Guest Reviews
- Jan (9/5): Very pleasant and peaceful stay - Note that on this property you are very much self reliant, meaning that you wash your own clothes; change your own sheets; cook your own food; do your own cleanup. There is a self check-in and check-out and we didn't meet any staff on site. We found this very convenient and preferable, but it may not be for everybody. What little help we needed we got promptly via booking.com chat.
It is located in a pretty, family friendly neighbourhood that is easily accessible and safe. The nights were surprisingly quiet, enough to make you think you are sleeping out in the country. This was partly due to the strict quiet-hours policy, that was respected and followed by the other guests during our stay.
We stayed in a lower-ground floor room with a door opening to the background garden where birds were singing, creating a cosy little bucolic scene.
I wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone, whether you are traveling alone or with a partner. It is an excellent choice for vacation accommodation and we will be sure to book again, should we find ourselves in London. Running water is quite loud and can be heard from all the rooms across the house, but that is not something the owner can deal with, it's just how these Edwardian houses are.
What, however, could be fixed, are the door hinges making loud, squeaking noises whenever door is opened and closed in the hallway. A little oil might do the trick.
Also, please consider turning off or at least lowering the sounds of the door keyboards. The tapping and voice of "door unlocked" is wholly unnecessary. Light indication would be enough.
- De Gregorio (10/5): Ci ritornerò sicuramente! - La zona super carina, alloggio oltre le mie aspettative, pulizia , letto comodo, accogliente , super confortevole!! Tutto perfetto!

- Miloud (8/5): - Nice and clean, good neighborhood
- Miloud (8/5): - Quite clean Distance to public transport

- Monika (8/5): It was acceptable - I t was close to where I needed to be. Access was easy & secure Lighting in the room was not thought out well. No reading/bedside light. No light control close to the bed.
The bed was too hard (for me) so it was uncomfortable.
The wardrobe should not be a storage area for an incredibly large fan.

- Alberto (10/5): Tutto benissimo, consiglio davvero come struttur!
- Cristian (6/5): Good location, easy access and check in. - Great location, clean. Smell of dumb in the room (next to the bed), sometimes loud noice from some sort of water tank near the room.
------------------------------------------------------
This was my second stay at this property. I chose it again because my first experience was very positive: great location and comfortable facilities. Unfortunately, this time I had a bad experience. On my last night, some guests were partying in the common areas, playing loud music, and smoking marijuana, which affected my room directly. I tried contacting the emergency number (all communication is virtual, and you are asked to call this number only if necessary), but the support was ineffective and I was even told to call the police if I felt unsafe. The issue was only resolved very late, and the next day the place was dirty, with some of my food taken. I was very disappointed by the lack of support from the host, which is a shame because the property itself is nice.

- Marie (5/5): - The hotel staff was very kind during our online communication, and check-in went smoothly without any issues. If you're planning a short stay and mainly need a place to sleep, it's a convenient choice! The buses are nearby and just be aware, metro is not 5 minutes but more like 15, or 10 if you walk fast. However, I was a bit disappointed considering the price I paid I had cancelled a few more affordable options for this one, expecting a better experience. We were given a room in the basement, which was unexpected and made us feel a little confined. Fortunately, there was a door leading to a terrace that made the space more bearable.
The room itself didn’t match the photos I had seen online, but it wasn’t terrible. It was clean, though it had a slightly worn, dated feel. If you're traveling as a couple, be aware that the room only had a foldable table and a single chair, so one person is left with no seating other than the bed.
Walls are very thin and you can hear everything - conversations, doors opening and closing etc.
There’s a shared kitchen available, but unfortunately, there’s no proper dining area to sit and enjoy your meals. Not the hotel’s fault, but someone stole our food from the shared fridge—something that’s never happened to me before in hostels!! I’d suggest the hotel consider adding small fridges to the rooms in the future. People can be uncultured hyenas.
- Samuel (1/5): Bad - Bathroom smelt of Sewer Drain & bedroom felt dingy
- Barbora (9/5): Great location, room was big and bed comfortable. Will be booking again. - The location was great and the checking system was so efficient. N/A
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (7/5): Good - The room was clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated.
The location offered easy access to public transport, and all other facilities were fine and as expected. With a few improvements in communication and amenities, the overall experience could be much better. The room was located in the basement, which wasn’t mentioned while booking and may not be ideal for everyone. We also noticed that the emergency contact number provided didn’t work, which was concerning in case of any urgent needs.
- Spyridon (9/5): Superb -
- Kiyoshi (7/5): Good -
- Barbara (7/5): Good - The location was ok. The room in the basement is fine for a short stay Stayed only for a night ,unfortunately after our arrival we had an issue with the toilet flush(apparently the previous guest has mentioned it too) as the water didn't stop running which was really annyoying and noisy.
