The temperatures were in the 30s whilst we were staying in London, so although there was a fan in the room it wasn't enough to cool it down. This was unusually hot weather so I'm sure normally it would be fine.
• Leanne (10/5): Great location, great hotel - will use again - The location of the Duchess Belle is the selling point (directly opposite Battersea Underground Station), but the hotel itself is also lovely. Very comfortable room (my 11yr old and I shared a double), bed was great, bathroom clean. No air con (so a little toasty in the May heatwave!) but there was very thoughtfully a fan in the room, which helped. The heat! But that was beyond the hotel’s control and the fan in the room was a very welcome touch.

• Denise (9/5): - Staff were very friendly, food was great and spot on for location and price No AC in rooms..we stayed in the middle of a heatwave..and even though we had a tower fan in our room it was still unbearably hot and we had a very poor nights sleep.The owners should seriously consider putting it in.Having said thst...we would deffo stay again..but in Autumn or winter and we have recommended the property to all our friends

• CharleeBee23 (10/5): Superb place to stay for a short-stop weekend break - It was a very comfortable stay. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good and more available if asked for. Location for our event venue (Battersea Power Station and Tube-Station) was perfect. The whole area around about is lovely and I really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, modern and bathroom/ shower was great and water was very hot, but the room was just lacking a few drawer spaces. Room lacked a few drawer spaces. This didn’t diminish our great weekend, it’s just a small observation.
• Séverine (7/5): - L'emplacement. Le petit déj anglais. Nous étions déjà venus en décembre et avions trouvé cet hôtel super. Il est très mignon. Nous avons donc décidé d'y retourner. Malheureusement cette fois-ci nous n'avons pas eu la même chambre que la première fois. Très petite. Lit collé contre le mur et à peine la place de marcher le long du lit. Grosse galère pour ouvrir nos 2 valises moyennes. De plus, avec les 33 degrés à Londres ces jours-ci, une chaleur intolérable dans la chambre... Malgré le ventilateur, impossible de fermer l'oeil. La fenêtre ouverte n'y a rien changé et avec le bruit ce n'était pas la solution. Je déconseille en été. Après 3 semaines de road trip en Angleterre j'avais envie d'autre chose qu'un petit déj anglais. Autant le petit déj anglais du duchess belle est très bien, autant le petit déj continental est un peu austère.... Et bizarrement, nous avons payé plus cher qu'en décembre en période de Noël...

• Alison (8/5): Fantastic location, super friendly staff - Fantastic location bang opposite Battersea power station and within easy walking distance of Battersea Barge for a comedy night, which was the main reason we were there. Lovely bathroom, very clean and nice toiletries, room was a little compact but very well appointed. It was very warm at night but fan provided. Breakfast next day was good value, well presented and friendly, smiley staff. All in all a great stay Room was rather small, one side of bed against wall so for 2 of us a bit too compact

• Ruth (9/5): Great stay at an interesting friendly London Pub - The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location for visiting Chelsea Flower Show and exploring the Battersea area. Basic but spotlessly clean. Unusually hot for May which meant the room was very hot but there was an Air Con machine and we were only using the room for sleeping. The pub was eccentric and interesting and made us smile because it was jolly and different. Great to be somewhere that felt independent and wasn’t the standard boring grey you get in hotels. Felt very secure. The room was incredibly small. Not having a beside table and having to clamber over to the other side because the bed was right up against the wall was very awkward. The shower room was fine for size. However everything else was very good so this was a compromise we were prepared to make. We had read reviews about the room size so it wasn’t a surprise. Due to the size of the room we probably wouldn’t book more than a couple of nights.

• barbara (8/5): A good stay in a great area. - in general the room was great, very comfortable bed, blackout curtains , also having a fan and USB socket was great. Breakfast was very nice and catered for my needs with something different to the menu. a small chair and somewhere to put your clothes would be good, also the bathroom could do with a shelf to put your wash bag/toothbrush on. As the bed was against the wall it was tricky to get in and out of the bed without climbing over/disturbing your partner especially for the older/ less able generation.

• Dominique (7/5): Bon emplacement mais très bruyant - Hotel bien placé dommage qu’il soit en bordure de route très passante donc tres bruyant. Problème de fenêtre car fermée ou ouverte nous avions autant de bruit. Aucun rangement dans la chambre si ce n’est 4 cintres plaqués au mur. Valises au sol alors que la chambre est très petite. Aucun rangement ou étagère dans la salle de bain. On ne peut même pas poser sa brosse à dent sur le lavabo à cause des 2 robinets. Un petit peu d'aménagement changerait tout.
• Nicolas (4/5): - Le petit déjeuner, l'emplacement, le concept au dessus d'un pub et la proximité des transports. Les chambres sont bruyantes par le bruit des rues car l’hôtel est situé sur un carrefour de routes très passagères. Par ailleurs le lit de 140 cm ne correspondait pas du tout à la réservation sur le site booking et je suis très déçu car il s'agit de publicité mensongère. J'ai réservé pour un lit KING SIZE tel qu'il est précisé sur la réservation booking en phot en PJ (dimension 181-210cm). Signalé à l'équipe sur place il m'a été rapporté que tous les lits de cet établissement étaient standards et qu'il n'y avait pas de lits king size. C'est vraiment très décevant, et je porte une réclamation car cette publicité mensongère a véritablement eu des conséquences très dommageable sur mon déplacement à Londres. J'attends vos explications et un geste commercial.

