I won't say didn't like, most of Tokyo hotels are smaller in size. With 2 kids it felt bit cramped with 3 beds in one room but underneath beds we could slide suitcases and use the available free room. Positives are far more than the space we felt could have been bit larger.

• Elvira (9/5): Brilliant location, super modern, clean and excellent facilities. - It's Tokyo, the room was small, but super modern, absolutely spotless and great location in Ueno. I would recommend this area of Tokyo for people travelling who want a little less crazy and open spaces. Room was a little small, but we are from Australia and are spoilt for room sizes.

• Ramon (9/5): Great location and welcoming staff - Hotel is located in a nice area, close to transport and to Ueno park. There’s lots of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was an evening with free drinks. The room is advertised for 5 people (2 beds and 3 futons). We were only 4 and I believe the futon space was already quite tight.

Het is allemaal self service, maar er is een wasmachine/droger incl wasmiddel. Je kan je kleding ook drogen in de droog/douche kamer. Mega schoon.

Also, there is a large park nearby and a good selection of restaurants, shops and market in the neighbourhood. The staff were nice and helpful, and the room was a decent size and spotless. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again on our next Tokyo trip. Not a lot of room for suitcases in the room, but we knew that, so it didn't really bother us

• Yeong (7/5): Conveniently located hotel with very small room and limited amenities, but very friendly staff. - Conveniently located near Ueno Park and Station. Clean lobby and very friendly and helpful front desk receptionists. Check-in was very easy and nice. Very small rooms for 4 people with little space for 4 suitcases at a very high price. We visited in late-March during Cherry Blossom Festival, so maybe that is a very expensive time to visit Ueno Park.

Besides its strategic location, the rooms are spacious with reasonable price, and most importantly, it has a washing machine. The staff is friendly, and there are several complimentary amenities provided. No pajamas :(

• Michael (9/5): Fantastic place for a family traveling to Kyoto wanting to go to the touristy places. - Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The local is excellent as it is close to the train station, the Nishiki market, and a huge shopping area. The only real negative is that the TV could not connect to Netflix like another hotel we stayed at in Tokyo.

In addition, the location was quiet but literally steps away from restaurants and shops. We will return! It was a bit pricey but you pay for quality during tourist season.

• Dalahdp72 (10/5): Relaxing, convenient and homey stay in Ueno area - Great location as it is just a few blocks to several train stations, Yamanote line, Ginza line, Hibiya Line. It is also very close to shopping (Parco and Matsuzakaya mall and Ameyoko Market), as well as lots of great restaurants (yakitori, izakaya, etc.) along the street and around the block! Despite all these establishments, the street is quiet and calm. It allowed a quiet retreat after a full day of moving around other busy areas. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and very helpful. We took a higher floor thinking we needed some peace and quiet, however I think a lower floor would've been just fine. The room is very spacious with sofa, full kitchen (with good size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven and equipped with dinnerware, cookware, etc.), dining table and washer/dryer so we felt at home. We didn't cook as we found lots of food options as well as Family Mart at the corner. I did do laundry so that was a plus to help with my luggage going home. My friend and I loved it so much we are thinking to stay here again next time we are in Tokyo!

• Christophe (10/5): Lovely area, nice appartment. - Ideally located place,in a nice quiet location, surounded by little fancy restaurants and close to the metro and the train. The appartement was nice and clean. The front desk people were very nice and helpful.
