- Marg (10/5): Really loved it ! some friendly staff and the hotel in a great location - Amazing building except fit the 57 steps up to my room lol a lift is coming soon ! N/A
- Lina (10/5): - Propreté, emplacement parfait Chambre dans un autre bâtiment
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely Florence stop - Check in was easy with nice welcoming staff. The room was size was adequate for 4 adults. The small balcony was nice. Room is tastefully decorated. Bath was modern and good shower pressure.
Great convenient location. Walked everywhere from here. Reception held bags till our departure.
Loved my stay. This room was on the top floor so it's a hike to the top. We had 4 heavy suitcases which weren't easy to get up these stairs. It did say there was no lift but didn't realise there were 5 flights of stairs. Hotel staff did help but we struggled a bit.
Shower space was tight.
- Marianne (9/5): Great - use the Hotel Roma Address - google maps incorrect - The staff was really helpful and attentive! The concierge staff were particularly exceptional and welcoming. Rooms were very clean and modern. Staying at the apartment section is an affordable way to get access to 4 star hotel service and facilities at a 3 star rate if you don't mind stairs. Breakfast was great and convenient. There is a laundry mat wash and dry across the street. Very convenient to be able to do laundry half way through our trip! Very well located, walking distance to everything. The address listing on the booking.com is incorrect and also incorrectly referenced in google maps. Use the Hotel Roma address: Piazza Santa Maria Novella, 8. Check in at the Hotel Roma Lobby. The apartment section has no elevator. Be prepared to climb stairs. Thankfully the porter helped us carry our luggage up and down.
- Shelley (9/5): We had a superb two days here and the breakfasts were superb - It was do central and do so close to the station. The 3 flights of stairs in poor lighting, but our porter carried our bags for us!
- Karen (9/5): Wonderful, very central. The climb up 100+ stairs is worth it for the room and view. - A truly wonderful place to stay. Lovely spacious room. Be aware however there are approximately 100 steps up to the room. We didn't mind the stairs, added to the magic of Firenze. You will need to be fit though. Porter helped us with our bags when we arrived, that was very helpful.
- Jimmy (7/5): Excellent location and comfortable room. Lovely staff but be ready for a lot of steps. - The breakfast was good, standard continental breakfast, however it did include various types of cheese. The staff were very friendly and helpful in the main hotel lobby. The room was great, especially with our own balcony, the views were lovely. You need to be ready to walk up 5 flights of stairs every time you go out, it does get tiring especially after a day of touring. The Internet was rather slow in the room with frequent drop out.
- Morgan (8/5): Great location - Clean, stylish room, quiet hallway and noisy street was nice to sleep to
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Manfredi (8/5): Very good -
- Droguett (8/5): It was good as we had a great location. - The room was great but being in a fifth floor and no lift it made it hard to move up and down. No lift
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hamlet (8/5): Nice - Cleanness,
Location,
The staff,
Room,
Amazing breakfast Bed - opened sofa
Missing slippers and after requesting also missing
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - Really modern room, all appliances were working. Plenty of stairs to get up to the room but the staff helped us get our bags up and were proactive in offering assistance on check out. Room was a bit small but as advertised, and was a reasonable price for Florence.
- Loop (8/5): Loved our stay in Florence! Beautiful apartment and even more beautiful city! - Modern The 97 steps to get up
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): great locationspoiled by having to climb 5 floors to room, - The staff was very good helped to carry luggage to 5th floor. Location was excellent. Not notified what floor the room was on. Having to climb % floors to get to the room. there was no elevator.
- Ponchis (7/5): Not coming back to Italy!! - The breakfast like all the European breakfast are, complete, but it was the same of the same I all the areas!! The people are so rude!! One thing si been rough culture, but rudeness was the basic thing, none knows anything!! Their answer is no lo so, meaning I don’t know!!
