- Jasmine (9/5): Cozy, magical place to stay - This apartment is so cozy and magical. The host was lovely. She has great taste in art — there were several gorgeous painting throughout the apartment that we loved. We were overall quite comfortable here. The bathroom is very tiny and outdated. It stays pretty damp after a shower. Everything else about the apartment was great.
- René (9/5): C’était très beau. -
- Tara (10/5): This place is a nature lovers dream. The yard is beautiful, the apartment was very clean and the host was friendly. When - Everything! That we couldn’t stay longer.
- Lynda (8/5): We will book it again when returning for annual 4th Line theatre visit. - The kitchen was a real bonus, full stove, small table to eat at. Furniture is dated but still very comfy.
- Cristina (10/5): It is my 1st choice anytime Im going to Peterborough. Very cozy and cute corner! -
- John (10/5): Lovely Apt. in Peterborough - Margaret, the owner was exceptional. It was freezeing rain when we arrived and she greeted us by sanding the areas from the car to the apt. On leaving she did the same and kindly helped to scrap the ice off the car. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee maker & goodies, the bed was cozy and warm. Would highly recommend it. Many steps to get to the entrance and mor inside the apt. so no suitable for those with mobility issues.

- Comeau (10/5): Burleigh's Greenhouse Executive Suite is delightful! Beautiful place! - We loved our host, Margaret and the beautiful, immaculate little apartment with lovely furnishings and art! The shower was delightful too! We appreciated the lovely series of unique gardens to wander through as well as the stories about Theresa, the turkey! We ate our takeout dinner on a little balcony overlooking the back gardens. Margaret’s greenhouse is full of beautiful exotic plants. There is no continental breakfast but just down the road within sight is a great breakfast spot! Travelers coming in need to be careful in pulling into the greenhouse parking lot as it is at the very top of a hill and shows up quickly on Google Maps. Other than using extra caution turning, you will be rewarded with a refreshing and relaxing stay at this wonderful treasure of a place!
- Phillip (8/5): - Great quirky place with amazing garden. Handyfor town. On the side of a very busy road - always noisy
- Catherine (9/5): - Friendly, clean, location, good value Shower head should be replaced as it's not working as it should.
- Alan and Susan (10/5): - Comfortable. Felt like a vist to Grandmas house. I stay again.
- Keitha (5/5): - Provided biscuits Stairs do not have a proper railing - unable wrap hand around 3/4 of stairs
TV set up didn’t work
Put stove on extreme smell came out - looked clean likely mouse nest in back or underneath
- Serban (9/5): It was pleasant. - Not applicable The air conditioning was limited to the living room.
- Mikayla (10/5): -
- BlueMonkey (8/5): A comfy, upstairs apartment, perfect for a short stay - Margaret is a friendly, outgoing, and very helpful host. The entire apartment is comfortable and well appointed, with a lovely view over the back garden from the balcony off the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and Margaret even left a small quantity of fresh milk in the fridge to have with our coffee and tea in the morning. Overall, a delightful stay.

The kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook for yourself. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Would be very happy to stay here again. Everything was good.
- NURIA (10/5): nice garden and cose to kawartha lakes - Very friendly owner, made everything easy and cozy for us, the garden sorrounding the house is amazing and the appartment has the perfect tools for a night nothing in particular, everything was fine

- MIROSLAW (10/5): super bonne ! -
- Debra (10/5): Feels like coming home - we’ll be back! - It’s very charming and private. Margaret and her staff are so lovely and welcoming. The gardens at the back are filled with birds and rabbits (and Theresa the turkey 😉). The apartment is very clean and cozy. Loved it all.
- Kenagh (10/5): Great place - Lovely wee place with everything you need, felt like a home from home. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the gardens were absolutely stunning.
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional - Great place, great people. I highly recommend spending some time here
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - The place was great, in a nice location, though not walkable to downtown, which is okay. It's on top of a garden centre with a great yard. Very cozy and nice hosts.
Make sure you let them know what time you are coming for instructions. We were there when the garden centre was open so it was easy for us, but could be tricky if you arrive late at night.
- Gingrich (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lana (9/5): Superb - We stayed for two nights at Burleys Gardens and Suite and absolutely loved it. It’s a cute, cozy house that feels very welcoming. The owner, Margaret, is such a warm, kind, and thoughtful lady — she really made us feel at home. The peaceful garden setting added to the charm. We would happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting it!
- Antian (9/5): I would recommend to my friends - Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable, beautiful view, close to lake, easy shuttle to the village
- Gingrich (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (9/5): Very comfortable, enjoyable and homey. - Lovely setting combining with a nursery business . Extremely quiet. Apartment felt like someone's home, very comfortable. Couldn't get TV to work - too late at night to ask hosts.
- Gayl (8/5): I would be happy to stay again -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - This property is beautiful, I highly recommend a stay here. Lovely accommodations with great views, a lovely garden and store for plant lovers.
- Marie (9/5): Warm welcome and great service. - Very cozy place and extra clean.
