I wish I knew the names of all the staff because I would name them all! The manager, Juan Carlos is the BEST, always available and with an answer to all of our questions! The included breakfast was just DELICIOUS! The room was cozy, clean, comfortable, just great! The menu for the dinner has enough items to order from and all of them were DELICIOUS! This beautiful small hotel only has three rooms, my husband and I were in one, my brother and his wife in another, and the third room is used by the manager. This place is so cozy and perfect! It was a blessing! Everything was perfect! The only part that I did not like was that I had to leave! I wish we were able to stay longer! I am so looking forward to coming back to this great place. It was an amazing experience!

Man bucht in einem der teureren Hotels der Gegend Zimmer mit Frühstück und bekommt eine kleinere Auswahl als in einfachsten Hotels. Eine Tasse Kaffee eine Auswahl an kleinen Frühstückskomponenten und für alles andere wollen Sie einen Aufpreis! So etwas habe ich noch nirgends erlebt!

Outstanding service and not to mention the delicious menu options at their restaurant 😋 🙌💯 Very comfortable bedroom suite perfect for a couple's get away. Owners were there and were very nice and on top of everything! Maye, the restaurant manager, was amazingly courteous and even brought the green bananas for my mom who is diabetic and could only have that item for breakfast 😀 They also arranged the tour to Cayo Arena and that was also an amazing experience! I just regret not staying longer but will definitely plan to be back soon 🙏🏽🌞

La comida es 100% recomendable aunque los jugos pueden mejorar la cantidad de azúcar, endulzar menos. El aire acondicionado es un poco molesto debido a vibraciones.

La playa es linda, pero dentro del agua hay muchas plantas en el fondo, con lo cual, te la pasas caminando dentro de agua pisando pasto y algas, se llena de botes. Muy ruidoso todo, demasiada gente Demasiado caro para lo que ofrecen el desayuno es limitado, a la carta, solo café y pan con huevo revuelto, no podes repetir ni el café ni lo que se come

Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y amplias, el personal es amable y servicial. En general todo funciona de maravilla. Mi única sugerencia es que la habitación no teníamos cafetera y para los amantes de café como yo, es un must, pero me informaron que en las próximas semanas las instalarían.

The restaurant is fantastic, with delicious, fresh food and a beautiful seaside setting. But the real highlight was the private excursions to Cayo Arena—100% worth it! Easily the best thing I’ve seen in the Dominican Republic. We saw so many colourful fish, enjoyed crystal-clear waters, and had a completely personalised experience. Highly recommended! Hope to be back soon.

The property is located right on the beach (cant beat that location). Air condition rooms with small fridge and smart TV. Wi fi signal was great in the room. Endless supply of drinking water and tea from the property. The restaurant is amazing and the included breakfast was delicious! I will recommend this property to my friends. Our two nights stay were magical! Thank you Blue Island Punta Rucia and Juan Carlos!

No hesitation. - Location in a quiet (apart from merengue/bachata as everywhere in RD) fishing village with little tourism, and this 2-bedroom (+villas) is one of few, giving the place a feeling of stepping back 30 years. Although busy and more lively everywhere on weekends with Dominicans from Santiago etc. Staff lovely, location so on the beach, water warm beautiful calm for swimming. Food excellent. Comfy bed, beautiful spacious room. Nothing. As a suggestion though: the menu could be expanded a bit. I found that the whole village was offering mostly the same menu and after a while, I longed for more variety. (See Mosquito boutique hotel, Las Terrenas for more ideas!). Everything they did cook at Blue Island was beautifully done.

The food was excellent , the room was comfortable and the location was perfect. The staff was able to make really precious recommendations about neighboring businesses like tours and restaurants. The hotel is situated right on the beach and the view from the room that we were in was amazing. At night you can hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The beach offers many activities and restaurants. The locals are incredibly friendly and accommodating when it comes to requests. Haggling for prices is highly suggested. :) I'll miss the conversations with Juan Carlos and his incredible staff. I can't recommend this location enough. Sometimes neighbors have very loud parties. During our 10 days stay this happened only one night .Of course this is in no way Blue Island's fault. So it doesn't affect my 5 stars for this review.
