Guest Reviews
- LEANDRO (8/5): - Localização, silêncio e contato do anfitrião! Limpeza!
- Mishalini (6/5): Pleasant -
- Darren (9/5): Great apartment in accessible order - Great apartment, in a superb quiet location. 7 min walk to the tube and shops. Everything that you could need was there, very comfortable.,
Will definitely use again on our next trip to London.. thanks Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Felt like home away from home while living it up in London. - This location was a quick 6 minute walk to the underground and many busses. Also conviently close to a pub, a lovely tea shop, Tesco, Food Co-Op, Pharmacy, Pizza joint, liquor store... and a few other things I didn't look into. Very close to many big attractions, one underground stop from London Bridge, or a 20 min bus ride or 30 walk up the street to Tower bridge. Only took at most 30 minutes to get to Covent Garden for shows or 10 minutes to Canary Warf for good food. Having the Bermondsey Underground station so close was amazing. Which is also handicap and luggage friendly! Elevators!
The apartment is close, but not too close to the elevator, so I didn't have to hunt down the room when I landed on the floor. Large fridge, tea kettle, microwave, and hairdryer made everything like home.
I enjoyed stepping out onto the balcony, if I was there when its warm outside this would have been a wonderful spot for having my morning hot drink. Or a casual snack before venturing out to play in the city.
The bed was comfy - though I still don't understand how people live without top sheets... duvet is cute once I figured out how to change the cover... but I missed having the comfort of a top sheet. My friends said the pull out couch bed was relatively comfy as well! And having seperate rooms for us was a big win! Also, that the bathroom was seperate from the bedroom, so my girlfriends could use the bathroom without disturbing me at night or viceversa. Though they did worry about how loud flushing would be, the walls are nicely thick and insulated. I didnt hear my neighbors unless they were outside my front door walking dogs. And all of them were friendly in passing. I've never been a fan of electric cooktops. They suck. Just can't get a good read on the temprature like one can with good ole fire. oh well. Doesn't diminish the rest of the stay.
The washing machine was entertaining. I had to find a pdf online for instructions on how to use it, and still don't believe it actually drys anything. But it does do a good wash. And there is a drying rack provided. But the wash takes longer than it looks like the numbers on the knobs say it should. Don't plan to wear clothes or use towels the same day.
(This might be a universal issue outside of the US with washer/dryers)
- Hester (9/5): We had a very nice stay in this quiet apartment close to London's city centre. - A nice apartment in a quiet surroundings, yet very close to London's centre. Underground station within walking distance, 5 minutes from the Thames, and a supermarket just around the corner.
