- Manuel (9/5): - We had a very lovely stay at Zen Wellness Resort in Aswan. From the warm welcome to the farewell, the whole team was incredibly friendly and made us feel very comfortable throughout the stay. The location is quite remote and far from the city center, but if you don’t mind commuting to the sights, it’s a very peaceful and relaxing place away from the hectic atmosphere of Aswan. The facilities were great, especially the gym. The room had everything we needed, housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and breakfast was very enjoyable and had everything we were looking for. A special thank you to the entire staff — reception, housekeeping, and especially the breakfast team — for always being welcoming and smiling. The only small downside for us was that the upselling of massages and treatments sometimes felt a little too pushy. Still, this was only a minor point and did not really affect what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

- SEVERINE (1/5): Non confirme aux photos - La villa est grande neuve soit confortable et propre Je ne sais pas si c’était l’ouverture! Le personnel est très gentil soit mais peu formé : les photos de la villa indiquait une cuisine or elle n’était pas finie. La piscine de notre ensemble de villa il y a une petite piscine en bas était verte alors qu’il n’y avait personne dans l’hôtel et qu’ils auraient très bien pu nous donner une autre villa. À l’arrivée hormis l’information du petit déjeuner très peu d’infos dans le personnel, deux ou trois personnes qui parlent anglais c’est tout . on avait pris cette villa parce que il y avait une salle de gym très bien équipée, sur les vidéos, une cuisine gastronomique, des cours de yoga devant la piscine etc. À l’arrivée rien du tout. Mes enfants demandent à aller à la salle de sport, c’était une toute petite salle avec un vélo, donc rien à voir avec ce qu’il y avait sur la photo. Lorsque nous avons réservé des massages, nous sommes sortis en peignoir et en fait on nous a emmené dans un vanne qui datait d’il y a 30 ans, et le spa n’est pas dans la résidence mais à 10 minutes en voiture. Idem, sans s’en être informé au préalable. Au restaurant aucun plat gastronomique. Je ne comprends vraiment pas ce que le management prévoit dans cet hôtel mais il faut vous organiser car les notes risquent d être mauvaises!

- Cynthia (6/5): Great potential - amazing accommodation but facilities need further improvement. - We stayed in the villa and it was the best holiday villa I have experienced. The beds were super comfortable, luxurious sheets and the villa was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The was limited facilities available. The resort looked like it was very much undercapacity, which meant not all the pools were open and there seemed to be a food supply issue since a lot of what was on the menu was not available at the main restaurant. Their "destination" restaurant was also "closed for maintenance" for the entire Easter weekend. Wellness/retreat services also very limited due to undercapacity I am guessing.

Am besten war der Check out Keine Stühle oder Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem Balkon es war dreckig vor allem im Bad kein Wasser auf dem Zimmer zum trinken die minibar war leer Frühstücks Buffet sehr überschaubar. Fazit die Bilder bei booking viel Schein leider wenig sein

The resort is absolutely beautiful, with clean and well-maintained rooms that made our stay very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. A special thanks to Amel, the manager, who went above and beyond to assist us—she helped arrange taxis and made sure everything ran smoothly for us. Everyone at the resort was welcoming and attentive, which really enhanced our experience. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and would happily stay here again! Nithing

- Jan (7/5): Mooi ontwerp, maar slechte afwerking - rustige locatie, weg van het hektische Aswan. Complex heeft veel potentieel, maar is nog niet volledig af, ik schat 1/3, is enorm groot afwerking is enorm slecht, kan nog niet afgebroken zijn door toeristen, want slechts 1/3 is in gebruik, In het restaurant vielen de blaren van het menu uit elkaar, heel beperkte keuze aan gerechten, waar dan nog de helft niet verkrijgbaar is. Er wordt geen alcohol geserveerd owv healthy imago... Filmpje op website klopt zeker niet

Well designed and mapped out. The staff were lovely. Special thanks to Asmaa and Nashwa at the Wellness Centre who were delightful and gave us great treatments. Thank you too to Shahd who was our guest experience coordinator and Mostafa with his cute bed decor. There was a lot of dust around and in the rooms which was not cleaned during our entire stay. Rooms weren’t really vacuumed/swept or mopped for our entire stay. We requested the bathroom be cleaned but it was only surface touches done - no deep clean. This was probably the biggest issue we had. Wait time at check in was also quite long.

