute and clean. The location is fantastic. My one grievance was that the toilet lacks privacy as there is a big gap between the top of the door and ceiling. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have a TV.
- John (6/5): Appreciate Carlos and Rob’s assistance in storing luggage and finding a taxi. - The location is quite good, a short walk to the very good tram system. Would prefer clean linens and towels daily.
- Karrie (10/5): Quaint and well designed studio with good location and great hosts. - The location and ease of entry was great. The room was throughfully furnished for a traveler, and this was perfect for one or two people. I LOVED the lit Christmas tree out my window. Unfortunately the school next door was doing some construction (temporary). The early mornings were difficult for someone with jet lag.
- Jana (9/5): Superb - Very nice and central location. Nicely furnished apartment with comfortable bed.
- Giacomo (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, clean and beautiful.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (4/5): Buyer beware. - No breakfast was provided. Beware of the veracity of the 31 photos posted of a spacious and beautifully appointed apartment. It is misleading. What you will actually receive is a small, rather pricey bedroom with outdoor access from a common hallway.
- O'leary (7/5): Good - Location was good. Needed a fridge to minimise eating out when on a tight budget.
- Karen (7/5): A quiet location yet close to all that Amsterdam offers, a little pricey for what it provides. - The managers are on site and thus always ready to greet guests and assist. This is a quiet residential area yet still close to all places of interest. This is in essence just an en suite room with separate access to a courtyard at the back of the house. Continually using photographs of the Canal House (above) rather than The Garden Room is confusing. I think it is rather over priced for what it offers.
