• MERVYN (5/5): Position was great, the interior was serviceable with AC provided - The position to the ferry service was excellent and allowed us to access walking tracks to the city. The gardens needed some care and attention and the interior, although quaint needs some TLC. It would have suited a cheaper price range
• Sue and Roy (1/5): Don’t bother ! - The location was great I have never written such a negative reveiw. We stayed at this house for 4 nights at $263 per night in March 2026. The only positive: the location is great. The issues are extensive. I communicated with the owner a number of times about the state of the place. He said he was sorry but made no effort to rectify in any way. Issues - [ ] Poor cleanliness of whole house - [ ] Broken blinds - [ ] Bbq filthy inside - [ ] Broken window - [ ] Overgrown gardens - [ ] No gate locks, gates held together with rope - unacceptable if you have pets - [ ] Ripped and old linen - [ ] Doors that don’t lock properly - [ ] Dirty cutlery and crockery - [ ] Range hood filters so greasy x 3 - [ ] No hand soap - [ ] Bathroom has mould and full of half empty bottles of shampoo, etc - [ ] Lounge full of stains and dirt under cushions - [ ] Dirt, garbage and dust under beds - [ ] 3rd bedroom had an uneven sofa bed on the floor - [ ] Walk in gate has overgrown tree so the gate springs back into your head - [ ] Laundry underneath is a health hazard - [ ] Undercroft is untidy and full of dumped household goods and paints - [ ] No matters cover on main bed - [ ] Mattress and pillows stained Pet friendly doesn’t mean it has to be human unfriendly

• Donna (10/5): - Very clean and relaxing. The beds were so comfortable, best sleep in a while 🥰 Handy to airport and other venues I needed to go to. Thank you so much 😁 The shower had no pressure 😥
• Emily (6/5): Not bad for an old traditional Brisbane house - Very homey and clean enough. Have most of the things we need except the hair dryer. A few things needing to be fixed (as it is an old house) and has notified the owner. Julien is very responsive.

• Sharon (8/5): Lovely comfortable home in central location, very comfortable - We loved this gorgeous home in Bulimba, with its old fashioned charm and big backyard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - perfect for a family visiting Brisbane for a few days. There was nothing I didn’t like about it
• craig (1/5): Absolute rubbish - The whole place was disgustingly dirty, absolute rubbish, kitchen was that dirty my partner spent 1st 2 hours of our trip cleaning it and the rest of the house Lawns were overgrown with gates that I had to nail shut to keep my dog in , they say it’s secure yard !! Gates where tied with rope Rubbish bins were absolutely disgusting, crap overflowing everywhere! Bathroom was a joke Toilet seat broken Air conditioning was a lottery to see which one worked! Shower had to be cleaned I actually had to nail pailings on the fence No gas in bbq Pillows and sheets where filthy My partner actually washed them before we slept Honestly worst experience of my life I contacted the owner and he agreed to partial refund for $200 on Tuesday, then on Friday he says $150 , when I say where is my money he said I abused him! Well after that I did Rude , arrogant and entitled person who has no idea of what he is doing! Was a dirty bowl on top of kitchen cupboard with leftover spaghetti sauce in it! Honestly I should be getting all my money back! Just goes to show you could take nice pictures and don’t even think that people will notice!! Do yourself a favour and have nothing to do with this bloke and his pig sty He said he will refund me if I don’t write bad review and that he was doing it in good faith 😂😂😂, WELL I TOLD HIM TO SHOVE HIS $200 FOR THE SAKE OF PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE PREFER TO BE OUT OF POCKET THAN HAVE SOMEONE ELSE GO THROUGH IT LOOKS LIKE THEY BEEN STAYING THERE THEMSELVES AND THEY CLEANED IT THEMSELVES SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE PEOPLE Hope you never have to go through it
• BJaam (8/5): - Wunderschöne Lage in einem ruhigen, familiären Quartier! Schöne Terasse mit Garten. Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen,aber ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Es hat genügend Platz für eine Familie. Mit dem Bus, der wenige Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt ist, kann man direkt ins Zentrum fahren. Die Besitzer haben bei Fragen schnell reagiert und uns weiter geholfen. Alles in allem ein guter Aufenthalt. Älteres Haus, im Winter eher kalt.