• lisa (5/5): Poor sleep due to noise - Clean room, beds are comfortable. Room situation room is literally in the courtyard noise from people in the bar. Constant humming all night what I think is a fridge in another room. Every so often hear a noise that I can only describe a washing machine on fast spin. Noise from people above at 5:30am banging of doors and shouting. For 5 hours sleep money not worth it. Bonus is the staff are friendly!

• Wim (9/5): Prima kamer in een gezellige pub! - - ontbijt - vriendelijkheid van het personeel - netheid van de kamer en badkamer - ligging vlakbij de underground - gezellige inrichting van de pub - zoals men eerder zei ligt de kamer beneden naast de biertuin, maar...de eigenaar sloot de tuin steeds op een redelijk uur af waardoor het heerlijk stil was om te slapen!

• Karen (9/5): Trendy base for a London stay - Fantastic location directly opposite the Battersea power station and underground railway station. The pub is beautifully decorated and trendy, silk flowers and mirrors everywhere. We loved being served fresh made to order breakfast, either hot or continental. All the staff were excellent - friendly and polite. Our room was small but had a very comfortable bed, good pillows and bed linen. Spotlessly clean. Towels were big and good quality, changed daily. Though our room was above the pub we didn’t hear any noise from the pub - some traffic noise occasionally but not too bad. Renovations have been done tastefully and well. We appreciated the smart tv and phone charging points. I booked this hotel as it stated in the booking.com description that it had a king bed 180-210cm wide. The bed in our room was only queen size but according to Google, a UK king is the same as an Australian queen. So I think the description needs to be updated so people know what they’re booking. However the bed was very comfortable. The room was lovely but tiny and tricky with 2 suitcases and clothing for an 8 day stay.

• Mervin (9/5): - Staff were warm and welcoming from the get go. Lovely pub. The location is fantastic with great transport links. Short walk to the US embassy if that’s what you need. Room is nice and cosy. Breakfast and service was great. No locks on the inside of the door to my room. It’s great that you need a fob to access the rooms and then a separate room key for your door. But I always want to see a separate lock on the inside of the room.

The food was very good especially the breakfast, if you like sport there are enough TV sets all around the bar areas. The balcony on the first floor was excellent to sit out and watch the world go by.

Gostei comodidades do quarto , tinha tudo o que era necessário, cama confortável Quando cheguei pela primeira fez fiquei um pouco assustada porque a parte inferior do hotel é um bar e tinha barulho. Mas ao meia noite o bar fecha e eu dormi com tranquilidade

• Luigi Romito (7/5): - La pulizia, la posizione e la colazione Prima di tutto avevamo chiesto di fare il check in alle 10 e Booking ci aveva risposto che la richiesta era stata accolta. Ma quando siamo arrivati hanno detto che non era possibile avere la camera prima delle 14. Ho fatto vedere la risposta di Booking ma l'unica possibilità che ci hanno dato è stata quella di lasciare il bagaglio. La camera matrimoniale, pulita e ristrutturata da poco, era piccolissima. Il bagno con una doccia comoda ma un lavandino minuscolo e con due rubinetti separati, uno per l'acqua fredda e uno per la calda, roba che in Italia non si vede dagli anni '50, era difficile lavarsi perfino le mani!
• Debsky (9/5): Fabulous location and great breakfast - Excellent location for the tube, the American embassy and the Battersea Power station. Great breakfast too. There were very limited surfaces to put things on in the room and bathroom. A stool or small chair would have been good.

• Jane (9/5): Lovely little hotel in a great location - This was a fabulous place to stay for my trip to London. It was comfortable and clean and the perfect location. My sister and I shared a room which was perfect. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. The only minor thing I would change is the bread at breakfast. I like a granary bread or sour dough for toast.