- Nima (2/5): Not worth it - + huge bathroom and shower
+ very good location - im not a picky person really but the day we arrived at florance it was pouring rain , and the location the put in booking was wrong so we stand 1 hour in the rain and nobody answering us!!!! I found the hotel my self and when i told the reception all they answered was " I didn't check the mails"
The room i got was in the building near the hotel on the 4th floor without elevator with a smelly and dingy hallway!!
The room was fine bathroom was ok
But the bed was terrible and dirty!!
Not worth the try and not worth the price
All im saying ...
- Martin (6/5): Be sure to inquire about whether you are in a section of the hotel with and elevation bank - The rooms were decent and clean. The staff was excellent. We were booked into a section of the hotel around the corner from the main building. It was a fifth floor walk up; no elevator; up a dingy stairwell. A porter helped us with our bags but we were surprised about the nature of the reservation.
- Maria (10/5): Fabulous apartment! ❤️ - Beautifull 2 bedroom apartament, with a spectacular view over the rooftops and top of the Basilica Santa Maria del Fiore.❤️...Very clean, good breakfast, very kind staff and most important 4 min walk to the city center (Basilica Santa Maria del Fiore). No elevator in the building ,but the view worth's the effort . Kinda like stairways to heaven.😀
- Orlando (9/5): Great place to stay in Florence - Hotel Roma is a beautiful, well-maintained facility in the heart of Florence. It is surrounded by so much history, architecture and wonderful restaurants! It is only a short walk from the main train station and all of the major sites are within walking distance. Our modern, updated room was in a historic building so you get the best of both worlds. We very much enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was ok, but could have been much better.
- Ben (8/5): Perfect location and a good price for Florence - Location Tv didn’t work
- Yuzhu (8/5): Although had to climb 5 stories, it worth to get the view from windows - Location is really good. Close to everywhere Have to climb without elevator
- Thora (10/5): Was great! Would stay again! Make sure to got to the roof top at the beginning of the trip!! An amazing view!! - Nice, updated room. Great finishes, staff very super friendly, knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast buffet was amazing! No elevator, but hotel staff was eager to help take up luggage & bring down for check out!
No English tv available.
- David (2/5): Overpriced and poor facilities - Decent location Rude staff at check in; our rooms were off site, a 3rd and 5th floor walk up a very smelly, dank, and dark staircase. Very overpriced for the rooms provided. The “balcony view” was inferior. The advertised fitness center was small and difficult to access from our rooms.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vira (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (5/5): Passable -
- Lara (8/5): Great location and good value for money. - I liked that it was in a historical building as it gives the feeling of being a local. Location was great, right in the middle of everything, so easy to get around. Hotel staff is super helpful, carrying the luggage up and down the 3 floors - arrived very fast when called for help with check out. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Even though it is mentioned, the lack of lift can be disappointing when arriving late in the night after a long day, but manageable.
- Jeanie (10/5): Exceptional - Good air cond The staff was great. We asked for luggage assistance for the 3 flights of stairs.
- Jodie (8/5): Great location - Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Sausages and eggs were cold and only a few slices of bread left even though we were there at 9.30 Stairs!!!
The balcony was lovely although missing somewhere to sit and enjoy it.
Lack of glass wear or bottle opener in room.
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Asaad (8/5): Great location, modern rooms, friendly staff. - The room is very clean and modern with nice private bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the central train station is 10 minutes walking. You have to go up 2-3 floors to reach the rooms which could be very difficult if you have large luggage but there are staff to help with the luggage.
- Clara (7/5): It was ok - As seniors we were most distressed to clim the stairs to level 3 ,fortunately we dint have to take our luggage up or down as the porters did it for us.
- Lee (10/5): Romantic and delightful - View amazing, staff amazing, high quality breakfast and they stowed our luggage while we toured. Right on a very romantic plaza with lots to see Our apartment was on fifth floor so lots of steps which were challenging with a heavy pack but made for amazing view
- Minglei (10/5): Exceptional - Hundreds of metres to the railway station, Good location, Good Room, Good Bed, Good breakfast.
You can get to everywhere on foot.
