- Rupert (9/5): - Great location, very comfortable & clean and v good value
- David (8/5): -
- Else Odekerken-Snel (9/5): -
- Petrus (9/5): Cosy studio - Cosy studio with off street parking
Good for our one night stay Mini fridge didn’t seem to keep items cold
Difficulty opening the door with the keypad even with clear instructions
- celia (10/5): Perfect first night - Great location. We wanted to explore Howth the next day so this was perfect. But also close to Dublin. Great restaurant just a short walk away - the bay. Had a parking spot which was great.
- Carroll (10/5): -
- Tom (9/5): Very good communication. Great location for my needs - From booking time the hosts were excellent to communicate and stay connected. Worth considering. Location was perfect for my needs. No issues
- Peter (10/5): Wonderful spot close to the sea in a quiet location. - Just nicely done. Everything we needed. Nothing
- Giulia (8/5): - Very comfy, clean and functional
- Bioloar (10/5): -
- Cristiano (10/5): -
- Andrii (10/5): Good location, all amenities. If we are in Dublin again, we will stay here again. - Good location with parking space . The room is nicely furnished, with everything you need. Microwave, sink with drinking water, electric kettle, micro-fridge, dishes. The bathroom also has everything you need for personal hygiene. The floor in the bathroom was very cold, we didn't bring slippers so it was very cold to walk there.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Valeria (10/5): - Everything was amazing!!! Just the kitchen because it wass too small (the fridge above all) but they told us about this before our arrival!
- Crowther (9/5): Great location and area - Great location and local amenities. Comfy, cosy and self-contained. Washing up crockery was a little awkward. Shower a little gentle.
- Mykola (10/5): -
- Len (10/5): Great location, comfortable and great value - Lovely private room that overlooks the garden and has its own private entrance. Good access to city centre Via 130 bus or €18 approximately Taxi ride. Great walks in the area. Nothing.
- Kathryn (8/5): - Great position on the waterfront. Still quiet as a back of main house.
Clean. Everything we needed.
- kerry (9/5): - Well equipped studio
Very responsive host Difficult driveway if you have a car
- hayley (10/5): - Thank you for being so accommodating. Fantastic place & had everything you could think of. Thank you.
- Claire (10/5): - The house is situated in a beautiful place, across the road from the sea.
Everything was carefully considered for a comfortable stay.
We would highly recommend.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
- Margaret (7/5): - Location, parking, clear instructions for check in, information about local restaurants, transport etc from host, coffee machine provided, nicely decorated and although space was small it was comfortable for a short stay. Very small fridge which wasn’t cold (and temperature couldn’t be adjusted).
- Don Paulito (9/5): One night in Clontarf - comfortable and well located as far as we were concerned 0
- Seamus (10/5): - Very close to city. Yet completely quiet at night.
- Leigh-Anne (8/5): Fantastic, peaceful and relaxing. - Beautiful garden Water pressure in shower was low
- Mayu (6/5): -
- Philip (10/5): -
- Laetitia (8/5): - I stayed there for business. The room was very well appointed. very comfortable and clean. The tea/coffee making facilities, small fridge and microwave were great additions. Also the room was warm on arrival, that was much appreciated.
- andrew (5/5): Excellent place for students or those on a tight budget. - Good bed. Good printed information on the apartment facilities Good shower Good heating The "kitchenette facilities are tiny.the smallest fridge ever, the microwave is so low to the ground it's hard to see the buttons with progressive lenses, the kitchen sink is from a bathroom and no tea towels were provided. Two large chairs but no real place to sit to eat except the bed we did move the chairs into the little alcove room
- ujtimi79 (10/5): - Very nice and well equipped studio with all needed facibilities available. Host was really helpful and kind. ☺️ Cannot mention a thing. ☺️
- Alexander (7/5): Nice for max. 2 day stay - The location is superb. Near the bus to the city (40 min) and a nice Beach Walk in front of the house. Also a big park nearby.
We didn't see the owner, only digital contact and they reacted fast on messages, parking lot, extra coffee pads. But a short hi, how are you is appreciated. The room is too small for a long stay ( >2days). No cooking facilities, no relax corner. It is bed & breakfast. Nothing more (without breakfast, you have to bring your own).
- Colleen (10/5): Great area, amazing host. - I wish every property was as well-organized as this place! It had everything we needed and had a great notebook that thoroughly explained how to use everything. Which I stayed here longer! We also went to a restaurant that was recommended by the host and we loved it. The host provided so much information about the local area, it was just great.
- Balazs (10/5): - Very caring and attentive hosts with an exceptional eye for details who filled up the little unit with everything you may need. They shared a lot of useful info before our arrival and in the booklet inside.
Exceptional cleanliness.
Beatiful location on the coast in an elegant neighborhood and a nice back garden.
