Guest Reviews
- Karen (9/5): Vista hermosa - Me encantó. Cuenta con energía y toma corriente.
- Katherine (8/5): Lindo lugar.
- Gabriele (7/5): Decent but adjust your expectations - The stay at Refugio Nidos del Cóndor Cocora was a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is truly excellent, set in an incredibly beautiful area with easy access to the Cocora Valley, which makes it a great base for exploring the surroundings and expect to wake up to the best view in the area. Main positive point for me.
However, the facilities left quite a lot to be desired. The bathrooms were in very poor condition and felt quite run-down. Dirty, never cleaned, difficult to access and absolutely not comfortable even for the most adventurous travellers. One of the main issues was the lack of warm water, which was particularly uncomfortable given the cold weather in the area. In addition, there are no proper walkable paths within the property, so when it rains, getting around becomes difficult and very muddy. Expect your shoes to get soaked.
Overall, while the setting is a big plus, the lack of basic comfort and maintenance brings the experience down. With some significant improvements to the facilities, this place could live up to its potential. Overpriced in my opinion considered the offer. Would doubt going back to be honest.

- Oscar (9/5): Nice place, great view, far from crowds but close to everything to do in the cocora valley - Breakfast was very good. View was amazing. Room was comfortable but a table inside the room would be nice to have. Staff provided a kit to make a bonfire just in front of the tent which was very nice. Staff was very kind providing info on hiking and horseback riding. We did a 4-hour hike crossing rivers and bridges which was amazing. A table with a chair inside the room would be nice to have. Shared toilets were not so good, rather small and a bit uncomfortable but toilets in the restaurant area were fine.
- Juan Carlos (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): - Excelente, paisaje bien ubicado
- Carolina (8/5): Beautiful Place in Cocora Valley - The location was exceptional, special view of the valley
Just few minutes walk to the centre of the valley, to take pics and enjoy the view
Breakfast included The cold at night, it was too cold and even though they give us 3 blankets, this was not enough :(
- Juana (9/5): Superb -
- Przemysław (5/5): Passable - Very nice town, close to everything First of all, it was because of the death of someone close to me that my partner couldn't be there, she booked a stay where in another place they charged me for one person, and here I paid a different price than my partner ordered over the phone, showers - only cold water, no grass around mown
- Maria (5/5): Passable - Breakfest very good. The camping is locates in a very noisy place with too much light from the restaurants. The valey is beautiful much the camping should be in a more quite place ( lights and noise)
- Angel (9/5): Wonderful place! Views to remember! - A memorable camping experience in Cocora that allowed us to enjoyed the valley in solitued. Amazing morning walk, bird watching and nature. We purposely choose to stay there on Monday to avoid weekend crowd. Tents were very well equipped and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Very early morning campfire was the best! Perfect breakfast in the morning.
- Julio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angel (10/5): A beautiful place to feel close the Cocora Valley while being surrounded by its magnificence. - I loved the surroundings and the service given by people. The tent was also in great shape. I think their food could improve. Not only the quality but also the readiness and professionalism from the cooks.
- Jens (7/5): Nice experience, but not cheap - as it’s only a tent with a mattress insight - Close to Cocora Valley
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cesar (5/5): Not worth the price - Great location and the tent is well prepared. Staff were super helpful and kind. They ask for a cash deposit which is not communicated beforehand. Pricey for the conditions of the toilets, not clean or comfortable and not hot water for the high price paid. Staff leaves the camping at certain time and we were left alone without anyone around in case of an emergency. Dogs are growling during the night and make it scary to go to the toilets, which are far from the camping site.
The restaurant is super expensive and food is just bland. Breakfast is served at 8am, late when you are camping as its more likely to wake up with the sunrise.
Overall is a good idea for accommodation in the area, but there are several aspects that could be improved for the high cost of the stay.
- Iocco (9/5): Superb -
- Luisa (6/5): super nice - the view was amazing and the staff was super kind, and help us out with all our questions the cost vs the facilities. the tent is very nice but the bathroom accommodations could be better for the price.
- Nijady (9/5): nature - the location is unique things are pricey overall (water, snacks, etc).
admission’s right should be applied more strictly, we had noisy drunk neighbours who didn’t let us rest properly. It also damaged the natural vibe from the place.
- Amaury (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Incredible experience but overpriced - The included breakfast was very yummy and the service was great. The location is amazing, and only a short walk to begin the hike! They prepare a fire for you and you can roast marshmellows! The restaurant was pricey in comparison to other places to eat in Salento, as goes for the price of the accomodation itself. The campsite bathrooms were a bit neglected, but as expected at a campsite (the toilets in the restaurant were immaculate).
