Guest Reviews
- Jessica (6/5): -
- Janelle (7/5): Not bad for the price - Nice location close to the beach and airport and climbing areas, fast internet good open spaces. We were only given two rolls of toilet paper for a 2 week stay with 6 people and we had to purchase dishwashing liquid, tissues, toilet paper for the house. The electricity cut out multiple times when we tried to boil the kettle and bunk bed room has no real window so was really noisy. Probably best to sleep 4 adults comfortably and 2 kids.
- Stanislau (6/5): Good value for a quiet location close to the ocean, but a bit neglected and has some flaws. - - Excellent location: the beach is just a few minutes away. If you really don't like lying on pebbles, there are a couple of deck chairs in the storage room on the terrace.
- The village is small, but there are quite a few nice places to eat. The ones we checked out and liked are Blanco Mar (nice location right next to the ocean, specializes on fish dishes) and Andromeda II (inexpensive, general-purpose one if you just want to have a full lunch without pondering the menu too much).
- The house is quite big: there's enough space to (theoretically) fit ten people. There's also some space for your car on the ground floor, but we never used it because there was always some parking space outside and dining right next to the car's front bumper would feel a bit weird.
- The terrace does, in fact, have a little bit of ocean view. It's not exceptionally astounding, but it's there, indeed you can see a piece of the ocean from a specific spot on the roof. - Key collection was extremely unpleasant: the lock wouldn't budge no matter how much we tried to turn the key. We tried to call the owner several times, and every time a different person answered the phone, said they were very sorry and it has never happened before, but someone was about to arrive and solve the problem. The initial ETA was 1 hour, but the administrator (?) actually arrived almost 2.5 hours later – seven people (some of them elderly and handicapped) simply had to sit on the concrete floor near the entrance during all that time. The administrator spent another hour together with us waiting for the locksmith, then the locksmith failed to solve the issue and the administrator was forced to open the door in a very, uhh, unorthodox way. (Thank you! It was very impressive...)
What's disappointing in this whole story is that there was a perfectly functioning garage door right next to the main entrance, but the landlord didn't even have the keys to it. The only key was inside the house, sitting in the keyhole. We had to use it for the entire stay because the main entrance lock remained broken.
- The house has weak wiring: if you're using two bathrooms and an electric kettle simultaneously, get ready for the circuit breaker to trip every half minute.
- WiFi coverage hardly reaches the second floor (this is where all the bedrooms are). Should've been easy to solve with a single signal repeater...
- Cleaning quality was meh: there was dust here and there, dishes were sticky to the touch, etc.
