• Joke (8/5): Tastefully decorated appartment with fantastic terrace for a relaxing time off. - We had a great time at this appartment. It is located in the quieter part of Las Canteras beach, right by the sea. The appartment is very tastefully done, with coordinating colors, modern furniture and lots of indirect lights. The terrace is absolutely fantastastic, with plenty of sunshine and built-in benches to sit on and watch the sea and the people passing on the boardwalk below. The building is cleaned everyday, and there is a concierge during part of the day. Supermarket, bus stop and restaurants are all within walking distance. Ideal for a week of full relaxation... The bed was on the small side for two Flemish giants like us (feet overboard). As this is an old building, there was a persistent smell of bad plumbing in the bathroom and the kitchen, but we managed it by opening the front door and the terrace door from time to time, so the draft could air out the place.
• Tim (3/5): Looks good in the pictures, but the guest experience is that you're not welcome. - The apartment is well located on the seafront with a sliding door opening onto a spacious balcony overlooking the promenade and the sea. Overall, the apartment is clean and well presented. The property is listed as a one bedroom apartment with an additional sofa bed. However, it is a studio barely larger than a decent hotel room, with the bed in the main room. It would not be possible to accommodate more than one couple as there is no privacy within the apartment. Though it has been decorated to look good in pictures, all aspects of guest comfort are inadequate, namely: – the hot water tank is minuscule, so a shower lasts little more than a minute and if there are two of you, you either have to lather the soap with the water off and/or wait a couple of hours for the water to reheat. – the bed is a fold-down bed and is uncomfortable — I suffered back ache after the second night — and the bed linen is poor quality. – the 'amenities' — shower gel, soap, toilet roll — are the absolute cheapest and when questioned, the host said, "these are only welcome amenities", so you are expected to go and buy your own. – the WiFi is patchy and mostly non-functioning. When questioned, the host suggested I reboot the router. There are two TV's in the apartment but the remotes are identical and control both TV's but not effectively. The impression left by the host for this property is that this is purely a money-making enterprise, and they have taken deliberate steps to minimise any expenditure that would contribute to a sense of welcoming to the guests — e.g., the kettle must have been the absolute cheapest they could buy and didn't switch off automatically. Everything is the bare minimum — even down to the half bottle of washing up liquid and only two toilet rolls. When questioned about this, the host simply said "read the reviews".

• Florian (7/5): Praktische Unterkunft für ein Wochenende in der Stadt - Die Einrichtung und Blick vom Balkon waren sehr schön und die Lage toll. Es gab viele kleine Kakerlaken überall in der Küche. Das Bad hatte nach Abfluss gestunken.

Dobrze wyposażone we wszystkie niezbędne akcesoria (toster, przelewowy ekspres do kawy, bezprzewodowy czajnik, pralka, itp.) Mieszkanie znajduje się na trzecim piętrze. Dojazd windą. Posiada balkon z widokiem na plażę. W pobliżu znajduje się bardzo dużo restauracji.

• Max (9/5): Romantic modern apartment with balcony sunset views and great amenities. - Beautiful view and the balcony is incredible. The sun sets on the beach/balcony side. We watched the sunset twice here which was magical, very nice place to relax aswell. The apartment is located nicely in about the middle of the beach, super easy to reach. The apartment looks very modern and is definitely big enough for 2-3 people even if it looks smaller on the photos. It was clean and very well equipped with coffee, sugar, salt, water cooker, pans, plates, glasses etc. Bathroom is also beautiful. Our arrival was perfect, as we were allowed to enter the apartment early (by luck) and were greeted very kindly by Guillem. We didn't have any noise issues and the Aircon worked fine too. If you keep the balcony window open at night (we had no late night street noise) you can fall asleep with the sound of the waves. It's not the cheapest option in the city, but from all the ones I've seen this was the most special, and we absolutely loved our trip. Stayed here for 3 nights. In some areas the modern look of the apartment is superficial. The bathroom for example only gave us about 3 mins of hot water which was quite disappointing. Luckily the "cold" water doesn't get ice cold, but still. Having to stop the shower to apply shampoo so you have enough hot water to rinse it off again feels a bit silly in an apartment that looks (and costs) like this. There were also some water pressure issues, making the shower kind of "stutter" sometimes. We slept absolutely fine on the mattress, but it did feel a bit cheap/worn out. Don't expect a hotel soft mattress (we personally preferred this harder one). In some other areas you for example notice that the electric stove isn't fully fixed to the kitchen and can move. We also found it funny that the hairdryer was one of those wall mounted ones, but instead of mounting it, it was just laying in the drawer, so you always had a wall piece dangling while using it haha. But these were all small things to us, and honestly did not affect our stay. It gets almost everything right and feels like a very special place. For us it was still a 9, as we really enjoyed the place!

On our arrival we were met by our host, she was very friendly and messaged several times asking if everything was okay and not to hesitate if we had any questions. Best part of the apartment is the balcony, we spent a lot of time there relaxing and eating breakfast etc. Communication with the host was easy and the apartment had everything you needed. Highly recommend this apartment if visiting Las Palmas. There was no toilet paper in the apartment when we arrived and the fridge doesn't have a freezer so couldn't store ice or ice cream.

• Barbara (9/5): Fabulous studio apartment overlooking Las Canteras beach - This comfortable and spacious studio apartment has a terrace with a fabulous sea view and is very near everything: the beach, restaurants, supermarkets and public transport (so no need to rent a car). The apartment overlooks the beach and the pedestrian promenade so there is no traffic noise. Being on the 3rd floor (there’s a lift), you don’t hear noise from the local restaurants and bars either. The flat is very well equipped including a washing and drying machine, air conditioning, a range of kitchen equipment and wardrobe space. The only equipment that was missing was a freezer compartment in the fridge to be able to make ice cubes and store ice cream, but this little detail didn’t spoil our holiday and we would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Gran Canaria. The indoor unit of the air conditioning was a little noisy when it was on during the night. The coffee capsules we found in the kitchen on arrival didn’t fit the coffee machine, and I bought a box of the wrong type when I went shopping before I realized this.
• Mhuyhen (9/5): big and new beachfront apartment - the studio apartment was big and full of amenities. it has a terrace fronting the beach. it has new appliances especially the kitchen. because i booked on the day before a weekend, the price was high. but i'd highly recommend it especially if you're staying longer. would love to go back. since las canteras promenade is long, it's not really at the center if you walk from sta. catalina park. it's nearer to the auditorium and shopping center on the other end. even if there are many appliances , one simple thing missing was the bidet in the toilet. a faucet type shower bidet would be enough. since it's an airbnb type, you have to coordinate with the host for your arrival to get the key. if they can automate it like having a mail box, like what's mostly done in Norway , then it's more convenient,