- Cristelita (10/5): Great deal for your money. - Home away from
home very cozy vibe.Very clean.Excellent hosts. Welcome tea/coffee/croissants/jam a yummy bonus. Lots of towels. Great books/magazines to read. I can just imagine its beauty in summer. The TV keeps freezing. But maybe it's not their fault but the wifi provider's.
- Michelle (10/5): Comfortable, pleasant stay with an exceptional host. - Host was very friendly, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Bonus to have a garden centre there. Water pressure in the shower, but I understand they are on a well and septic. Not a real issue.
- Anne (10/5): I'm so glad I came here for a break on my way home to Pembroke from Toronto. - The hostess met me at the door when I arrived to let me in. I had just arrived at Pearson from England and was not up for any challenges. I was so glad getting in was so easy, the sofa so comfy, everything so clean and accessible. Great sleep in a wonderful bed and shower in the morning with big, soft towels. Then what a treat to find fresh baked croissants, home made preserves, robust coffee and fresh milk for breakfast. Location was great, too coming from Toronto and easy find on Television road from the highway. To settle up I went into the garden shop and that was a greenhouse all fragrant and warm. All in all a great place to stop. Can't think of anything. It was great.
- Beth (10/5): Perfect cozy little space to rest - Peaceful, clean, spacious, a little apartment basically - one bedroom, sweet small living room space with everything you need - window side book book bench Nothing - I really enjoyed this space and will stay here again
- Franky (10/5): Cottage in the city ✨🐦🕊️ - It was like staying at an adorable cottage. I am so looking forward to returning in the summer. Lots of excellent bird watching even in the winter. The fireplace was so cozy and the jet tub was a treat. A welcome departure from all the reno-victed grey messes on air BNB. Antique charm at every corner. Margaret was friendly ☺️ That we couldn't stay longer! So relaxing to have a change of scenario for Valentine's Day. We watched a dvd, had some charcuterie in the sweet little kitchen and enjoyed the birds.
- Sarah (10/5): Clean and cozy stay - We stayed here last minute in anticipation for a bad storm and it was lovely. Margaret was so sweet and she left us some coffee, water and baked goods upon our arrival and she even left us a little bit of milk for our coffee.
The apartment was cute, comfortable and quiet—perfect for studying. Very clean. The living room had a charming vintage feel. While some areas of the apartment showed its age, it was incredibly cozy and comfortable, making for a very pleasant stay :)) the cute little lights outside at night also were very nice additions to the inviting atmosphere The shower showed its age but overall I have no true complaints :)
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narezny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (8/5): This is a cozy, comfortable suite in a convenient location. - We appreciated the tea, coffee, milk, butter and homemade treats. Margaret went above and beyond to locate an item we had left behind and ensure it was returned.
- Anthony (10/5): Lovely stay for 2 nights - Very cosy and comfortable Nothing
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Homey and comfortable with everything we needed for a very affordable price! - Margaret was welcoming and friendly. The suite had a comfortable bed and couch. Everything was very homey and immaturely clean. Margaret had left a plate of homemade cookies in the kitchen to welcome us. No breakfast was included but we had an excellent and very affordable breakfast at Chef Basel’s which was a two minute walk down the road. Dragging my heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs.
- Jody (7/5): The host was personable and accommodating. She was there to greet us upon arrival. The apartment was cute and private. T - The host was very nice and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the place was private. The place had a slight mildew smell which transferred to our bed clothes and pillows we brought. The water was rusty and dark yellow. The place advertised being a bed and breakfast along with many recent reviews stating such but when we arrived there was a note saying “due to rising coats breakfasts are no longer included” which was one of the deciding factors for choosing Burley’s.
- Alan (8/5): Very comfortable accommodations, conveniently located. - The facilities were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and our host provided coffee, tea and water. Aside from the road noise, which we appreciate is out of the owner's control, it was very quiet. The gas fireplace was broken but our host provided an electric backup, which came in handy one particularly cold wet day. We didn't tour the garden center and grounds this trip, but have in the past. They are both very nice. We missed the breakfasts that had been provided in the past. Apparently they were discontinued as a cost saving measure. The facilities are functional and clean, however the water pressure was terrible for the first few days of our stay. We were later told, it was an issue with the well water levels. Some prior notice would have been appropriate.
- Stephen (8/5): Margaret's place is very charming with gardens in the back and the inside space was very comfortable - The water pressure seemed rather lacking but serviceable.
- Anthony (10/5): Worth a longer stay. - Excellent value and comfort, with all the amenities of home. Friendly host and staff, central location.
Love the garden and the nursery full of indoor tropical plants. Can't think of any.
- Catharina (10/5): Hospitality & accommodation were exceptional. We should have stayed longer. :) - We thought we were getting one of three rooms but actually had a three room apartment. There is a lovely flower boutique/garden on the property. We enjoyed walking around the gardens and had a great stay. Our host was friendly and very helpful. No complaint about Burleys Executive Suites at all. There was a bit of congestion on Television Rd due to holiday weekend traffic.
- Judi (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good - Lovely view over the garden. Birds singing ! Dissapointed by the lack of breakfast.
