Guest Reviews
- Helmut Johannes (8/5): We can recommend this accommodation with a clear conscience. - Location and surroundings
The location of the apartment is undoubtedly one of its greatest advantages. A supermarket is 300 meters away. The bus stop for the subway is also 300 meters away. From there, you can take a bus to the subway station (if you don't want to walk 1100 meters from apartment to subway station). The public transport connections are excellent, and you can reach central London very quickly; attractions such as the British Museum, Covent Garden, and the River Thames are easily accessible. The quiet surroundings of the apartment were particularly pleasant. Despite the central location, we were spared the usual city noise.
Furnishings and Condition of the Apartment
Although the apartment itself is no longer brand new and in some places displays the charm of bygone years, it impresses with its well-maintained condition and high level of cleanliness. The floors, bathroom, and kitchen were thoroughly cleaned, and fresh bed linens and towels were provided. The accommodation proved to be extremely comfortable for four people. The rooms are designed to provide ample space for everyone. The living room invites you to linger together, while the two bedrooms are ideal for private retreats. The kitchen is equipped with the essential appliances and sufficient dishes, making it possible to prepare a home-cooked breakfast or a light dinner. A small dining area offers space for shared meals. The free parking space directly next to the building is particularly convenient.
Sleeping Comfort and Peace
A crucial aspect of any accommodation is sleeping comfort. The mattresses were somewhat soft and the beds generally comfortable. Blackout curtains ensured undisturbed nights, and the quiet neighborhood contributed significantly to our restful sleep. There is hardly any street noise. However, airplanes can be heard regularly during the day (aircraft are suspended from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). Communication with the landlord was somewhat patchy. Although the information necessary for check-in reached us in a timely manner, it always came not till then the day of arrival or departure. It would be desirable if the landlord could send messages 1-2 days in advance. This would avoid uncertainty and make the journey more relaxed. Nevertheless, the landlord was friendly and cooperative.
- Torsten (5/5): Recht spartanisch ausgestattetes typisch englisches Reihenhausappartement mit Mängeln. - Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, etwas abseits vom zentralen Brixton-Trubel, wenige Meter zum Bus, sehr ruhig, Tube auch fußläufig erreichbar. Nette Cafés direkt um die Ecke. Recht spartanisch ausgestattetes typisch englisches Reihenhausappartement.

- Matthew (6/5): Had a lovely stay overall. However there are several things that need addressing for future visitors - Bedrooms were very spacious and comfy/clean beds.
Lots of pillows as well.
Nice cosy living room and enough cooking facilities in the kitchen.
Also very ideal location for heading into town and jumping on the underground. The toilet was unfortunately leaking as the seal must've been damaged.
Therefore there was often toilet water all over the bathroom floor.
This was cleaned a few times but it would be back by the morning. Needs sorting ASAP.
The television did not work and could not get access to any programmes/services including freeview.
My roommate ended up purchasing temporary WI-FI in order to connect to television and gain access to streaming services.
No tea towel to dry dishes.
- Sharon (9/5): Quiet area, handy to Kings College . - Good location , convenient to Kings College Hospital, only a bus ride away , number 45 takes you right to Caldecott Road opposite the hospital.
Good boiler, flat toasty warm. Pillows could do with changing, clean but stuffing clumpy, prob happened in wash.