We only managed to speak to their phone service. Later we got a reply from the host what we should try to do to have a temporary solution because it could not be solved at the time.
Missing an extra chair and some shelves in the room
- Elisa (8/5): Very good - The hotel is situated in a very good neighbourhood and the city centre is easily reachable by bus or by taking the tube. The room was clean and tidy. Perfect for a short stay in London.
- Ioannis (7/5): Good -
- Dean (8/5): Very good - Helpfulness of staff. Good location. Easy Check in and Check out. Cleaning staff very friendly and nice.
- George (6/5): Room clean and secure, but not worth the cost. - The room was nice and clean, seemed secure too. Good space, not too cramped. The kitchen wasn’t great, smelled funny and not ‘fully equipped’ as promised. There were also no sight of the breakfast bar stools in the kitchen, despite the message stating there were there for use.
I paid more than my budget for the place, expecting it to be worth it, and honestly it wasn’t really.
- Jaxandmogs (7/5): Good Value Functional Property for an Overnighter - This is great for an overnight stay. No frills, but a comfy bed in a reasonable sized room with kitchen facilities. A short walk from Tufnell Park Underground, makes it ideal for London meetings. There aren't any proper cups/mugs, glasses or cutlery. Just paper cups and wooden knives and forks, which is a bit rubbish. I'm not sure why this has been decided, when there are china plates to eat off. There also needs to be a tea towel provided, as the only options for drying the plates up after washing is paper towel or a fluffy hand towel.
- Ursula (8/5): Overall good but needs a bit more attention to maintenance- would still recommend though - Very convenient to Tufnell Underground station Northern line and a small 24 hour shop.
As described , it was functional, had all the basic requirements for a short stay. Bright and airy room, well appointed bathroom. Good secure keypad access to the property. Kitchen a great bonus . Floors were quite dirty, spaces around the bedside locker and behind the bathroom door had dirt and hairs accumulated. Flagged to management who responded promptly and said they would notify staff.
We had a double bed but only one side had a bedside locker. No lamps in the room so not great for reading if one person wants to sleep.
Our room led to a garden but it was completely overgrown with rusted furniture- basically unusable
- Phua (8/5): Very good - The location was good, 10 minutes away from the tufnell station. Another 10 minutes away from Euston station. Some food restaurants and grocery stores are around. Happened to stay in the basement, do not bring large luggage, due to very narrow staircase. Kitchen with no cutlery. Bedroom is ok for couple and glad to have a folderble table.
- Agnieszka (9/5): Very nice in safe area with good communicanication. I would choose it again. -
- Viera (8/5): Very good -
- Eszter (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, neat room, quiet area but Camden town within a short distance, will definitely stay here next time we visit London. Just a minor recommendation to place a small table and two chairs in the kitchen, in case someone wouldn't want to eat in the bedroom. Otherwise everything great.
- Guo (5/5): Passable - The location is in a quiet place, near underground station Not clean, check Google maps
- Yuliya (9/5): Superb - There was a good equipped kitchen, also there were a wash machine and iron. There is an online chekin, and you can check in / check out by yourself. Everything was clean. Our room had an exit to the small garden, it was very good point. There wasn’t enough sunlight and our towels were wet all the time.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (8/5): Great place to stay in north London, easy to get to on the northern line and good value - Easy to find, 10 minutes walk from Tufnell Park tube station Creaky bed
- Damien (7/5): Good -
- Mccurdie (8/5): Good, clean property - The property was spotless and value for money. As a lone female, I also felt safe and secure. I didn't know how to operate the "keypad" lock system. I envisaged physical buttons to press. Wave your hand closely to the front of the black sensor lock, and a digital keypad appears. Just add the pin when this happens.
- Shane (8/5): Very good -
- Zsuzsanna (6/5): Pleasant - The walls are very thin, we could hear everything the neighbours were doing. It was very disturbing. One of them was so loud during the night, we woke up several times.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable stay, safe and a short walk from tube
- Neeta (8/5): Very good - The room was lovely and clean. It was also nice and warm as we had been out all day and were cold. Bathroom again was clean and lovely clean towels provided. The kitchen area was clean and there was plenty of tea and coffee.
The location was perfect and only 5 minutes walk from Tufnell Park station. Very easy to find it.
Instructions sent for entering the building the the room were very clear with the WiFi code as wel I know its not the owners fault but someone had helped themselves to our food in the fridge. We had left it there for my husband who is diabetic.
We also had to stream of our own phone for the TV. The connections on the TV weren't great and we had to switch TV off and on sometimes to get it to switch on.
- Sophia (8/5): Very good - Exactly what we were looking for! Sophie from bookings was so helpful. Would stay here again.