I had been there many times before and the breakfast provisions created a sense of abundance.
Wi fi was very spotty. I suspect a change of server.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was excellent
- Robert (10/5): We were there only one night but it was great stay and we plan to come back another time. - There was no breakfast but a nice restaurant was nearby (Chef Basel) for all meals. The property is a very cute, private suite with a small kitchen for self-catering and a living room with comfy chairs for relaxation. You just need to know that it's out of town a little ways. It's a very convenient spot, though, for visits to the canoe museum as well as for getting on the cycling trail running north south on the east side of the river.
- Carol (8/5): Very good - Location. You have a cute one bedroom apt. Little balcony with chairs and birds chirping was lovely.
Very friendly and helpful hostess and other staff. A place to store our bikes! Bedroom was stuffy. The balcony chairs need cushions.
- Joan (9/5): Superb -
- Bernhard (5/5): Passable - The room is under the in a house accessible by several stairs to the entrance door and then up another steep stairwell. I could not face dragging our heavy suitcases up all these stairs.
We did not stay there !! All these stairs, since I am 86 years old.
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the place, from the quietness to the back garden full of diversity was absolutely great, but it all paled when compared to the kindness and simpathy of the lady who hosted us, of whom i sadly forgot the name (And I really shouldn't, since she was so nice...)
Also a word for Mathew, who kindly volunteered to help us take our luggage up the stairs.
Loved our stay. Only stayed for a night... :-).
- Barbara (9/5): Great place to stay when in Peterborough area and very good value. - Lovely selection of breakfast food for us to use - especially liked the fresh fruit.
- Abigail (6/5): Pleasant -
- Barbara (9/5): Great friendly and helpful hosts and lovely quiet location in garden setting. - Good selection of breakfast items including fresh fruit.
- Joan (8/5): Very good - Fridge contained fresh eggs, bacon, milk and orange juice so I could make my own breakfast which is what I preferred.
Suite was nicely furnished, comfy bed and quiet location overlooking backyard gardens
- D.g. (9/5): we're happy that we stayed there and will recommend it to friends and family coming to Peterbprpugh. - The people who own this property are wonderful. They love doing this. They're natural hosts. can't find any faults.
- Brenda (8/5): Margaret was a lovely woman and we would definitely stay there again for an overnight stop enroute. - An excellent continental breakfast. Had the breakfast out on the balcony overlooking the outstanding gardens. A beautiful, quiet private way to start the day. I have a mobility issue and we didn't realize the entrance to the apartment was at the top of a very steep flight of stairs without a railing to hang on to. We figured out a way how to navigate them and other than that the apartment was the perfect place for an overnight start to our short weekend away.
- Kenneth (8/5): Perfectly satisfactory, for the price. - Quiet, well furnished, pleasant owners. Good choice of breakfasts. Several flights of somewhat tight stairs, though Marge helped us navigate upstairs. As many B&Bs, a bit t quirky but overall, quite pleasant,
- Lina (8/5): Nice stay , lovely host but very humid smell. - It is a very cute and cozy little apartment. We loved everything. It has a great coffee machine and there are lots of other supplies available. The only little downside was that the whole apartment smelled very humid. It did bother us, but it might not other people. Otherwise it was superb!
- Jim (8/5): Great location, great hosts! Very comfortable! - People were great, property lovely Found the the very musty and needed a dehumidifier to dry out the space
- Dorothy (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): Fantastic - Lots of flowers, Margaret and Bob were super host and I will go out of my way to come back in the future!
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arunas (8/5): Pleasant. -
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dave (8/5): Very good -
- Francee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Barrett (9/5): The place to go to feel right at home! - Margret made our stay very comfortable! The fresh eggs and bacon were perfect along with juice and so many other goodies! Definitely will be back again if in the area
- Mary (10/5): All the comforts of home in a convenient location. - This is a lovely, comfortable apartment with a gas fireplace in the living room. Margaret supplies the ingredients for a very good breakfast, and even brought us a plate of Christmas cookies for our afternoon tea. Travellers should be aware that there are steps to climb both inside and outside the apartment. The apartment is about 10 minutes' drive to downtown, but it is on a busy road. We were not bothered at all by road noise, but some might be.
- Joyce (9/5): I wish I could have stayed longer. - It felt cozy
- Sonya (10/5): Lovely cozy spot in a great location - Lovely cozy spot with everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Location was perfect for us, Margaret a gracious host with a beautiful garden. We had a lovely time. Nothing
- Debbie (10/5): Wonderful Spot - We loved the friendly welcome, the very clean space, and the breakfast foods left for us. It was quiet and peaceful. The livingroom area was comfortable for us to visit with our 2 adult children.
- Ron (10/5): It’s a wonderful get away from the regular hotel rooms and it’s like going to a cozy getaway. - It was lovely. The host Marg was so nice and the property is well kept and for garden lovers it was a good place to see. All good no negative things at all.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great place! - Wonderful set up. Very pleasant host. Love coming here! Nothing. It was wonderful.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
