- Rechelle (9/5): Overall stay is excellent. - The property is clean, rooms are perfect for 2 couples. Walking distance from tube stations. The water supply in the shower is a bit weak, so it takes a a bit longer time to bathe but is still good.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent booking and the unacceptable conduct I experienced.
After making a booking, I was contacted privately and subjected to inappropriate questioning, including demands to reveal my wife's identity beyond what is reasonably required. Despite providing identification, I was pressured to remove privacy protections and show my wife's face, which is unjustified.
Furthermore, I was insulted, threatened with being reported to authorities without any valid grounds, and ultimately refused accommodation. This behavior caused significant distress to me and my wife.
I request the following:
Immediate investigation into this incident.
Full refund and appropriate compensation.
Assurance that my personal data will not be misused or shared.
Please treat this matter seriously. I am prepared to escalate this complaint to the relevant authorities if necessary.

- Aleks (1/5): - The bed is full of bugs. I think it's unnecessary for someone to check out at 3:00 PM and then have to leave at 10:00 AM. I think that's absurd. There's no need to check in at 3 pm and check out at 10 AM. I think the latest I could check out would be around 12 PM, which would be closer to Chiqui's curfew, and I wouldn't even have to change the bed sheets.

The people staying upstairs were drinking regularly, making excessive noise, shouting late into the night, and repeatedly knocking on our door for no reason. This behavior made us feel unsafe and unable to relax during our stay.
Despite raising these concerns, the owner was not helpful, understanding, or willing to take any action to improve the situation. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, which only added to our frustration. To make matters worse, when we requested a slightly late check-out, he demanded an extra £10 in cash, which felt inappropriate and unreasonable.
Because of the constant noise, lack of safety, and poor management, we did not enjoy our time at this property at all. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. For your comfort and safety, I strongly suggest avoiding this property.

The staff didn't agree to show me the room, they were just asking for cash payment aggressively in the middle of the road late night, although it was paid online. I asked booking.com platform to provide refund after this disturbing experince but they didn't. They simply replied that the property haven't replied to their request and they cannot help.

- Adebusuyi (1/5): Concerning and unprofessional practices. - The property manager requests you send photos of your ID before check-in, over WhatsApp no less, and refused to send over the pin to the property unless it was sent. First of all, it seems unprofessional and a breach of safety to conduct messaging with customers over third party apps such as WhatsApp, as opposed to the Booking.com in-app messaging system. Second of all, there seems no need to request a photo of an ID, as opposed to simply checking at the door, which is conventional with other hotels. This seems suspicious and raises serious concerns about intentions such as identity fraud, etc.,. After this brief but uncomfortable interaction over WhatsApp, I declined to respond after the individual continued to insist upon a photograph of ID, and chose not to stay at the residence, instead making a direct complaint to Booking.com.

- M (1/5): Completely and utterly awful. - Hotel Manager charged us £10 each for a “late check in” despite booking after 12. He then held the code to get into the property from me and my family getting into the hotel until we direct bank transferred him the extra money which was completely unfair, unnecessary and plain right selfish. Pictures looked nothing like the property either. Area was okay for distance to central but the area itself looked completely unsafe and ran down. By far the worst experience with a hotel, if it’s even classed as that. Management scammed us for extra money and held the code from us. He also made us send pictures of the front and back of each family members license and passport which I believe was completely unnecessary. And the fact we got scammed for extra money. If we didn’t pay, we wouldn’t get the code through WhatsApp. Disgusting.