- Sonia (1/5): DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY Worst Expereince - Not a Wellness it was Hellness - Breakfast was good after a 5min bus ride to the restaurant Booked Zen Wellness Resort specifically for a relaxing spa and wellness break, based on what was advertised on both the hotel’s website and Booking.com. Unfortunately, the experience was completely misrepresented and extremely disappointing. A wide range of facilities advertised were not available, including spa and wellness services, yoga and fitness classes, heated pools, beauty and body treatments, dental services, business centre facilities, and a fully functioning spa and fitness centre. These facilities were the primary reason I chose this hotel, and their absence fundamentally undermined the purpose of my stay. I raised my concerns directly with the General Manager during my stay and gave the hotel an opportunity to resolve the issues. No meaningful resolution was offered only delay tactics wasting my time. As a single woman travelling alone, I also did not feel that my safety and wellbeing were taken seriously, which ultimately led me to leave the hotel early. Booking.com was unable to assist with relocation, leaving me no choice but to secure alternative accommodation at my own expense. I also paid separately for a massage, which resulted in physical pain for days later, an already negative experience. This was not the wellness retreat advertised, and I did not receive the services or environment I paid for. I would strongly advise future guests to verify very carefully which facilities are actually operating before booking, particularly if you are travelling alone or booking specifically for spa and wellness purposes. Ashraf and Mohey you should be ashamed of yourselves for ripping people off, £1000 would have been better off spent at another hotel. All the negative reviews are true, Ashraf the general manager even laughed saying they had a great marketing team, which they do as this failed housing development in 40mins away from the city centre. All good reviews have got to be fake. Ashraf and Mohey please don’t bother responding on here with your BS.

- ian (6/5): Mixed standard of service, dodgy manhole cover and cold showers! - - Breakfast was good. - The Guest Experience Manager (Ms. Amel Amed El Sayed) was excellent and helped us enormously. - Room was comfortable (subject to what I say below). - Lovely view There are a number of things that are not up to standard. - Inconsistent standards of service - some mornings we had great service at breakfast with waiters offering us coffee and generally being helpful. On others we were told to get it ourselves (while waitresses stood around staring at their phones). - Maintenance (water) - on our second day we had no hot water. The front desk said it would be fixed yet 6 hours later we still had issues despite 3 separate assurances that it would be fixed (I had to shower in the gym and my wife had a cold shower). The next morning we were promised a move by had to wait for a room that we did not like! In fairness the excellent Guest Manager moved us to a really nice room which was great - but we basically lost a day out of our holiday. - Maintenance (manhole) - a manhole cover flipped open and I fell over cutting my legs! Injury could have been far worse! - Laughed at! - we received daily calls asking about our experience. On the day I fell down the manhole, I mentioned this and the lady on the phone said “yes I heard “ and laughed! I was actually in some pain with a twisted knee and cut legs so was not amused! - Limited Menu - very limited dinner menu (although the food available was actually good). In theory there was a buffet available which we had once and enjoyed. Problem was that during our 6 night stay it was only available once. - “Wellness” services were not available on site but were a 7 minute shuttle bus ride away. - Gym in the resort was poor (one adequate treadmill and one ancient narrow/short treadmill plus two bicycle machines and weights). Again the main gym (which is in fairness excellent) was 7 minutes away by shuttle bus then only a from 9 am! - Dogs - too many stray dogs walking free around the resort. Not pleasant especially at night.

