• Kwanhyeon (4/5): Disappointing - The room was very spacious. Although I checked in early in the morning, the staff handled everything properly and I was able to check in without any issues. There was a small mouse in the room, which is absolutely unacceptable. I've stayed in quite a few dirty places before, so I decided to stay anyway, but I’m sure any other guest would want to leave as soon as they saw a mouse. Payment could only be made in cash. There are so many hotels in Istanbul that choosing one is difficult, and I will never stay at this hotel again.
• Nop (3/5): Poor - - I booked this hotel for 2 nights, but the second night was cancelled unexpectedly. This caused a lot of stress as we had to find a new place to stay at the last minute. Although the location is not far from Taksim Square, reaching the hotel was very difficult. The area is full of steep hills, and pulling our suitcases uphill was exhausting. I would not recommend staying here if you have luggage or mobility concerns. The room we were given was located in the basement. The air felt damp, especially from the bathroom, which clearly had poor ventilation. It made the room uncomfortable to stay in. The surrounding environment was also not great. The hotel is located in a very narrow alley with a poor atmosphere, and the neighborhood felt uncomfortable overall. I would not choose this hotel again.
• Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - Location is very Good, Just 300 meter from Taksim Square and the owner is very Good, He is Pakistani Guy and his Hospitality is very Good Recommended 👍
• Ifeta (4/5): Good price but at a price - The reception employee Kasim was very helpful and was always available to message for any questions or help, he also helped us change our rooms on the last two nights after a bad experience in our original room. The WiFi also worked well and it was close to a central area. The price is very cheap, so if you get a room upstairs it’s quite expected for the price, but do not stay in the basement room. The room we were given was in the basement with a door that opened directly onto the street. It was always very noisy outside at all hours of the night (including a fight one evening) and the door let through most of the noise. Furthermore, it was always very damp inside and it made all of our clothes wet. The room itself was also quite cold which was a bad combination with the wet clothes 🥲. Upon flushing the toilet, water would exit from the pipes and the bathroom floor was always wet because of that reason. The bathroom door also didn’t close. There were also ants everywhere in the room. On the second day of our stay our door was spray painted for some reason, which led to us having to smell the chemical fumes and leave the door open for air. On the last two nights of our stay, one employee (kasim) helped us change rooms to move upstairs. The room upstairs was much nicer with no dampness and no issue with the toilet. Our stay would’ve been much better if we had a room upstairs to start with, the basement room seems to just be the worst room in the hotel and must be avoided.

The rooms were impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly hospitable and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I particularly appreciated the personalized service and the helpful recommendations for local eateries and attractions. I highly recommend Taksim Otto Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay in Istanbul. I look forward to returning on my next visit!
