Na een aantal keren gebeld te hebben, met verschillende telefoons in de hoop dat er opgenomen zou worden (we konden niets inspreken, voicemail was vol), werden we na 15 minuten teruggebeld en kregen we de toegangscode. Restaurant was niet open.

Would not recommend this hotel - It was close to an event I had to attend and the lady who served me was nice The uncleanliness of the bathroom and whole room, 2 of the towels had dirt on them therefore not clean, lack of lighting outside, unable to use the heating, the many ants in my bed when I woke up in the morning, the fan that was provided was absolutely filthy and unhygienic. I contacted the property the next day and still have not had a response a week later

Tried 3 times - door finally opened... someone in there. Tried a room that looked empty close by ( texted wrong digit?)...no success, someone in there as well. Nearly 10pm & Reception about to close but got there and got correct room number. Packed the car and started driving, phone rang - they'd given us ANOTHER wrong room number! Finally the next one was correct and we stumbled into our room.

We even saw small cockroaches on the kitchen cabinet and around the fridge, which was very unpleasant. The cleanliness was far below an acceptable standard and it made the stay uncomfortable.

Very very old and in need of some TLC, proper deep cleaning, tidy up and a refresh. Could turn it into a great school camp with some investment.

Uncomfortable bed, flat pillows (and one pillow per person, we had to use a folded up blanket underneath them), shower water was either scalding hot or freezing cold, no remote for air con so we had to stand on a chair to use it. Only one drinking glass for 2 people. Walls are thin so we could hear everything (including kid running around the corridors til 11pm)

- Oldham (8/5): - The location was excellent to explore the area. The room was situated in a quiet area of the complex. I am reluctant to be critical as the complex does require considerable maintenance. The shower sliding door requires fixing does not slide. Basic supplies such as Cups and cutlery needs to better maintained. We fortunately carry some items with us.

The property is run down and the set up of the room was unusual ie bathroom sink located next to small kitchen . Run down and untidy. Got the sense that the property must have been empty for a while and a family is now running the business who don’t have any idea on what to do.

- Howard (9/5): Happy - I arrived at 11.30 pm in the pouring rain cold, soaking and muddy on a bikepacking trip (The Hunt 1000 in Feb 2026). Reception was closed but I called them expecting them not to answer. They came and booked me in depiste being so late Theywere very friendly and not annoyed at being called so late.

The garden area to sit in the shade to eat & drink we're very relaxing. Value was probably matched with price. Dishes & cutlery could have been better present. A tea towel / dish cloth & detergent would have been good to have had. There were a few cobwebs around, particularly the bathroom. Mosquitoes still got in the room even with window screen. Presentation of the property could be a bit more appealing with a bit of gardening and lawns mowed.

- Melissa (5/5): It was ok - Once I complained about the room we were given the staff on the desk were lovely and changed us to a much more modern room with air conditioning but car parking was limited in a 4wd. The first room we were allocated to had no air conditioning and it was a really hot night. There was no fly screens and plenty of bugs. No fan to circulate air. It was dingy and outdated.
