- Bettina (8/5): - Surprisingly nice rooms slightly off the main path aceoss the island, so it's quiet and perfect for a weekend getaway. If you come with a suitcase, though, be aware they charge you HKD 20 an hour to keep it once you've checked out and just want to wander round for another couple of hours before heading back on the ferry. Personally, i think that's pretty poor service given you've just spent a chunk of money to stay there. Otherwise, no complaints, and recommeded if you dont have that issue. See above
- Alena (8/5): - Pohodlný pokoj a koupelna, dobrá snídaně ve střešní místnosti s hezkým výhledem. Klidná lokalita v příjemném přístavním městečku s mnoha malými místními obchody a restauracemi. Skvělá cena v porovnání s centrem Hongkongu.

- Mark (9/5): - * comfortable bed
* effective air conditioning
* bathroom with wet/dry seperation & ample space
* secure and easy entry/exit
* fast check in * refrigerator lacked temperature control and froze anything placed in ut

- Pui (10/5): A cosy lovely November stay on this small island. - Excellent location. Just a few minutes walk from the ferry pier. Had a wonderful breakfast in a nearby Cha Chaan Tang!!
- Cheng (8/5): -
- Sly (8/5): Nice stay - All good, good locaton, nice room, good custoer service Too short bed - couldn't sleep too well, because of this
- YIK TO (7/5): -
- Gavin (5/5): - Quiet location. The room was satisfactory. Hotel was listed as Hong Kong, but actually on an island 30 minutes away by ferry.
Breakfast was very basic.
- Angie (9/5): - It is clean and big. no
- Robert (6/5): Was ok if you’re not a fussy person. - Location Was told water was undrinkable but they offered to sell bottled water.
- SIOK CHENG (9/5): -
- Catharina Jonkman (9/5): Heel fijn verblijf op het leuke
Cheung Chau - Leuke ontvangst, goede bedden, lekkere douche. Leuke ontbijtzaal met heerlijk ontbijt. De ligging ook handig.
- Ka Man (7/5): - 有抽濕機 整個住宿期都沒有執房,還有廁所沒有窗
- Kwan Yi (7/5): - -location perfect, very close to the pier and the beach, very easy to go for sunrise
-booked the most basic room. The bed was right against three walls, with no space between. OK for one person but too small for 2. Not complaining just you get what you paid. I would advise to pay more for a bigger one.
-although the room is small, they have everything: facial tissue, slippers, kettle, towels etc
-bathroom was big enough, comfortable to use
-check-in was easy with clear instruction. The staff was in another souvenir shop, not the same building as the accommodation.
-just fyi they provide rooftop breakfast (all you can eat with toast, ham, sausage, bacon..), didn't have it so can't comment on it.
- Etienne (8/5): -
- Stephen (7/5): It was a small room but was relatively cheap given we stayed on the eve of a public holiday - It’s a nice convenient location and the breakfast was good The bed in the standard room is a bit small
- Tosig (4/5): Maybe one more chance to this potential best option on the island? - The location is very convenient and there are not many options on the island. The room stinks, although the reception kindly gave us another diffuser, but it does not help with the terrible smell. It sounds to me that the previous person had a strong pee scent or someone or pets pee-ed in the room. I thought the whole floor was stinky since I can smell it once I got into Ground floor so I did not ask for another room and it was already quite late when I arrived and there were not many other options on the island that I could move to, but turns out it was not the case as I leave on the next day when all room has their doors opened, those room smell great.
Washroom is very dirty, with mold on the wall. Room has scraps on the floor and dust all over the room, not so well maintained but yea this is a holiday home not hotel.
- Y (8/5): - Location is nice. On Cheung Chau, everything is small scale. You see the local living close by. It is a bit unhandy as the staff is not around at the hotel. However, they are reachable at a shop at a walking distance at the hotel and reply Whatsapp message quickly.