- Nasrul (6/5): 15 minutes from the station if you walk not 5 minutes -
- David (8/5): Very good - The key lock was broke on arrival
- Tianzhe (9/5): Good value for money, clean and tidy - It's close to the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal fans who have watched the game. Easy check-in and check-out.
- Kristýna (8/5): Very good - Everything was good. Great communication with the staff.
- Mantas (10/5): Exceptional - This is a great spot in terms of location, quiet and calm house, as well as, well look after establishment. The tube and bus stops were close by. Even local pubs surprised us. Southampton Arms was a delight. Anyway, we've enjoyed our stay and definitely looking forward to come back. It's still a suburb and a good 25minutes away on the tube or a tad longer on a bus away from the centre. It's necessary to plan ahead your traveling time. However, it's still close to Golden Greens for connections to any airports if necessary.
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was clean and tidy. The area was quiet, the metro stop was close by, so the city center was reachable within 20 minutes. Comfortable bed, kitchen on each floor, it was very pleasant to boil water at the accommodation after a long exhausting day. We will return to London and would gladly stay at this accommodation again if it's available.
- Brenda (10/5): Clean and spacious. Very quiet. - The room and the facilities were very modern and clean. Though from the outside it is a Victorian old house, from the inside it is very modern and neat. The kitchen was fully equipped. The room was comfortable and had everything (including a hairdryer, a desk, shampoo and conditioner, etc. It was approximately 6 blocks away from the metro station and the neighborhood was cozy and beautiful. .
- Anonymous (7/5): lovely for what we needed - easy check in and out process there were some stains on the bedding and the shower wasn’t ideal, shower head was too heavy for the stand so had to shower holding it.
- Amanda (7/5): Convenient and comfortable - Clean, comfortable and fuss free.
- Nina (9/5): Superb - I liked the neighborhood, the location and the functionality of the apartment. I'm recommending it for a short or long stay while in London. Keep contacting the management via messaging and all will be well taken care of. It would help to have a USB plug in the apartment either receive a reminder to bring in an adapter. My device got depleted and I didn't have any options. Thankfully othe guests helped me.
- Serveh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mandana (10/5): Exceptional - Its has been a great stay in London, feeling home. this quiete flat so white and clean. so secure. it has also very modern shower facilities like a five star hotel. including a very comfortable bed, so clean and fresh. I liked the idea of kitchen close to my room.
- Cristina (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - The property was exactly as described. Very clean, quiet and cool temperature even though it was 31° outside
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous clean rooms near Camden - Great little find in walking distance of Camden. Everything is done via message after booking but they are constantly in touch if required and answer messages immediately. Our room was a simple room on basement level, it was very clean, and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom only had a shower, but again, this was very clean. Front door and rooms have digital code locks and the apartments are very secure. We will definitely stay here again when we return to London.
- Payne (8/5): Very good -
- Dani (7/5): Good - Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and no one was there to fix it. There must’ve been someone smoking because none of the people that were waiting outside at 02:00 saw something. Then some resident I think fixed it by turning it off.
- Seren (10/5): a lovely property in a secluded area with everything needed for a short stay. - the property was in a nice area with everything in reach through transport, really short walk from tube and property had everything needed. nothing bad to say everything was amazing
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alisha (10/5): I was pleased with my stay I will sure book again - we’ll organise and clean clean and quiet
- Mortsavi (10/5): I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. - Not only was the accommodation aesthetically pleasing, but it was also highly functional. The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed to maximize space without compromising on comfort. Every aspect, from the clever storage solutions to the well-placed furniture, showcased a meticulous approach to ensuring a seamless and convenient stay. Every facility was modern, clean, and well-maintained, from the well-equipped kitchen to the bathroom—and great WiFi speed. Overall, my stay was nothing short of delightful. It seamlessly blended Victorian charm with modern functionality, creating a memorable and comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking a blend of history, style, and convenience during their travels as well as value for money.
- Claudia (5/5): A bed and a shower, not much more - Bed was comfortable, bathroom quite new and clean. Easy to get in the front door and the room. There is nowhere to leave belongings ahead of check-in time, but the cleaning person allowed us to leave our things in the room before she finished cleaning it for us, which was incredibly helpful. The flat is not 5 mins walk from Tufnell Park, it's more like 10-15 mins. The description says there's a kitchen but doesn't specify it's shared and may not be on your floor, so if you want a morning cup of coffee you have to go upstairs to make it since there's no kettle in the room - very inconvenient. There's a TV, but it has no local access and you must have a TV app to watch anything, so we could not watch news or the replay of the Coronation as we had hoped. Visitors from outside the UK would not have access to any of the apps and would appreciate local news and weather access. Our room had a fire alert with a green light which was very bright and on ALL NIGHT, but no bedside lamps in case you want to read since you can't watch TV. Overall, quite overpriced for what is offered.