• Gill (4/5): Disappointing - Good communication Cheap sheets and towels well past their use by date. Place needs a good clean from top to bottom. Unloved basically. Not a place one would choose to hang out and relax in. Yard unkempt. Bedding did not feel clean. No tea coffee etc. Only supplies were those clearly left by previous guests. Water pressure in shower and general cleanliness in bathroom (except for the toilet which was very clean) meant that we chose not to use it basically.
• Lucia (10/5): (More than) a beautiful house - The house is a little jewel near the city but besides the position, the property was very cleaned! We loved having breakfast on the balcony with the city view and the kids enjoyed spending time in the big backyard. Don’t be fooled by the photos… the house is more than beautiful. The owner has been very friendly and helpful with all the questions I had during my stay(thank you Julien)… we will definitely come back!!!

• 可晴 (10/5): An amazing experience, I really love this place! - A beautiful community with a spacious house, fresh-smelling blankets, and a very clean home! The surroundings are peaceful yet conveniently located, making it a truly comfortable stay. Sitting outside in the morning, enjoying breakfast while listening to the sounds of nature, was absolutely wonderful! I really love this place, and I will definitely stay here again when I visit Brisbane next time. ☺️☺️ The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, making it perfect for both short-term trips and long-term stays. • Lois (6/5): Enjoyable to stay in an old Queenslander. Thankful for parking and amenities & household contents were suitable for - The facilities & everything you needed was available…..in a reasonable location to most things. With our luggage & my partial disability it was a bit difficult to negotiate the stair( especially being wet from the rain. Some things on the house require maintenance and a thorough cleaning. Kitchen had good supply of all necessary requirements. Beds were comfortable. The front screen door doesn’t close because of missing hinge and found mould in some of air conditioners. Step to kitchen could be a trip hazard if not aware of it & and although the bath/shower had to be combined, it made it difficult for me to have a shower/ bath. Some supplies in pantry were running low ( like cooking out) but that may have been left from previous tenant. Hot water in the shower/bath kept going hot & cold- not constant temperature. Didn’t get to use the nice outdoor area because of the rain. Also garden & grass is in need of a good overhaul

• Megan (8/5): Lovely home, convenient to everything - This lovely home is SO convenient - 3 minute walk from the Oxford Street restaurants, bus stop 2 min walk and a 10 minute drive to the city. Lovely back deck and user friendly kitchen. Beds were comfy, bedrooms spacious and lovely and cool. There were some minor issues, however the owner immediately offered to rectify.
• Luke (8/5): Good value - Excellent value for money. Clean. Close to the city if you're driving. Flight path does go straight over the house so it can be a bit noisy. House is quite old but fine for what you pay.

• Hope (10/5): A beautiful home with everything we could have needed for our stay! - The house is very well kept, has a lovely light feel about it, has a beautiful back deck and provided everything we needed for a young family. Highchair, trampoline, swing set and even laundry amenities. It felt like beautiful home away from home. The location is a quick walk to Oxford street which was amazing and super close to the airport as well. Just overall a great stay. The first night we noticed we were on a flight path, so I was nervous with a 2 year old. But it didn’t affect us as all, after the first night we hardly noticed it!

• Kimberly (10/5): Perfect place to stay close to the city! Would 1000% stay again! - An amazing homie feel, very clean, very practical & close to the city. Great addition for a trampoline & swing for the kids. Awesome city views from the back patio too that we all enjoyed. A hair dryer would have been handy, but could not fault the property itself at all!
• Kath (6/5): Pleasant - There was plenty of room, it was clean and the beds were comfy. Kitchen facilities were great and it was within walking distance to the ferry. The trampoline in the back yard was great for the kids. There was a bad smell in the front bedrooms, kind of like cats used to be in there. It was directly under the take off flight path so it was really noisy at night - fine if you can sleep with noise, not so good if you're a light sleeper. Also no shops or restaurants within walking distance so you need a car or be prepared to use public transport.

• Elizabeth (6/5): All in all we enjoyed our stay and nothing detured it, thank you! - Location was good for us, central for eveything we wanted to do and Bulimba seems a lovely area. We felt safe and the beds were comfortable. Definate city views 🙂 Unfortunatly we assumed things like bath mats and t-towles would be provided but we had to purchase these. Along with washing powder, dish wash tablets...salt and pepper (lots more) The towels provided were below average. Also would recommend to future guests to run dish washer during the day as it makes some loud noises (possibly a water pump)

• Annika (10/5): Dog friendly! Spacious, big yard; a charming house! - Julien was an amazing host, extremely responsive, attentive, and very accommodating allowing early and late check out. Very easy going and friendly. House was spacious with great white goods and master bedroom mattress was super comfy! Close to Bulimba Main Street with lots of lovely cafes and restaurants etc ! Both back yard and front yard was fenced off with very large outdoor area, our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed it! It was great not having to worry about them as allowed inside and out. Highly recommend! Thank you 🙏🏻
