Kathryn (4/5): Not Enjoyable - It was spacious Cleanness. Mould on main bed doona cover Blood on spare doona in cupboard. Bin not washed after previous tennent. Extremely bad smell and liquid in bottom. Stains on couch Open mouse baits in the bathroom on the floor in full view. Very noisy pipes amd walls very thin.can hear every movement of neighbours Left 3 days early as was very disappointing

Hayley (7/5): Lovely location and plenty of space. Wasn’t what I was expecting from though from the advertising and for the price. - Location was great. Lots of kitchen appliances which made dinners and breakfast easy. Lifts were not working which apparently was advertised at the time of booking, although I didn’t see it and was told via email a few days before we arrived. One of the basin taps in the bathroom was detached and not in use. Apartment is tidy but has a lot of cockroaches in the bedrooms and ensuite bathroom.

Jason (8/5): We enjoyed the pool, the nearby beach and the quiet location, just a short drive away from the GC. - Location was great. Very close to the beach. Not busy like the Gold Coast which was less than an hour away. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of living space and a very well kitted out kitchen. Lots of basic staples which made it easier to cook. Pool was fantastic for the kids (providing you don't make too much noise). BBQ facilities very good in the pool area. Easy to navigate carpark. Very onerous body corporate. Lots of rules. And rules for the rules to make sure the rules were always followed. I understand the need to protect the property, but they added a fear factor that we would be kicked out for any indiscretion! Perhaps that's what they are going for... Just remember, this is not a holiday resort, it is a private apartment complex. One permanent resident leaned over the balcony and yelled at some of the kids (not mine, luckily for him) who were splashing in the pool. They weren't being unsafe, or jumping in etc, they were just having fun. And it was 5:30pm, so certainly not at an unreasonable hour! Also the lift in the building did not work. We were on the second floor so had to trudge up and down many flights of stairs to the underground carpark with suitcases etc. A bit of a pain, but great for the cardio! Not great if you have mobility issues.

Anthea (10/5): Great location, amazing pool, comfiest bed and couches. Would definitely recommend for a family! - The location was great for a family. A couple of minutes walk to the beach (if that), a few blocks from the shops and such beautiful surrounds. Casuarina Beach (the closest beach) has beautiful white sand and clear water, absolutely stunning! Nothing that we didn’t like, it was fantastic.

Just felt the room could have been a little bit more minimised. - The property itself was very good When I booked the room, I booked for adults a 3-year-old and two under the age one and the apartment was not set up for children. It just was not ideal. Too much stuff that we had to move out of the reach of the children. It was very stressful

Heys (9/5): Will be returning! - Picked the keys up from holiday management co in Kingscliff and staff were friendly and polite. Pool was so lovely and only a very short walk from the beach. Coles and a few other shops 3 min drive and Kingscliff extremely close. Apartment was beautifully furnished and spacious, would definitely return. The lift unfortunately didn’t work when you tried to get in it in the basement and on level 2 which was frustrating when coming back with groceries etc so we actually didn’t utilise the car park as much as we would have otherwise. We had a cyclone recently and we believe the furniture had yet to be moved up to the terrace so it was completely bare up there and crammed on the verandah but overall still good experience
Christina (7/5): A stay with 4 people - The location was good, and the pool access from our room was great. Size of apartment was perfect for our family. Close to shops. While it was clean to look at, certain things needed a deeper clean. Some of the bedding needs to be updated.
Clare (8/5): Very good - Pool was excellent and our room having access straight to the pool from the deck was fantastic! A lot of house rules that can be hard to stay true to when you have children who want to have fun in the pool.