Free parking, yet close to the city centre with a bus that runs frequently and stops nearby. The shower was a bit uncomfortable with the temperature of the water changing from cold to hot randomly and frequently.
- Mascia (9/5): Posto molto carino !!!
- Bruce (7/5): Quiet spot on the waterfront with bus service straight into Dublin Centre. - The location was very good with a bus running into Dublin Centre right outside the door. Bus stop 300m down.
We felt secure with a locked gate at the entrance to the back of the house where the apartment is located.
Booklet of instructions on how to use shower, TV etc was well set out.
Karina was prompt in her replies to any query. The shower wasn't easy to sort even with the instructions. It was fine once we got used to it.
- Arie Maarten (7/5): -
- philippe (7/5): -
- Patrick (8/5): - Good communication with host. Small room at the back of a larger house. Location was in an outer suburb. Adequate for one night as we were dropping our car off at the airport in the morning. Off-street parking for a small car. Sounds and talking could be heard through the walls from the main house at times.
- James (9/5): -
- Donna (8/5): Peaceful, private location! - Quiet, private clean studio with a small kitchenette. Everything needed for a quick overnight stay before catching a Ferry (15 minute drive). Bay Restaurant had great food! Having an outdoor space was lovely! The shower alternated between scorching and freezing. We could not sort it. This needs to be addressed. We know how to use it. My husband is a Plumber.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Bogusław (10/5): Potrzebowałem właśnie takiego czegoś. - Cisza i wszystko czego potrzebowałem. Bogato wyposażony.
- Arianna (8/5): - Stanza e bagni carini e puliti.
Zona tranquilla.
- William (9/5): Pleasant seaside spot - Good location for a seaside break from the city. Comfortable room, good communication with host. Bull Island Nature Reserve and St Anne's Park within walking distance - each is worth spending time in. Three excellent restaurants in walking distance: Bay (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Yang's Chinese (dinner), Olive's Room (breakfast and lunch). It is a residential neighborhood, so not many shops, restaurants, or pubs in walking distance. (We did not have a car, but easy to get a taxi via app.)
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely relaxing long weekend. - Lovely clean studio apartment, well equipped with everything that you need for your stay, from tea & coffee to toiletries. Lovely restaurants on your doorstep
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Brendaheld (9/5): Superb - Very cute! Could not lock the patio door. It was ok because there was a lock in the outer most door.
- Marie (8/5): Private, quiet, comfortable and good location - We liked the private entrance and it was a quiet location. Easy to get bus into the city for sightseeing, and nice to be near the water. Not really a complaint, but the mini fridge was tiny. Would prefer a slightly bigger one, as we do travel with some food items when doing road trips.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect.
Can't understand any of the negative comments that I read on previous reviews.
Lots of good places to eat nearby.
The Bay was excellent. Fantastic bus service into city centre. €2 per journey.
Free parking at the property but plenty of free parking on the road nearby too. Nothing
- Laura (9/5): Convenient for a nights stay in the area - Clean and comfy with helpful bits in the room.
Such a handy location for nearby gig in St Anne’s park.
Check in and out was easy.
- Nigel (10/5): What's not to like? - Location, comfort, information, communication.
The info pack was invaluable, even to a seasoned visitor to Dublin.
The property is very handy for the bus into Dublin centre, bus stop 100 meters from the front door.
Facilities in the room were top notch Nothing to dislike, unless you don't like a great night's sleep!
- Lars (9/5): Superb - Nice little studio with garden view, great for short stay of single traveller for longer or for 2 it may be a bit small
- Margo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Limited (7/5): Good -
- Sally (9/5): Nice studio in lovely location - Lovely location. Handy to walking path and nice coffee shops and cafes. Neat and tidy with everything provided. Great food supermarket nearby for supplies. Easy access through coded door. Very private. Parking is a little tight, shower was difficult to sort out with little water pressure, and the tiny fridge is not usable and doesn’t keep anything really cold.
- Marion (8/5): Lovely quiet room in great Dublin location. - Lovely position in Clontarf. Very quiet. Great bathroom. Comfy bed and tea and coffee all available.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Judith (7/5): Good - Location was great for walks accessible to restaurant and to the ferry.
- Ewa (8/5): Very good - Very cozy place with amazing equipment - you’ll find there everything you need! TV with many apps you can use, hairdresser, iron, coffee machine, mini fridge with milk for the coffee 🥰 microwave, literally everything you might need is there!
The location is so lovely, very close to the bus station. Very easy check-in, we received clear instructions from the host. I would rate this place with 10* if it wasn’t for the bathroom. We had some serious troubles with the shower - the water pressure was low, but the biggest problem was the temperature. Despite trying in 100 configurations, we couldn’t get anything else than very cold or very hot water. It has to be fixed.