Poor Location & Internal Logistics: The hotel is too far from the city, making it difficult to book an InDrive. The internal layout is a logistical nightmare; you need a golf cart to get from reception to your room and a separate van to reach the restaurant. During peak hours, the wait times are a disaster. There are no pedestrian paths, so if you want to walk, you must take a long detour along the vehicle driveway. 2. Room Condition & Maintenance: • Hygiene: I found long hairs from previous guests on the bed. While the linens were fresh, the decorative pillows were clearly not cleaned. • Electrical Issues: Half of the bathroom outlets are hidden behind the mirror. The hairdryer had a UK plug with no matching socket in the room. The AC remote was dead; when I notified staff, they took an hour to bring a "Carrier" remote for an LG unit. I had to swap the batteries into the original remote myself to make it work. • Lack of Basics: No master light switch by the bed, no USB ports, and no "Do Not Disturb" signs. Soundproofing is terrible—I was woken up multiple times by noise in the hallway. 3. Facilities & Dining: The shampoo was inexplicably diluted with water. The first night had no hot water, only lukewarm. Breakfast was subpar (farmhouse level), and clean cups were mixed with used ones. The dinner buffet was priced at an unreasonable $30—I preferred taking a taxi to the city for McDonald's instead. 4. Unprofessional Service: Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:10 AM on checkout day while I was still asleep, which felt intrusive and unsafe. The staff lacks professional training, and the management company seems very inexperienced.

- Marco Tancredi (9/5): Perfect in every aspect - The property is settled on the Nile river, 15 km in the north of Aswan, far from the noise of the city. There are available golf carts going around to your room and to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast. The room are spacious and comfortable. Food and shower products are carefully chosen to reflect the aim of this resort. Special mention to all the staff who were always present to help us and in particular to Dina who welcomed us and followed us since the start of our time in the resort. Nothing.

Not user friendly; a lot of time wastage. 2. The staff from Front office - receptionist and Amel the “guest relation” manager. They were both 0 professional, not helpful and very inconsiderate. This hotel is a “5 star” and yet the service from these two made the whole experience horrible. The hotel was empty - no wonder why - if these two are in it. We were in the hotel early as our flight was in the morning. My senior parents and I had breakfast at the hotel because we were hungry and we needed to wait until close to the check in time. When we were done, they told us the room was not ready but that we could go to the pool and enjoy the facilities. They sent us to the pool, the pool was closed and there was no service. They kept us waiting for two hours and even at our check in time, they gave us our room 30 mins late. There’s nothing “5 star” of this service. I wouldn’t even consider staying in this property at all.

- Moustafa (9/5): - The spot is amazing, offering a beautiful view over the nile. The villa we stayed in was very spacious. The golf cart service was efficient and convenient to move from one place to another. (adding Boards with maps on the main Street would be useful). Unfortunately we did not see the wellness center and could not go to the farm house for lunch as we only stayed 1 day. With a better staff training, communication would be fluid with the guest and reduce frustration. The whatsapp service is very quick to reply: we were on our way to the airport and realised we forgot a device in one of the room. Ms Emel answered immediately to confirm: very helpful. The place has definetly a great potential.

Best staff I have ever met and because of them the experience was amazing at Zen wellness. The place was very relaxing, calm and peaceful. A day before we arrived at Zen wellness, one of the receptionist, Dina Hassan, messaged me, introduced herself and said that she will be in contact with me until We arrive safely and if I need any help to just ask. She was sooo sweet, kind, very helpful, her responses were very quick and she made me feel very comfortable and welcomed, I would message her at anytime of the day and she would reply very quickly, She felt like a sister. Dina also gave us a list of recommendations of places to visit in Aswan which was super helpful. She made our stay 100 times better. we were was really sad to leave and would definitely stay again. The bacony door didn't lock at all, the internet connection did not work before intervention by a technician, there was no hot water in the bathroom which is unacceptable, the ATM machine near the entrance was out of order and the hotle claimed no responsibility which is odd for a vive star resort with european prices.

