Guest Reviews
- Noemi (8/5): Very good -
- Anja (8/5): Very good -
- Mai (7/5): Good food, friendly hosts but very cold room - Friendly hosts who accommodate your needs. Good dinner, great location to explore Cerro Castillo national park The cabin was freezing for me. There is a fireplace in the common area that got lit up for a couple of hour at the beginning of the night but that's it. Insulation is not good, so in the morning I feel like the room is as cold as the outside, which is around 5 degree celciuses this time of the year.

- Vernon (8/5): Very good -
- Valeria (8/5): Very good - This is a simple place but super comfortable to relax after trekking. The bed was so comfortable and it was hard to wake up in the morning. The owner was so friendly and gave lot of trekking tips. I see a lot of negative feedback but actually this was better than expected for us.

- Bshlomo (7/5): Basic accommodation in Villa Cerro Castillo - Cerro Castillo is a small town, everything is within walking distance. There are great views of the famous mountain from the street. The room was really basic, with no refrigerator and no way to prepare hot coffee. The breakfast was also basic. We're expecting something else from a place that runs a restaurant upstairs (breakfasts served at the restaurant).
- Nicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Basic Hospedaje. Paper thin walls. Not bad, not great. - Basic Hospedaje. Paper thin walls. Not bad, not great. Basic Hospedaje. Paper thin walls. Not bad, not great.
- Alia (3/5): Uncomfortable stay - Breakfast was nice, friendly staff, laundry service. We had booked 2 rooms with a private bathroom, they only had one of our bookings, they then offered a room with a shared bathroom, even though when they looked at their system, they could see both bookings. We then noticed the following day there had been a room with a private bathroom that no one had stayed in, this was extremely disappointing.
The shower was cold and my brother cut his toe on a broken tile in the bathroom.
The walls are also paper thin, it seems everything has been done on the cheap.

- Niki (7/5): Good - Good and simple place, there was a stove with a fire in the evening that made place very cozy, breakfast was fine, i did a 25km hike in Serro Castillo that day and you need to enter the hike early to get to the top before it's closed. Noone reminded me that breakfast was included.
- Cyrus (9/5): Superb - Wonderful place to stay! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind. They helped us figure out how to get to our next destination, and were very generous. Highly recommend!!
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Susanne (3/5): An absolute No Recommodation - Team of cabana and restaurant absolutely without any interest to make us feel well. Food in restaurant at super low level, plus zero service. We had to find vinegar, oil and salt on various other tabels, same for breakfast where we had to search milk and coffee at other tabels. Room ice cold with awful smell and window to bathroom and not garden. Please look for other option.
- Stefano (9/5): Superb - Great place and atmosphere, family-like hospitality in a beautiful location
- Sara (8/5): Very good - We reserved it last minute and they still welcomed us. The beds were clean and comfy. There was soap in the bathroom. The interior was a bit old, and bit cold. Breakfasts were very simple, no vegetables. No windows in the room, just one in the bathroom.
- Leo (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (7/5): Nice hostel in an amazing environment - The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early, but they let us in the room anyway. The breakfast is basic, but good (we even got eggs the second morning) and the dinner was nice and affordable. They don't really have a menu, so you just have a few options, but they did prepare a vegetarian meal for me even though that was not one of the options.
Our room was spacious and the shower had hot water. The bed also slept comfortable. There is no heating in the room, but in the common area there is a stove and if you leave your door open for a few minutes while the stove is burning, your room will heat u quickly. I don't really understand the really negative reviews here. Shure it is expensive as is everything in this region, but this hostel is definitely a good option for a night or two.
There were a few little things that could be improved. Our shower was quite clogged, so the tub filled up while showering and the walls are pretty thin (although ear plugs do the trick). We didn't have a hair dryer, while I did see one in the other rooms and there is no possibility to make the room completely dark, so I woke up as soon as the sun came out. But those are just some little things, no major issues.
- Roeland (10/5): Great stop for hiking and horseriding. Value for money. - Is like coming home; Maria-Helena & Johnny are so hospitable. Hotel and restaurant run very efficiently; very clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
- Rustom (7/5): Reasonably ok for a day or so - It was mostly good but the heating was extremely poor almost non existent Lack of proper heating
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon_473 (9/5): Real Chilean Hospedaje - Nice apartments run by a family who really tried their best despite our poor Spanish. They offer a good dinner for a fair prize. Would recommend! -
- Helene (7/5): Good - The hosts are really nice and helpful. The room we had was really big and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is basic but ok. The kitchen was not very well equipped.
I think the place is quite pricey and was not as good as expected.
- Samantha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tim (7/5): Good -
- Faye (7/5): Good -
- John (10/5): Comfortable, low key, family hotel with super friendly hosts! - Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. They picked us up at the airport. The next day they drove us to the trailhead for our hike. They provided good breakfasts and two delicious dinners and they helped us with translations and information. The family run hotel is comfortable and the owners could not have been nicer.
- Madeleine (8/5): Very good -
- Toomas (7/5): Good - Reasonable heating that keeps the space warm throughout the night. This shouldn't be taken for granted in Patagonia.
- Sharkey (4/5): Disappointing - It advertised as a cabanya, when in fact it was a hostel, very poor communal room,no facilities.the food was very poor. See above
