- Bliss (10/5): A perfect cozy and homely stay - Piccolo was the perfect cozy and homely place to stay for our time in Hepburn Springs and Daylesford. It's in a perfect quiet location with beautiful views backing onto the property. The house was super clean and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door, with tea, coffee, milk, cold water in the fridge, porridge, and even a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us which was much appreciated. The terrace and garden were beautiful and we were lucky enough to be welcomed home one evening by two kangaroos in the back. We couldn't ask for more and nothing bad to say - it's exactly what we were after for a couple of relaxing days in the area, thank you so much!
- Alasdair (9/5): A cute, romantic cottage, perfect for couples looking for a cosy winter stay - Private, easy to access, close to major attractions in Hepburn and Daylesford, and charming. Bed was very comfortable! Stayed in winter and was not cold - heating and gas fire place is great.
- Kimberley (8/5): Comfortable and cosy - Cosy little cottage. Gas flame fire was lovely. No smart tv so no access to streaming services. Limited to the DVD selection available in the cottage.
- Graham (8/5): Very pleasant and generally well set up. - Lovely bedroom and good kitchen set up The gas log heater worked well but no instructions as to how to start it.
- Victoria (9/5): Cute as a button - Everything we needed for a perfect long weekend away
- Catherine (9/5): Cute cottage - Great little home. Nice to have Wine, coffee machine, porridge, milk etc. included. Very quiet spot. Great shower 👌 Unfortunately the lovely fake wood gas heater wasn't working but the wall heaters were thank goodness as very chilly. Maybe electric blankets for the winter months would be good.
- Janine (9/5): Cute cottage in a serene setting. - Great cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break. It’s very cute.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sandra (10/5): Absolutely Perfect! - This cosy, romantic cottage is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the charming interiors and thoughtful touches like the complimentary wine and chocolates. The outside seating areas were perfect for relaxing, whether enjoying a book on the balcony or soaking up the sun in the peaceful courtyard.
The serene ambience of the area, paired with breathtaking views of Breakneck Gorge, made it the ideal spot to unwind. Its proximity to restaurants, day spas, and Hepburn Mineral Springs was an added bonus, making our stay both relaxing and convenient.
We loved it so much that we’ve already booked our return stay. “Piccolo” truly lives up to its name—small but packed with everything you could want for a perfect getaway! The only minor issue was the fruit trees at the back of the house, which could use a little pruning. On windy nights, the branches occasionally rubbed on the roof, and falling fruit made a bit of noise, slightly affecting our sleep. However, this was a very small detail and didn’t detract from our overall wonderful stay.
- Virginia (8/5): Very pleasant with lots of sitting areas offering quiet space as well as lovely things to look at. Thank you - It was quiet and secluded and I like that type of privacy. Only issue was the lock box to get into the property was difficult to open.
