- Barbara (8/5): A truly unique experience of luxury and ambience, well worth a visit. - This is a beautifully renovated old church retaining features and architecture while at the same time creating a modern and very attractively appointed retreat. The location.
- Glenn (10/5): Fantastic host. Very comfortable place. Will go back there next time. -
- Taylar (10/5): -
- Steve (8/5): - Nicely equipped and clean. Noisy in the morning due to business at rear of property.
- Sandra (8/5): Delightful little cottage. Comfy bed - Cute Needed a few more items - scissors , more crockery , glad wrap, bin bags that sort of stuff
- robert (9/5): Hosts were so helpful and timely in any correspondence. They really have a beautiful building - Well restored church with amazing bathroom, kitchen and living room. Space is amazing. Loved it all. So much room.

- Rosemary (9/5): Clean, roomy, quiet, character stay, good location. - We visited over Christmas and it was a quick stay, so unfortunately there wasn't much open in town and about. But the accommodation was great, roomy and would certainly stay again. The hosts kept us informed with instructions and were most welcoming. It was all great.

Facilities in the property.
Ease of access to and from all the environments. Nothing
- Simone (9/5): Unique stay in a beautiful building - Unique experience and Andrea was very helpful. Didn’t have hot water for the first night which was a gas company error and we were able to rectify. The property is a considerable distance from the main street in Broken Hill and could be difficult if you don’t have a car. However if you need a taxi in Broken hill on a weekend we recommend Peter from 13Cabs.
- Greg (10/5): Fabulous! - The size and pleasantness and cleanliness of the accommodation. Everything was well explained and catered for. The air conditioning control was confusing.
- Flourish Australia (10/5): -
- Heather (9/5): -
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional Hostess, and accomodation, beyond expectation - Pre-arrival contact via txt to phone was very clear. Undercover parking was a plus. A reading light in lounge would be the only beneficial 'extra'. Historical, stunning property....
- Edwin (10/5): Highly recommend! Get yourself to church! ;-) - Awesome stay, we stayed in the Minister quarters and it was nice and cosy. Modern bathroom and amenities mixed with the church charm. Nothing
- Bianca (9/5): Superb - Quaint property. -

- Doriana (8/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable beds with lovely Linen.
In the south of Broken Hill near Patton village. To far from town so needed to drive around
- Jane (9/5): A perfect place to stay for a few days in Broken Hill. - Comfort and private Na
- Ian (10/5): Broken Hill Gem - Loved the authenticity of the property, and it is so well appointed. We had to private families and were able to spend time together as well for meals. everything was fine
- Lesley (8/5): Very good - A lovely unusual place to stay. The hosts were extremely helpful making sure that we had all the information we needed and providing helpful tips on where to go and what to do. We really enjoyed the extra space of a living room and kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The place was very good. Nothing that we didn't like.
- Nathan (10/5): Home away from home. - Great for a family. Secure parking around back. Comfortable home, comfortable beds. Great facilities.
- Judith (9/5): Superb - very spacious and comfortable stay with all the facilities.
- Kerry (8/5): Very good - The cottage is a lovely place to stay, it was clean and comfortably and for us was the perfect location and I would highly recommend. Dealing with owners was pleasant. However I do want people to be aware that even throu its says 2 bedroom if you use the 2nd bedroom there is an extra cost and that should be mentioned when actually booking. My sister and I booked because we like our own rooms but when I mentioned it they said oh that is extra if you use the 2nd bedroom which I found very odd.