Entgegen vieler Kommentare die ich vorher gelesen hatte, besaßen beide Zimmer einen Fernseher. Ich möchte besonders Dina positiv erwähnen die jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung stand. Eine solche Hilfsbereitschaft und Serviceorientierung habe ich selten in einem Hotel erlebt. Wir hatten sehr erholsame Tage. Danke Dina und dem ganzen Team vom the Zen. Liegt etwas abseits von Asuan, dass sollte einem vorher klar sein.
- Bethany (8/5): Relaxing stay at a luxury resort - The property itself is beautiful and ABSOLUTELY HUGE. The villas are up on a hill overlooking the Nile, but the lower part of the property does go right along the edge of the Nile. You can rent great electric bikes for $5 per day or you can call reception to be picked up and taken wherever you want to go via golf cart. Landscaping is gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was so amazing, including options for all different types of diets. Everything we ate was delicious, whether a la carte or the dinner buffet. The staff who work the restaurants are the absolute best, always checking to see if they can help with any little thing and asking if you’re enjoying the food. The room was clean and very comfortable with a view of the Nile. Shower was the best! Strong water pressure. The provided shampoo, conditioner and body soap also felt very high quality and smaller wonderful. The 4 infinity pools are very well designed, especially the one near the pool nutrition bar. Water is a bit cold but that is ok during the hot Egypt days. There a kids pool, as well. The pool is surrounded by luxurious lounge chairs and macrame hammock chairs and umbrellas. There is also a ping pong table, pool table and air hockey table nearby. My husband and I were with our 1.5 year old son and were delighted to find that there is not only a boat-shaped playground but also an indoor kids area with toys and craft supplies, etc. BUT the best part is you can actually leave your child there for a while with caretakers while you go out and enjoy a moment kid-free! This was such a meaningful service for my husband and I to have some adult time. They are open 10-6. The receptionist who received us gave us her WhatsApp number and was available to help with anything we needed. She even helped us order a delivery from the pharmacy and grocery store so we didn’t have to leave the resort. My biggest issue with this resort was that not all advertised services and amenities are available yet as they are still somewhat new. The Zen Promenade is not up and running. The dentist was not open yet at the time I was there. The included yoga in the morning and meditation in the evening was only available 1 of the 4 days I was there, and it wasn’t communicated to me that it wouldn’t be taking place until I’d already arrived to the class. The app doesn’t work to order room service. Anything that is not yet 100% functional should not be advertised, as those things are part of what led me to the decision of booking a room. Also, the Wi-Fi was not the best, even at our villa. I often had to share internet from my phone to use WiFi on my laptop. Though the food was delicious and high quality, I felt it was overpriced, considering I was in Egypt. Dinner buffet is $25. A la carte at the Wellbeing Lounge or Pool Nutrition Bar were our best option for something more affordable (but still expensive for Egypt). We never went to the Juzoor restaurant because it was pricey and not close to our room.

Dina, one of the staff was super kind & help to accommodate my requests throughout my stay with them. Her colleague, Mirna also helps me to rent bicycles for us to cycling around the resort (the area was huge!). From the day we entered the resort until check out, both of them were pleasant and extremely kind to us. To the management, please give them promotion!!! Eine genaue Beschreibung, wo die diversen Angebote stehen, ist zwingend, denn die Anlage ist riesig und es hat keinen Plan, wo man sich orientieren kann. (mindestens im Zimmer sollte so ein Plan sein) Keinen Aufzug für 3 Stockwerke finde ich mühsam. Wenn man die Koffer schon selber tragen muss, denn es hilft niemand.

The resort is huge next to the Nile river and all the facilities are well managed. It was my best hospitality experience in my life. Especially Dina, working at the reception, was almost my sincere butler. Communication with Whatsapp makes everything possible. They are truly an expert on treating clients well. Le personnel est au petit soin pour nous, en particulier Dina avec qui nous avons été en relation tout le long du séjour, qui nous accompagnés avec beaucoup d’attention et de gentillesse. Grâce à elle tout nous a été facilité et nous avons passé un très bon séjour.