- Kali (5/5): - 地點方便 房子沒凳,房內環境不清潔。
- Yin Yu (9/5): the place and rooms are nice, very convenient location, decorations are good, good style - breakfast is good , not the best but good enough for this price the ground floor was very wet in the evening, but it was resolved the other day
- Janeth (8/5): -
- Labrador (10/5): -
- Tram (9/5): Convenient, relaxing and peaceful - Reception is on the main street when you arrive to check-in, the hotel is a short walk up a hill around the corner. This was initially difficult with all our luggage. But in general we loved that the hotel is located in a convenient but quiet area, it's close to the ferry terminal and the main street where all the shops and restaurants are, also a few minutes walk to the beach. The room itself was unexpectedly spacious for the two of us, compared to what we've stayed in Hong Kong. We could easily lay both our opened luggages flat on the floor. Bed was also big but a bit too hard. Bathroom was also spacious, clean and modern. Small kitchen area with sink was also a bonus, just bring your own utensils.
- David (9/5): -
- Jun Xuan (10/5): -
- Po shan (7/5): -
- Lei (8/5): A comfy and enjoyable stay. - The location is quite convenient, especially near to the beach. The room is spacious. Mosquitoes are around in the room.
- TSZ MAN (7/5): -
- Sui (8/5): Very good - Having breakfast on the rooftop. Nice view!
- John (8/5): Really nice two night trip to hang out by the beach with our young daughter. - Breakfast with a view over the harbour was a nice surprise and at only 40HKD was cheap, in our opinion. I've had a lot worse for a lot more. The bed is basically a mattress between two walls so at my height (a modest 186cm / 6'2") it is impossible to stretch out. There's nowhere for your feet to go except diagonally.
- Poon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jos (9/5): Good value for your money - Clean hotel
Good price
Good location
Great shower
- 盲犬小q (7/5): Good - Location 隔音差
- Rosy15 (9/5): best in Cheung Chau - I was in room 28. I loved the balcony view. the room was big for one person but would also be good for 2-3. the shower was good pressure. the room was quiet. everything was very clean. unfortunately the mattress was uncomfortable with the springs digging into me. I spread the 2 duvets over it so I could sleep pn top of them. A firm bed is OK but the springs made this uncomfortable. all it needs is a mattress topper
- Shuen (9/5): Superb -
- Olivia (8/5): Very good -
- Oscar (1/5): Avoid if sleeping is a priority - Decently clean and well located Better classified as youth hostel - by far the noisiest late night dorm I've ever stayed in (since graduating high school anyway). Great place for throwing late night fraternity benders; avoid if sleep is a priority.
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Enjoyed the location, the rooftop area
Breakfast a bit greasy though
- Evangeline (9/5): Superb - I liked the size of the shower compared to the others in the area. I didn't like the smell in the room, I think it's the carpets.
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tsz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kok (10/5): Exceptional - Recommended and very easy to access.
- Inna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Suryati (8/5): Overall stay, I satisfied. - I like the room, its designs and cleaness Little be noises, I heard people were chatting at night.
Walk-in breakfast does not receive payment by credit card, has to be paid with cash.
- Amina (9/5): It's perfect - The location was great, you don't get anything from the outside, and it's very edible at the same time, the staff was very accommodating and professional. The rooms are nice, clean and spotless. For what it costs it's perfect. The bed was extremely stiff, literally this is the only negative point
- Vinod (1/5): Regret - NOTHING It was a terrible experience, and the service was extremely poor—unbelievably so. That afternoon, I wanted to rest for a while, so I hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. However, the housekeeping staff kept knocking on the door. At first, I thought she might not have noticed the sign, but she continued knocking, louder and louder. She even shouted "Housekeeping!" outside the door for a full five minutes. Eventually, I had to open the door and tell her that the "Do Not Disturb" sign was clearly displayed. The staff was the same lady who had checked us in at the front desk. She seemed to ignore what I was saying and kept rambling, asking how many people were in the room, until what date we were staying... It was completely incoherent! In the end, I couldn’t take it anymore and closed the door, even though she was still talking.
Around 4 p.m., I planned to go out, but I noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway. I went to the front desk to report it, and it was the same lady again. Her first response was, "I don’t think so. It’s probably just the smell of hot food from breakfast." I was shocked—how could I not tell the difference between food smell and cigarette smoke? Besides, it was already 4 p.m.! I could only say, "Why don’t you go and smell it yourself?"