- William (8/5): Loved broken hill - It was fun to stay in a church 😊 not problem there was no soap 😳
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaoru (9/5): Memorable experience in the Outback. - This is a beautiful cottage with spacious rooms and a super comfy bed. The rooms are super clean, and the furniture adds outback vibes to the bedroom. Very close to the town and the hosts are lovely. Thank you very much. None
- Annette (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): We had a good time in BH - Location. Cleanliness. Facilities The washing machine didn’t work - we were given access to another one
The switch to turn on the cooker took us Brit’s ages to find
The old broken air con equipment is still in place and had us fooled for a while
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): A relaxing and comfortable place with everything you need for a getaway. - The cottage was just perfect - so comfortable, quiet and relaxing. We particularly appreciated being able to stay with our two dogs. Great location just a short walk to coffee and a lovely park. Nothing.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Greyrose (10/5): Cosy comfort in Broken Hill - The Church stay was in a lovely heritage location near Patton St. The 1950's diner was lively but we didn't get to visit as it was closed. Petrol and convenience stores were close at hand and driving into town was easy. The Presbytery was decorated with big comfortable Chesterfield lounges and other antique-style furniture. Using the air fryer and induction cooker was a bonus as taking a break from store-bought food was nice. Other neighbours were not able to be heard. The bed was big and comfortable and the airconditioning a blessing as it had just started to get hot. There is good water pressure in the shower and great heat. Locating keys and instructions were easy to follow and the host made sure we knew which part of the premises we had booked as she mentioned the website could be a bit confusing. Checked in to see we were settled and all going to plan.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (8/5): Very good -
- Glenda (10/5): Exceptional - Lots of room. Big bathroom. Comfortable bed
- Moore (9/5): Superb -

- Jody (10/5): It is true something you have to experience - It’s a wonderful memory that we will have forever Everything, once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommended
- Alan (9/5): Come share in this lovely home 🏡 too. - Communication was excellent with an added bonus of a call to make sure check in went extremely well. A lovely home to share and great location to local shops. Crisp and clean linen with the addition of toiletries to boot. A very welcome addition of an airer to hang clothes out to dry in the sunshine. Unfortunately, there was only 1 stool at the breakfast bar.
- Cluning (8/5): Very good -
- Nathan (9/5): Quirky charm - N/A
- Belinda (10/5): Fab hosts, quiet location and clean! - A fantastic location. Quiet. Very comfortable. Fab hosts. Really responsive and helpful. They even posted me my forgotten belongings!!
- Fiona (10/5): Warm and comfortable :) -
- Pamela (10/5): A perfect and relaxed environment - loved being self sufficient and having opportunity to eat in. - Location great, a few minutes to anywhere. The cottage was sparkling with everything we needed in the kitchen. Warm, comfortable lounge room - lovely beds and linen.
- Barrie (10/5): Exceptional - There was a Monty Python saying "And now for something completely different" which describes the elegance of the Broken Hill Outback Church Stay. The two of us stayed in the luxurious Rectory which was perfect. However our advice is to travel to Broken Hill as a group to stay in the renovated Church. It is amazing.
- Nathan (10/5): A home away from home - character
- Slattery (9/5): Superb - Bed was fantastic, place was spotless and spacious. Noise was minimal and parking was good being off street and undercover.
- Kerri (10/5): Excellent service and facilities - A lovely little stay, very quiet. and a short drive from town. We stayed at the Presbytery Cottage -it was clean, cozy and the bed was very comfortable.,Kitchenette had everything we required for a 4 night stay - hot plate, air fryer and we had a BBQ as requested. Also laundry facilities on site. The hosts were very attentive checking in to see we had everything required for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. nothing
- Annette (9/5): We had come to broken hill intending to spend the week and have a good look about - Location was good - reasonably quiet re road noise.
Property was lovely and a great deck to sit out in warmer months.
Good heating, comfy bed, great bathroom and excellent cooking facilities for a kitchenette. TV reception and internet access also excellent.
- Shirley (10/5): We really enjoyed the unit and everything it had to offer - Location was good. We had our own kitchen so creating meals was easy. The venue was excellent. My friend and I had our own rooms plus kitchen, dining area, lounge room and. Bathroom.
- Kylie (10/5): Superb, leisurely and wishing - The Church Stay is an oasis in the outback. A beautiful space within walking distance of the famous milk bar. Each room has its own ensuite and the downstairs area invites you to sit, enjoy and truly relax.