Also, I’d recommend washing the towels in much higher temperatures, as they start to smell after one use…
- Nahuel (8/5): Very good - Super warm and handyq
- Nenad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melody (7/5): Pleasant stay apart from shower. - Very nice studio with the exception of the shower, which alternated between boiling hot and cold and had little power. Disappointing when everything else was comfortable and attractive.
- Anita (7/5): Pretty studio in a good location - perfect location for our purpose. Great opportunities for walking around St Anne's park and Bull Island nature reserve.
Property was clean and there was a lovely view of the garden.
Bed was comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The temperature of the shower was very unpredictable and did not seem to respond to the controls.
We never managed to lock the door to the studio. While the garden was secure and there was limited opportunity for theft I would have preferred to have been able to lock the door to our studio. There was also a safe but it was locked and we could not find instructions for how to open it.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- 2 (8/5): Very good -
- Jin (5/5): Just so so - There is a good coffee machine, and we can make coffee, hot chocolate. The garden is pleasant. The photoes in booking are confusing. I thought it was the whole house, but actually it was a seperate small house behind the house(picture 1). The kettle was dirty(picture 4) so I have to clean it before I enjoy coffee. There are only houses and the sea in neighborhood, no other sceneries to visit. I have to walk for a while to buy food from the supermarket or have meal in restaurants. So it’s not so convenient.
- Michele (7/5): Adequate. - It is very private - the apartment is separate from the main house, with its own entrance. It’s clean and is close to the bus stop which has a regular service (approx every 12 mins) into town. The area feels safe and the views along the front on a sunny morning are beautiful. The road outside is noisy and busy but you can’t hear it from the flat, which is at the back of the house looking onto the garden. It was very cold. The central heating wasn’t on and the plug in heater didn’t warm the room sufficiently. I had to put my coat on the bed. The bathroom was icy in the morning, so I didn’t shower. In fact although I’d booked in for two nights, I stayed somewhere else for the second as it was too cold for me. There was no milk in the fridge and seemingly nowhere close by to buy some, so tea was made without. The only thing in the fridge was an empty plastic container - presumably from a previous guest. I couldn’t fathom how to get Netflix - it kept asking for a password, and the remote controls were low on batteries. While I felt that (heating aside) the apartment was entirely adequate for people wanting to be in the locale, a fully functioning TV and a jug of milk would have made a big difference for this tired traveller. It just lacked that special touch.
- Philip (5/5): Passable -
- O (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, comfortable, and all amenities supplied. Everything was perfect!
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable stay and good value for money - Very good communications with owner.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Declan (6/5): Excellent studio and location. Pity about the heating and communication. - Great location. Well equipped and comfortable studio. Very quiet. Free parking. The heating radiators were not working, and I was not informed about the replacement electric heating until after my arrival when I contacted the host to query the issue. With the heating working properly, the studio would have been very good.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Gerald (9/5): Superb -
- Angelina (8/5): Great spot to rest up from our long drive in & before our long flight home. Convenient location & great to have - Convenient location with parking. A work space and ensuite. comfortable, easy check in, nicely appointed, near public transport & airport.
- Poole (3/5): I would not recommend this place I don't know how it passed as an Airbnb - No breakfast The rickety furniture height of cupboard was for tall people, the bathroom was leaking really badly
- Steven (10/5): Waterside location - Great views
- Vivien (9/5): Convenient and charming - Excellent location for ferry port - 20-minute drive. Spacious, with areas to sit outside and inside. Well supplied with tea, coffee, and milk as well as a mini fridge, bowls, plates, and cutlery so you can make yourself a decent snack or breakfast. Easy access and a lovely location opposite Bull Island and the estuary. We would also highly recommend the nearby Bay restaurant for excellent delicious, healthy, and well priced food.
- Anne (7/5): Good - Good location. Quiet round the back of the building. Very cramped; tired and in need of a refurbish.
- Finola (8/5): Very good - The ease of use... we arrived and let ourselves in ...had a lovely cup of tea .Facilities were perfect. Nothing really.
- Luca (8/5): Very good -
- Isabel (8/5): Excellent quiet location with comfy bed and good facilities - Very good location on outskirts of Dublin and handy for the ferry and a trip to Howth.. Too many cushions on the bed which were a nuisance in limited space.. The fridge was close to bed so a bit noisy but otherwise the property was very quiet.
- Terra (8/5): Very good - Nice that we could check in earlier. The location was great, with a busstop very nearby so you can easily visit the city!
- Donal (10/5): Wonderful accommodation at reasonable price - Private, no contact at all needed to gain entry and no one bothered us there either. Wonderful stay. Parking is tight
- Stephen (9/5): A well located studio close to public transport but in a quiet setting and with use of an attractive rear garden. - Attractive but compact studio. Well fitted and well managed and maintained No cooking facilities but we didn’t need them as cafe/ coffee waggon close by.
