Guest Reviews
- Teo (8/5): -
- Cathy (6/5): Comfortable - Size and location pool and rooftop Only one key
Only 1 towel each
Goods stored in wardrobe was untidy
- Mark (10/5): Absolutely fantastic apartment well located in a beautiful city - Location was perfect
Apartment was very clean
Nice touch of tea coffee there plus a lot of other toiletries
Was pretty much perfect Nothing
- Bronwyn (6/5): Disappointed in many aspects. - Quite location., sunny balcony for breakfast. Was an absolute mission to obtain instructions to locate keys in locked box. Only 1 key and 1 garage remote provided for 4 adults/1 child, chipped coffee cups, bed sheets not matching, no power points in 2nd bedroom, no additional blankets or pillows.
- Jane (7/5): - Location was good; communication with host was good. Beds very comfortable. It was stressful trying to find a park near the building to then go and look for a random lock box across the road to access the key. The reception didn't know where it was so had to reconnect with host who was very helpful but not always there to take the call.
The apartment was very small. Certainly enough beds but no where to store luggage. Lounge was very small - could only fit 2 people comfortably- our 3rd had to use a dining chair. The curtains were goid black out curtains but a few of the hooks had fallen out of their loops giving the rooms a dishevelled appearance. The toilets flushing mechanism was very slow and not always able to achieve result in one flush.
- Eden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional - The location for us was fantastic close to what we were doing.
- Benjamin (6/5): "The room was double booked after you made a change. Can you please cancel your booking" - Location & instructions were clear. Room was clean. Room was double booked. I had to make a last minute adjustment due to medical issues (family member had a fall and broke her ribs 1 week prior to the booking). The owner messaged my phone asking me to cancel my booking. I explained the situation (wedding, broken ribs etc), and the owner made arrangements for the other party. But to ask someone to cancel their 5 month old booking because of an error on their end is horrendous.
- Chrissi (8/5): Perfect location, very clean and facilities were awesome -
- Nic (7/5): Nice, but won’t stay again - The pool and the view was great. Did arrange to get in a bit earlier than the stated time. Sauna was amazing, really refreshing. If you arrive early you CAN NOT leave your luggage with the receptionist and you then have to walk down a hill and 2 blocks to a bag minding service which looks very unreliable and is expensive… this is so difficult with children. Also couldn’t access the kids area which was stated as being part of the complex.
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Short walk to South Bank, great pool area. Lovely location.
- Alison (8/5): We had a terrific time with Homestayz and we would holiday again with them. - The lights at night.
The property was secure and safe. The price per night was a bit steep.
We were all jammed in together.
- Kerrie (1/5): BEWARE DO NOT BOOK HERE IT IS NOT LUXURY AS ADVERTISED - Absolutely NOTHING!!!!! BEWARE -There was nothing good to review on this property. This is being advertised as luxury and it is far from that. Air Conditioning does not work and was not rectified from previous booking. Power point in kitchen kept tripping power another hazard that property managers were aware of. Floor boards were lifting throughout unit. Was sent other peoples booking details. Denied refund as property managers are advising I did not make them aware of these issues during my stay, which they were well aware of!!!. The 2 day stay was extremely uncomfortable with no efficient air conditioning. The property manager offered a refund and then revoked when I denied and asked for a nights compensation as I believed this to be a fair outcome considering my stay was compromised. This property has been reported to consumer law and booking.com so they are aware of this propertys misleading advertisements. After 2 formal requests for 1 nights compensation, I am still being denied any sort of compensation.
- Nykia (8/5): Very good - Everything apart from air-conditioning was perfect! Aircon was broken so we were sweating and struggled to sleep.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (7/5): Good - Top sheets on the single beds would be helpful.
- Seden (7/5): Good -
- Danielle (9/5): Over all comfortable - Great location . Easy communication and collection of key. As we were travelling with a family of 5 2 fobs would have been useful at times .
Maybe investing in proper hand towels would be good as tea towels looked pretty tacky in the bathrooms .
Maybe less personal items left in wardrobes so suit case could be kept out of the way and off the floor
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good - Great location, easy parking. No shelves in the bathroom to put anything.
- Mcgillivray (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness and stuff to use ( extra blankets, soap, shampoo toilet rolls etc) Only 1 key especially if one of us wanted to use the pool area. Or go out for lunch or dinner The other people staying had to go too or get stuck in the room
Not hosted by the hotel was annoying for the check in and checkout process and it would have been hard to get something fixed if there was a problem (eg if you were locked out of your room)
- Liz (7/5): Pleasant - View and liked the building and facilities No wifi
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - location The process of collecting the keys was abit tricky when you dont know the location
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good -
- Angel (1/5): Bad -
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Philippa (9/5): Superb -
- Jeshirra (8/5): it was alright, check-in was quiet a hassle and they misunderstood our check out day - it looked nice no extra blankets for the sofa bed, no extra towel, found a blanket but had two stains on them, you can tell that it wasnt cleaned
- Tracy (7/5): Great Location for QPAC and Southbank and beautiful views from rooftop at night. and night-time views - Views, location, car parking included, pools. Nothing little “extra” comfort supplies provided e.g. No milk at all, no extra pillows, no top sheet on beds.