- Louise (10/5): Out of the ordinary accommodation - Clean, comfortable and quiet No bottle opener
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay. A great base to explore a fascinating historical city & region. Lots of highlights but the - Clean comfortable & well presented in very accessible location Would have liked a few more “basic” items to facilitate cooking. or salt & pepper, cooking oil etc.
- Rod (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (7/5): Clean, simple cottage - Simple little cottage which was what we were looking for. The front exterior could do with a paint and it detracts from the quality church presentation and there were a few minor maintenance issues inside such as the broken sink plug which should be fixed.
- Jennifer (10/5): A little home away from home. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. -
- Dale (8/5): Nice clean and comfortable accommodation. Broken Hill is a very clean and lovely country town with friendly people - Clean, tidy, comfortable N/A
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virginia (10/5): One of the best places I’ve stayed whilst travelling - Everything!! We were so surprised when we we got there it was just amazing, had the whole place to ourselves, couldn’t fault it! There was everything we needed there so we could cook in the kitchen, have a spa and wash our clothes
- Anne-marie (10/5): A great choice for a comfortable stay with loads of character. - We loved the comfortable, quirky, thoughtfully decorated Outback Church Stay Presbytery! It was the perfect size for two people, was well-equipped for the Broken Hill climate (great aircon and a lovely veranda for the odd cool morning and evening), and the bed was super-comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. Andrea was a great host: she made sure everything was in order and was generous with tips for what to see and where to get the best coffee (The Silly Goat 😉). It is located in South Broken Hill, which is somewhat separated from the town centre. It’s not a great distance, but walking would be hard going in the Broken Hill heat! I’m sure there are bus options, though. We had hired a car, so it was no issue at all for us. And the upside is that it’s just a stone’s throw from the famous Bell’s Milk Bar! (It is even closer to the less famous Pepe’s, where you can still buy individual lollies, which took me straight back to my ‘70s childhood 😀.)
- Craig (10/5): A wonderful experience -something different. Exceptionally well restored and quality appointments. - Location, undercover carpark, safe location, really well presented
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Something different in Broken Hill - Quiet street not far from the centre of town. The accommodation next door had a noisy heat pump that ran all night.
- Andrew (10/5): it was great to be greated by Andrea and her husband to find an perfect place fo stay a few days in Broken Hill. Such a - Penty of room. Very comfortable bed and quality sheets etc. Fast WiFi. Everything you need in the cottage. zero
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gwen (9/5): So comfortable, so roomy and loved the outdoor seating to relax on at the end of the day. - Felt like home great decor Would have loved a washing machine/dryer
- Min (10/5): A thoroughly enjoyable cultural experience - Beautiful property that really taps into the heritage of Broken Hill. Well stocked with everything one needs for their stay. Nice and quiet location. Super friendly and helpful hosts. And best of all - pet friendly!
- Alex (10/5): Great place to stay. - The Presbytery was spacious and well furnished. And comfortable.
- Liz (9/5): A very pleasant stay with everything I needed. - Andreas was very helpful beforehand ensuring that I had correct details for the cottage not the church and giving me an alternate contact when she was going to be away. I had a very comfortable stay. It was convenient having a bottle of water in the fridge as the days were quite hot during my stay. The washing machine was handy towards the end of my stay. The heating worked well for the cold nights. These days we all travel with lots of electronic devices. As an older property the number and location of power points could be improved a bit. With my power board I was still able to charge everything I needed.
- Lawrence (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): It was perfect, great facilities and a nice quiet syreet - I loved the layout of the place, being attached to the old church and seeing the brickwork was great. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, and the shower was amazing. A lively patio area to sit in in the evenings and have a BBQ. There was nothing we didn't like. We were very happy there, it was as described. There was plenty of kitchen utensils etc. It was so peaceful at night.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful little cottage with everything you need. The beds were so comfy and the sheets divine .
- Bernadette (9/5): Superb -