There were also other minor issues that added up, making the overall experience very poor. The photos of the room were vastly different from reality. They claimed to have upgraded our room, but it only had a tiny window facing a wall with a drainpipe, so we had to keep it closed the entire time. The curtains couldn’t block out the light, and the window was right above the bed, so the sun woke me up at 6 a.m.
The carpet was dirty and worn out, and there was even a big hole in it. The shampoo was terrible—after using it, my hair felt like wire, worse than dish soap. There were two USB ports, but only one worked, Wifi no signal on the bed...
- Thi (6/5): Pleasant - Staff are friendly Someone unlocked my door when i slept. I didn’t know if it is staff or they used the same keys for all rooms.
- Clara (8/5): Maybe should have a reception - It is comfortable, quiet n cosy A bit small
- Zoé (8/5): Cozy Island bnb - Cozy interior, nice aesthetic, good amenities (hairdryer, kitchenette, breakfast, rooftop, bedroom slippers, etc) Small hill to get up to the place. But that's just cheung chau
- Lai (8/5): Very relaxing stay - The room was clean and tidy Needed to wait for 15 minutes for taking shower
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Lo (9/5): We enjoyed our stay and the view from the roof terrace is a pleasant surprise for us. - Breakfast was good and the view from the roof terrace is splendid! The room is cosy, clean and comfortable.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There's no lift so must be prepared to carry luggage up flights of stairs but for a short stay, it shouldn't matter.
- Sai (8/5): Very good -
- Iris (10/5): Excellent, special location - We arrived with 2 people and had an upgrade, a whole familyroom! The big bed was clean and firm, the way I like it, it is nice that you are sleeping in a bit of a niche.
Extra sleepingcouch was firm and extra chair too. Nice to put stuff on. Kitchen was OK, clean and complete. There was a folding table. Shower was hot and had good water pressure. Everything is clean.
The location is stunning. Breakfast wil do nicely, view is THE extra, wish we could stay one more night! Remember you have to take the ferry from Hong Kong Island so check the latest. Reception in the shop behind is open till 24 h midnight, otherwise it is self check inn. When you arrive at the pier around midnight some pubs, shops (minimarket) and street stalls are open so you can get something to eat. Only a bed side lamp was missing
- R (9/5): Superb - location is good near the pier.
clean. the room is in basement level. not enough sun and smell bad.
mattress is great pillow too soft.

- Kahli (10/5): Great getaway in gorgeous Cheung Chau - The Lychee was perfect - great communication and the staff were so lovely. Rooms were great sizes and we got a balcony too! Close to the marina, good food and the beach. Could not have been happier! There was nothing I didn't like!
- John (5/5): Passable - shower is good No desk or small table to put my bags, have to leave them on the floor, room very small
- Jonathan (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (6/5): Nice location in lovely island. - Calm location :) The bed was really uncomfortable, no storage space, and the air conditioning blasts right on you while sleeping.
- Liam (8/5): Great for a family getaway. - Great location. Great space for a family. Great breakfast set up. Great value. Mattress was very hard in our room.
- Pauline (8/5): Very nice - The place is walking distance 3 minutes from the pier, super convenience. The room is small but very clean and quiet. Just small
- Hoi (10/5): I’ll definitely come again. It was a nice staycation for me - The location is close by and easy to get to The breakfast was not so good
- Ling (4/5): Disappointing -
- Fanny (10/5): Best place to stay on Cheung Chau - Great location, really clean and quiet. We tried a few places on Cheung Chau and this one is the best one we went to! This is definitely going to be where we will stay for our future get away weekends.
- Ho (8/5): It's ok - Breakfast is not included. Nothing
- Sharon (3/5): We have stayed here before and didn't have the problems above. It isn't that cheap either. - Breakfast is very good. Good location. Staff very nice. Being put into a room that was clearly being renovated. Sawdust on the floor and windowsill's. Smoke detector cover still on. Very shabby furniture. Drill holes in the walls.