Wu (8/5): I like the apartment, but not the management. Most the dislikes I listed above is due to poor manang - 1. generous bathroom and shower space with removable shower head 2. Good cooking equipment such as gas cooktop, wooden cutting board, iron frypan, reasonable knives 3. direct access to the swimming pool from apartment balcony 4. spacious living room 5. There are two car parking space 6. cling wrap, foil and sandwich bags are supplied, very considerate. 7. Free wifi 8. The window shutters are elegant. 1. It is dirty: ceilings are covered with dust, especially along the vent path; the floor is sticky to walk on; the room smells musty, the dishes weren't clean (some of the wine glasses weren't cleaned at all) 2. Lack of storage cupboard space in the kitchen. Too much kitchen stuff. Can use a de-clutter, only keep those essentials. 3. We were only given one set of the keys for an apartment sleeps 6 at check-in and was told there isn't second set of keys. Next day when we made complaint, another set of keys were given but no garage access, even though the parking for the apartment is two cars. 4. Key collection is too far 5km away from the apartment. On top of it, at check-out, you have to return the key to there too rather than simply leaving the keys in the apartment. 5. Poor management. Management staff is not responsive and is not knowledgeable about the apartment. I sent a message to the management staff, no one returned my message. 6. Too stingy on the kitchen towel, only supply 1. At least there should be 2. 7. Only 2 laundry sachet. Can be little more generous. 8. There isn't fly-screen door from the living room to the balcony. Can use one. 9. Poor maintenance. The bathtub plug is already disintegrated and the bathtub silicon seal (where the bathtub join the wall) has separated from the surface and nobody has noticed it or care about it. I had to make a temporary plug with kitchen foil to take a bath. If the bathtub seal is not replaced soon, there would be leaking and mould problems. 10. The mattresses are saggy. Need new mattresses

Dhar (8/5): A perfect location to holiday, rest and unwind. The apartment has everything you’d need and expect. - Well appointed unit, great location and facilities. We’ve stayed in 3 different DRIFT apartments, all have been lovely. We plan to return again. There was sand all over the lounge and master bed on arrival. Outdoor chairs could do with replacing otherwise it was very good.

Vanessa (1/5): Mismanaged by Holiday Management Co. Disheartening, disappointing, misleading, unpleasant overall - Misleading: The actual resort itself was lovely. Not located in Kingscliff as advertised. Ratings are not based on each individual apartment so be aware which apartment you are booking and what apartment reviews are referring to. We booked based on rating/reviews 9/10 and images shown. Apartment no. booked was not confirmed in booking confirmation. Apartment 34 was of unacceptable standard: dirty, unhygienic, unclean, mouldy, stained/unwashed/ and or soiled linen/quilt/pillows/underlay, old/uncomfortable bedding/ pillows- offensive odour throughout. Every draw/cupboard unclean/dusty/dirty, utensils not useable. Images of property misleading-No dining table inside apartment, ground floor level images shown. Holiday Management Co. mismanaged the property: failed to ensure property was fit for purpose, not responsive to emails/concerns/ no solution provided for over 20 hours.. As a result we were forced to find our own accommodation and informed staff we would leave the property and requested a full refund at check-out. Holiday Management Co. did not cancel our booking at check-out (as requested) and have charged 14 nights stay. No refund has been provided for the 12 nights apartment was unoccupied (total cost over 8K- $600 + per night). Annual holiday with family disrupted and loss of trust and confidence in Holiday Management Co. A phone call from Management as soon as our concerns were raised, expressing their apologies for placing a family in this situation and providing an immediate and suitable solution would have been all that was needed. A very unfortunate experience which could have easily been avoided if Holiday Management Co. ensured property was fit for purpose prior to arrival and showed care, concern, compassion, empathy and a willingness to attend to our needs in a timely manner, when concerns were raised. We pray bookings.com can resolve this situation for our family and future guests.

The reception drops at some places but that is entirely due to the location of the - The pool was directly accessible from the balcony which was a nice touch giving off Bali vibes. The property was clean. The fans in the bedrooms were very thoughtful. The wifi was fast. The master bedroom could however use a smart tv like in the other rooms. keep the doors closed at night as roaches tend to come out and can get inside the property because there’s no screen door.

The amount of seating to relax in the apartment. The ability to swim in the pool from the balcony. The neighbour did not appreciate too much noise. Although the security was great you had to go through 2 gates and the front door to get into the apartment which was difficult when carrying items. There was only 1 set of keys for the 3 bedroom apartment.
