• Perrine (9/5): Un hôtel tout confort et services en plein coeur de la ville d’Ottawa - L’hôtel, très agréable, la chambre bien isolée du bruit et bien décorée et agencée, le personnel très sympathique, que ce soit le voiturier, le personnel d’accueil qui a monté nos bagages à l’étage et le personnel de la réception, aux petits soins. Nous avons pu bénéficier d’un late check-out sans supplément. Le service de voiturier. Nous n’avions pas booké le petit-déjeuner et n’avons pas pu le prendre à l’hôtel au dernier moment car le restaurant est très prisé. Un peu dommage en tant que résident de l’hôtel. Il faut bien réserver.

• LittleWolf007 (8/5): Great location and friendly staff - Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was spacious and had coffee machine & capsules. Bed was very comfortable and able to Chromecast to tv. The shower in bathtub was not great and is a potential slip hazard. The curtains were not complete block out so light came in early. Noise from bar below was audible at times.

• Deborah (10/5): Definitely my go to hotel now when visiting Ottawa - The location is so central that you can walk to Byward Market, The National Art Gallery and several coffee shops and a fabulous French Bakery. The beds are super comfortable and the showers are large and have high end products in them. The Happy Hour is wonderful! Excellent cocktails and menu all half price. The breakfast was disappointing. Eggs Benedict served cold , mushy salad and toast. Not enough staff serving hotel guests who preferred to sit in the lobby area and work on a laptop. Reasonable prices for most items though.

• Deborah (10/5): We will stay here every time we come to Ottawa now. - Friendly staff and lovely bar with Happy Hour cocktails we applaud. Easy walking distance to The National Arts Centre and Parliament Hill. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent too Then cafe isn't really inviting with hard metal chairs in the lobby area. The prices were also very high for that kind of cold and off putting atmosphere.

Nous avons également eu des pigeons sur le bord de la fênetre qui était acoustiquement mal isolé, ce qui est un réveil quelques peu désagréable. La salle de sport, les tapis de course était tous les deux en panne.

• Mariam (7/5): Beautiful hotel but not recommended if you are looking for a quiet stay - Beautiful property, with a very cool concept! I loved the atrium area the extended up from the first floor to the roof, the furniture, and the general style of the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated having access to the fitness area in the hotel. The hotel was also very centrally located with great connections to key destinations by foot and transit. The rooms are not very soundproof. You can hear people walking and talking in the hallway as if they are inside your room. But more importantly, when people are in the atrium or cafe, you can hear the noise in your room. I stayed one night on a weekend and people were very in a very loud and celebratory mood in the atrium all night. I thought the noise would quiet down at 10pm, when the hotel closed, or maybe at 11pm but eventually had to call the front desk for ear plugs at 11:30pm because I couldn’t sleep due to the loud conversations and screaming in the atrium. I am not sure if there’s a policy in place for quiet times or if staff just were not enforcing it. Also, I am sensitive to smells and the entire property had very strong scents of perfume, to mask something that smelled a little like smoke. I don’t know if maybe the property allowed smoking in the past. It wasn’t unbearable but I prefer softer scents.

• Mary-Margaret (9/5): Wonderful hotel with phenomenal location - We had a wonderful stay at the Metcalf hotel and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Staff were incredibly accommodating. The environment itself is stylish and classic yet warm and inviting. The Metcalfe is wonderful. I wish the rooms had better air circulation.

• Dorie (4/5): Overall my stay was disappointing. The room was extremely loud and I wouldn't stay here again. - The lobby was nicely furnished and comfortable. The hotel seemed mostly empty, however the room I was given was in a corner between the housekeeping room and the elevators. My door was usually blocked and my room was extremely loud. Given the emptiness of the hotel, there was no reason to be placed in this room.

• Laura (10/5): Excellent Stay - Our room was on the 5th floor and it was very quiet and clean. The restaurant was very good, but they turned several people away who didn’t have reservations. The wait staff were good too. The front desk staff went above and beyond their duties as they called cabs and helped us with directions. The valet people were also friendly and efficient. Housekeeping was wonderful and the room and the hotel were spotless. There was not anything that I didn’t like. However, I felt bad for all the people that they had to turn away from brunch as they did not have reservations. It would be great if they could expand the area to accommodate more people as they were all staying at the hotel that were turned away.

• Siqi (9/5): - The boutique hotel is very stylish. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Initially I was assigned to a room near the hallway, where I can hear the crowd and the music from the lobby. After I reflect that to the staff, they immediately changed a room for me, and I was lucky enough to get an upgrade as well. The location is perfect, close to the parliament hill and walkable distance to the national gallery of Canada.

• Sanaz (8/5): Great place if you dont have a car. Make sure to reserve a place for breakfast prior to calling it a night. - Clean and classy place. Room was spotless. Staff is warm and welcoming. No spots available for breakfast. Even if you stay at the property, there are no tables reserved for guests of the hotel. No parking unless you use valet. If not, you need to find parking in the street. They recommend a place that is a 9 minute walk from the hotel.

There were groups of people making noise until 1am and it was very disturbing and we did not sleep well because of it. The hotel should let their clients know about the location of their room that's reserved and the possibility of noise at late times. Not professional.

• Deborah (7/5): Overall nice- but not worth the money! - Walking distance to all major attractions downtown. Lobby and interior atrium courtyard were lovely. Definitely a nice property, but on a very busy street so finding a place to stop to drop off bags was a challenge, and valet parking was expensive. Interior rooms facing the courtyard were dark with only small windows. Overall experience was nice - but overpriced.