- Ginny (8/5): Great location and excellent breakfast and staff at Hotel Roma - Location and the space were excellent. The wooden shutters couldn’t be opened and it felt claustrophobic during daylight. I missed not being able to see out into the street below.
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and well located apartment with beautiful view
- Marisa (10/5): Large beautiful apartment with fantastic view - Beautiful apartment, amazing views -
- Donee (10/5): Lovely room with an outstanding view. - The room was beautiful. We had a pull out sofa in one room and two twins in the other. Much larger than anticipated. The view of Florence, including the Duomo, was amazing. As advertised, the room is in a historic building without a lift. The rooms are located on the 3rd and 5th floors. (4th and 6th in America). This worked fine for our group, but is important to be aware of.
- Rosemarie (8/5): Very good - Nicely appointed, centrally located. Leaky shower door, and a 3 floor climb to get to the room
- Matthew (10/5): Beautifully renovated apartment in excellent location however the stairs up were a problem - The apartment was excellently located within walking distance to train station.
Beautifully renovated apartment with excellent amenities.
Staff at Hotel Roma were very accommodating and helpful, especially carrying our luggage up. The apartment was on the second floor with no lift. As we were travelling with elderly, this was a little difficult.
We booked two rooms and one room had a sofa bed as the main bed which was uncomfortable. However only there one night so manageable
- Regina (10/5): Comfortable, practical and amazing place near the most touristic spots in Florence. - It was in a great location! Super nice room and bathroom, felt very safe and comfortable. Very clean and felt just like being in a hotel. I would have liked for body lotion to be included
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
- Vilma (9/5): Beautiful room, good breakfast and the perfect location. - The room was gorgeous and the location was perfect, in the city centre but still safe and quiet. The room wasn't located in the Hotel but in the same building with a private entrance. Not necessarily a bad thing but good to know when booking.
- Annalisa (9/5): Superb -
- Jared (10/5): Loved! Perfect location for exploring Florence on foot. The room was amazing and so were the views! -
- Marco (8/5): Very good - Room spotless clean, bed super comfortable. Large bathroom and shower. The room is a bit tiny for this price. Location is good in terms of being close to everything but bear in mind that the street below is a bit noisy with cars and people.
- Julie (9/5): Great place to stay if you don’t have to climb up 5 stories to your room - the room size, the staff, the breakfast, mini bar fridge, toiletries and beds ! I was not told ahead of time that my room was on the 5th floor with no lift. may want to disclose that when offering a reservation.
- Sarah (10/5): Luxurious, clean, modern rooms up a huge staircase but with access to main hotel amenities! - These rooms are around the corner from the owners, Hotel Roma, and you have access to all their facilities including free breakfast and gym access. The front desk is so lovely. There are a LOT of stairs leading to the room - no escalator, but the hotel provides a porter to assist you with your baggage. Also has very effective air-con! The rooms are luxurious. They are modern, clean and spacious and perfect after a long day sightseeing. Location is very central. It’s perfect for us - can’t quite afford a 4-star hotel so this is the perfect compromise! Lots of stairs to the property, which are hard after a long day climbing the city! But well worth it.
- Dor (9/5): Superb -
- Juan (1/5): Bad - Location The ad says piso superior to let you think it's the upper floor in a two story building but it's a 5 stories staiirs you have to climb with your luggage and no help. The stair is narrow and dark there are no lights in a couole of floors. AN ITALIAN SCAM IS HR BEDROOMS .
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (9/5): Comfortable, clean, excellent location - The staff was so nice and accommodating. I didn’t realize when I booked the room that there wasn’t elevator access and we were on the fifth floor. That wasn’t going to work for one of the people in our group and they accommodated us by giving us a new room. They were so pleasant and kind.
- Gaetano (9/5): Superb -
- Tomascae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (3/5): Poor -
- Ilaria (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - great room, beautiful view, warm, causy breakfast could be in a slightly bigger room, a lot of people that needed to wait to get a table
- Azucena (3/5): Poor -
- Aatirah (8/5): Very good - Great staff, location and amenities No elevator