Great location to the Thames for water taxis & sub station straight across the road for travel into the centre of London. Nothing
• Aurelie (1/5): Très mauvaise expérience, à fuir - Mauvaise connexion WIFI, chaleur étouffante dans les chambres sans pouvoir ouvrir les fenêtres car alentours bruyants, petit-déjeuner très moyen de basse qualité, pas de fruits proposés. Le pire : le manager a annulé notre dernière nuitée sans nous prévenir, remballé nos affaires personnelles dans des sacs plastique et déplacé nos valises sans que l'on comprenne pourquoi puisque le séjour avait été payé en amont. Pas d'autre chambre proposée car hôtel plein selon ce Manager. Nous avons découvert la situation en rentrant du restaurant à 22h30 ! Remboursement promis par le Manager qui dit avoir eu une mauvaise info de son collègue (laquelle??? il n'a pas pu nous expliquer), mais aucune nouvelle de sa part malgré nos emails... Nous nous en remettons à Booking pour réparer ce préjudice et nous rembourser.

• Stephen (7/5): Fab location with very lovely staff food and drinks but awful bedroom - The property is literally across the road from Battersea power station which is where we were going.Very friendly staff, lovely pub serving lovely food and drinks at a really reasonable price (not the normal London high prices). The complimentary drink on arrival was a lovely touch. We had the small double room called the Final Cut and although fine in size I’d would Definitely avoid in the future as the room has no window or ventilation and was so hot and uncomfortable so we had very very little sleep and there’s a small green light in the ceiling which is far to bright.Plus a huge wall mirror next to bed which is pointless.Personally I don’t think they should let this room out as it very much ruined our stay.

• Michela (9/5): Un comodo hotel in fiore per lunghi o brevi soggiorni! - L'hotel è molto carino ed originale con vasi di fiori ed una terrazzina al primo piano, lo si nota subito appena si esce dalla metropolitana, il personale è gentile e simpatico. La camera era pulita rifatta tutti i giorni, letto comodo e stanza ottimamente insonorizzata, abbiamo riposato bene senza rumori, nemmeno del pub sottostante. Un carino e comodo pub al piano terra, può essere un'idea per cenare e bersi una birra dopo una giornata a camminare. Noi siamo stati sfortunati, su 6 giorni 4 la metropolitana era in sciopero, ma davanti all'hotel c'è una fermata comodissima ed a pochi minuti a piedi la fermata di una linea ferroviaria, quindi: per/da l'aeroporto e per muoversi in ogni direzione c'è sempre un mezzo utile senza attese! A poca distanza anche la stazione per navigare il Tamigi! La Stazione di Battersea per chi ama i Pink Floyd sarà un bello scorcio di panorama! Se dovessimo tornare a Londra ci torneremmo volentieri! Non c'era niente di negativo, piccole cose non gravi. La camera molto piccola senza un armadio (solo 4 grucce appese ad una sbarra) od una sedia per appoggiare abiti od oggetti. Con le valigie aperte non ci si muoveva con agilità! Chi dorme lato muro deve salire sul letto dal fondo. Un faretto verde, credo una luce d'emergenza, sul soffitto era molto forte e con una mascherina forse avrei dormito meglio. Comunque tutto superabile senza problemi!

We were then shown to our room and told everything we needed to know. The room was excellent. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and also had a wonderful en suite bathroom with an excellent shower. The pub is in a lovely location, being close to the underground and bus services. The breakfast was excellent, with the portions being just right and freshly cooked. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating.

• Luděk (9/5): Prefektní místo, pár minut od metra Northern Line, v těsné blízkosti Battersea Power Station. - Snídaně "Good Girl Breakfast" (klobáska, vejce, restovaná slanina, pečené houby, fazolky v tomatě, topinka s máslem, čaj nebo kafe) perfektní. Dobré pivo London Pride, názvy pokojů podle desek Pink Floyd.
• Jayne (10/5): - We stayed last year for an appointment with the American embassy the train broke down we arrived at midnight they couldn't have been more accommodating, so that's why we booked again no drama this time accommodation great staff so good with everything 15 minutes until breakfast closed and nothing was too much trouble. If your in London especially for the American embassy because its only a ten minute walk would book the dutchess belle and recommend to anyone I know. Excellent. Nothing
• Nicola (9/5): - The bar area, the breakfast, the friendly team and the location for the US Embassy Sleeping above the ladies toilets and hearing the hand dryer go off several times. The steps up into the bathroom.

• maurice (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were extremely comfortable. The location is great for visiting battersea power station and the ramses exhibition about 5 minutes walk.

• Mcquillen (10/5): - We had a very pleasant welcome with a complimentary welcome drink. The staff were attentive and polite. The quirky décor was lovely! The food was excellent quality and definitely tempted us to stay in the hotel for our evening meal. (We were going to look elsewhere) The whole place was clean and very well appointed, we were pleased with the room we were allocated.
• Katie (10/5): Excellent location for Battersea attractions - Nice traditional London Pub. Immediately opposite Battersea Power Station. Good rail links. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room and tasty breakfast Not good for limited mobility as steel narrow stairs