Also I booked for 5 people, but only 4 towels were provided, no bedding for the 5th person on the futon lounge (not a sofa bed).
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Baynes (5/5): We enjoyed our stay although the traffic noise was very loud with the doors open! - Would have loved a dish cloth!
Hand towels in the bathrooms would be appreciated. Also the towels were very thin and fraying at the edges!
- Danielle (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (7/5): Wonderful trip to watch fifa women’s World Cup. Brisbane was great - Location Difficult to find it and lock box for key. Rang owner on arrival but no response when we couldn’t locate it at night.
- Nadia (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Kerri (8/5): Very good -
- Kay (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - Clean apartment, plenty of supplies (toilet paper, cleaning products, dish washing liquid etc.)
Good communication and clear check in instructions Only 1 key made it hard when there are 5 of us but we made it work.
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (8/5): Great apartment. Wonderful swimming pools - Great location for our conference at the conference centre.
We had a lot of trouble locating the keys - it was confusing as we didnt realise there were several photos of where the key was, as the app only showed us one photo. I think the description of where the keys were should be typed out rather than relying on many pages of photos.
Apartment was great - however there were 5 of us and there were only 3 coffee mugs (yet 6 wine glasses and 6 champagne glasses!).
Overall the apartment was clean apart from the ensuite which had lots of long dark hairs all over the floor, on the bathmat and in the shower base plus a dirty towel left on the back of the ensuite door. Obviously the cleaner had forgotten to clean the ensuite.
We would definitely stay again as it was a great apartment except for the coffee cups/ensuite issue. Only 3 coffee cups for 5 of us.
Oh and the coffee cups had no handles so it was very difficult to drink hot liquids from the cups as they were too hot to touch!
Cleaner had missed the ensuite
- Patrick (5/5): Passable - Location and facilities were great Cleanliness was terrible. Sheets not cleaned. Horizontal surfaces wiped with a dirty cloth. Dust behind doors, windowsills and skirting boards. Mirrors, appliances, shower screens and windows filthy. Rubbish bins not lined. No hand towels in bathrooms.
- Lien (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ana (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (4/5): Disappointing - the building was nice and in a good location The apartment front door was damaged, the deadlock had been removed, and the door could be pushed open / was not secure, held together with tape and bolts.
There was plastic wrap over the smoke / fire alarm.
The bathrooms were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned with stains on the floors and rolls of toilet paper everywhere.
The linens were all odd and creased.
- Ralf (6/5): Pleasant - Location Not clean
- Ann (1/5): Filthy, dirty apartment - We had arrived in Brisbane to celebrate our daughter's wedding. On arrival to the apartment we discovered that the front door is not secure - the lock has been damaged (it looks like the door
has been kicked in at some point, the wood is splintered and the
deadbolt is totally missing, leaving a large peephole opening into the
apartment)- it has been fixed temporarily but it would be very possible to open the locked door with just a hard push as the lock is not solid within the doorframe. We were so worried about leaving our belongings in the apartment when we are not there because it is not able to be properly secured. We also had to plug up the peephole with tissue to stop people looking through the door.
On walking into the apartment we could plainly see how filthy and grimy it was, and the dirt was everywhere! All along the skirting boards was a thick layer of dust and also along on the top of the bedheads. The floors are
dirty, the glasses have visible lip marks on the rim and there is food
caked inside of the sink and through the cutlery drawer. The floors clearly haven't been vacuumed and left black on the bottom of our feet!
There was a pile of wet towels sitting on the balcony. As well as cigarette ash everywhere including the last renter's lighter. Disgusting as we wanted a nonsmoking apartment.
We also discovered 2 wet bathmats in the bathroom which we had to wash ourselves and put in the drier so that we could shower without using a soiled bath mat from the previous renter's.
The lamp in the main bedroom was broken and there is paint missing
from the top of the bedroom door.
We spent a couple of hours trying to clean this apartment to make it a bit decent for our stay. We were in tears at the disappointing start to what should gave been a joyous and exciting arrival to our accommodations.
I immediately emailed the owner re the condition and security of the front door and his response was that he thought it was secure.
- Holli (7/5): Good -
- Wilkie (5/5): Passable -
- Megane (1/5): Really bad trip - The place was so dirty. We have to do the cleaning. There were clothes everywhere. We have to clean the bathroom with hair removal. We contacted the host to do some cleaning, the cleaners Nevers came. I am pregnant with a 3 years old kid ! There we dust everywhere..... the lampsheld was broken... the first time i am so disappointed on booking.