- Anirudh (5/5): OK stay with no issues in terms of the actual property, but owner extremely annoying and juvenile - Place is fine for a night and generally OK. Room and bathroom were clean etc and no issues there. Nothing amazing, but for the price it was pretty decent compared to other places in London. Area is quite dodgy and feels quite unsafe when you are walking. I was checking in late at night and didn't feel safe having my phone out to follow the map. The reason I've rated this place lower is because of how arrogant and argumentative the owner is. I was staying after a concert and thought I might have to check in late after 12am and nowhere in the FAQs does it say that there is a charge of £10 to check in after 12. It should be clearly written. Had i known this, I would have booked somewhere else. There was literally no reason for the charge apart from if you needed the help of the "staff" whose "hours ended at 12am", which was literally just the owner on WhatsApp.
The owner would not give me the pins to enter the property until the last minute without forcibly paying £10 for late check in. If I needed their help after 12, then i would have paid the £10, but you can't withhold the entry info and not let me try myself first! I really didn't like this and found it very manipulative, considering I had already paid in full and it was non-refundable. I might have been able to enter on my own! I managed to get there before 12 and check in but there was an issue with the door so I messaged for help. Then after 12am, despite the owner saying his "staff ended their shift at 12am" (his staff being just him), he started arguing again on WhatsApp with me saying "see, you needed my help, that's why we charge the £10."
At this point, I was exhausted and just so over the childish situation where this adult man could clearly just not get over it, despite me explaining it should be in the FAQs so the customer is informed. Like what if their flight is late etc? Just because of how argumentative and childish he was, I would not stay here again.

- James (1/5): Shocked at the depravity and sheer heartlessness of truly evil people - I enjoyed the fact I did not fall for the attempt by the owner to scam me out of money demanding additional funds by unsecured bank transfer.
Conveniently took conversation outside the app away from booking.com’s view to demand an ever increasing sum of money - taking full advantage by extortion, capitalising vulnerable people as a money making scheme. Beware this is against booking.com conditions and they have been reported. If you’re asked outside the app and demanded money via bank transfer - this is a big red flag - report to booking.com - i was stuck in London returning from a funeral, which they were aware of - sick crooks, beware Finding out quickly that this price was too good to be true and conversation quickly came to get access to the property go there in the middle of the night take a video call to a random number after bank transferring money to a random account without protection - quickly dawned on me that I was not safe in doing this, in response have been denied a refund. Currently taking legal action - this is against the law.

Everything was very poor from the customer service to the condition of our room. Extremely disappointed! The bed sheets were visibly very dirty and had clearly not been changed, same with the duvet and pillow sheets. The room had a bad smell to it too, which made it very unbearable being in there. The front door of the flat was also left open on arrival by the cleaner probably to get rid of the bad smell, making it feel very unsafe, as any stranger could’ve walked in.

They said their check-out time is 10pm but I see from booking.com that our check-out time is 12pm. A guy named Javed, their staff, scammed me and took ten pounds from me, saying he would file a front case against me.I attached 10£ bank receipts I always book through your booking.com but this is the first time such an incident has happened to me. I hope I will get the right solution for this.

I booked 2 rooms on the arrival I couldn't get the address for whcih the owner on the phone told me to pay 10£ more pounds for any more info! Just imagine I already paid for the rooms and I needed to pay more to find the property and rooms! It's just ridiculous! And it's too complicated on the property too much passwords to enter the property. There's no any person to help you. When you call the owner to which he dictates you what he wants to say and he doesn't even listen to your request or if you make any complain. Inside of the property just one towel for two person. What is written on the web and the pictures doesn't much the reality! The beds are very old. It's a wste of time and wate of money!!! Everything. Just Everything!

The owner has a unfriendly feel to him. Just the way he communicates.
The rooms are definitely not soundproof and you'll hear everything in the other rooms
The house is made for a poor family. It been transformed into this with these prices is morally questionable at best. The building, the neighbourhood, even the front door all feel very sketchy and I can imagine that you won't feel safe here. Even though you most likely will be fine
Morally I wouldn't go here and for your wallet I can just tell you to search a little more for a better place

- Jasmine (7/5): Not your usual Inn but as good - This place isn’t your typical Inn or B&B—it’s actually a council flat converted into an Inn. Initially, we were a bit confused when we arrived, but our stay turned out to be great. The property was clean, cozy, and had all the essentials (and more) we could ask for. It’s also within walking distance of Tower Bridge, about a 30-minute walk. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would definitely return. Cutlery - it would’ve been great if they provided more cutlery e.g fork and knife
