- An (9/5): Great Loft to Stay - The loft is well-equipped with all the necessities, such as a comfortable bed, kitchen, toaster, microwave, and more. It feels very modern, and the location is quiet, with lush trees surrounding the unit. It is within walking distance to the ferry terminal, Fremantle train station, E Shed, Hay Street, and many other attractions, and is also near Coles. The surrounding area can feel a little too quiet at night, which may be slightly uncomfortable when walking back late, especially for a group of girlfriends. During our stay, we occasionally came across a few homeless individuals around the area, so it may feel a bit less lively after dark. That said, this is more about the surrounding area than the loft itself, which was comfortable and great overall.

- Jeffrey (9/5): Great location, great style and amenities - Location, style. AirCon- on a hot summer day the one air con in the bedroom takes a long time to cool down.
Prefer not to have to bend down to get into bed- loft bedroom tight.
- Ramya (6/5): Cozy space but beware of noise - Situated in a beautiful complex with lush greeneries, close walking distance to lots of Freo hotspots, utilities in the kitchen are clean, had useful appliances like oven, full fridge + freezer, microwave and a washing machine!
The stairs and the low ceiling weren't an issue for us because we only stayed for 2N and didn't have huge suitcases. Good to know before you book:
- You will be asked to provide a $200 deposit and upload your ID documents online prior to check in
- Very noisy, if youre a light sleeper it's highly recommended to bring earplugs
- Bed linen is comfy, but the mattress has dipped so could be changed to a newer one
- Don't expect a warm host service from your usual bnb's stays, this is run by a property management so service is almost non-existent. I personally will stick to hotels or even airbnb next time.
- Phillip (6/5): Won’t recommend or revisit. So disappointed with the apartment but good location. - Great location.
Little French Nest nearby for coffee/breakfast. Apartment is unbearably hot. Noisy AC in loft BR does not cool the apartment which faces full west. Black roof and black blinds in living area don’t help. Entry is shared with rubbish bin access which in the heat is smelly. No bed light above left bedside or bedside table. Nowhere for luggage except on floor, no shelving and very limited hanging space.
- Mark (8/5): - Location and setting
- Hamish (7/5): - Location Neighbourhood noise could be quite loud, head height climbing stairs caused me to hit head a few times
- Judy (10/5): A beautiful, restful place that is close to central Freo. - The location is top-notch, nice cafes serving great coffee and delicious pastries just down the road, and a hidden gem of a wine bar across.
The bed was super comfortable, the little garden had jasmine and other flowering trees, creating a homey, relaxed atmosphere.
As the lofts were located within a gated enclosure, I felt safe staying there as a solo female traveller.
The host, Fremantle Stays, has been providing consistently fantastic service, so that’s another reassuring point to book with them. Probably the two flights of stairs, so may consider leaving the heavier luggage at the living room area the next time.
Also, the bed bench in the bedroom was located at the railings with a low ceiling that sloped downwards, so even at 5 foot 2, I managed to whack my head each time I stood up too fast after getting stuff off the bench. May be a good idea to move the bench next to the window instead, where the ceiling is of normal height 😆
- Gerri (8/5): Very convenient stay for a business trip. - Location was great - very easy walking distance to all the amenities of Fremantle.
Everything was clean and facilities were good. Lofts and sloped ceilings are a pain.
Lots of stairs
Would be very hot in summer.
- Elle (9/5): Absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Was so much more than just a place to stay. - Location.
Garden.
Free parking.
Vibe.
My husband loved bingeing on Paramount while I was at work.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Bev (9/5): Superb - The location was fabulous very central to everything but in a quiet street.
Comfortable bed and everything you needed supplied.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location, comfortable accomodation. Good facilities for a longer stay.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good - Great location, facilities were great, modern apartment. There was a lot of dust in the blinds and moths that came out at night. The apartment gets extremely hot as the afternoon sun hits directly inside and it’s a bit difficult to get the air flow properly throughout the apartment because air con is purely at the top where the bed is.
- Rod (9/5): A delightful unit with a central location set in lovely gardens. - Fabrik loft is such a central location which enabled us to leave the car parked in the secure parking and walk to many different venues all within 10-15 minutes. It was such a quiet spot with lovely gardens out the front of each of the 16 units. The split system cooled the whole place down so was a real benefit for our stay. The sky light with a sturdy flyscreen was great and being summer we opened it the whole night which allowed fresh air to enter without needing to turn on the air conditioner. The fairly steep staircase up to the loft would probably not be easy for anyone with knee issues or lacking strength as we had to carry the suitcases to the top where the bed was. We found it fine but others may not.
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional - This was the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in Australia. It’s very well located, you can reach everything by foot, also very close to the train station and to the ferry terminal to Rottnest Island. That was the main reason I booked it in the first place. But I seriously enjoyed my time here, I adored this apartment!
- David (9/5): Our stay in Fremantle. - The location was excellent. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We liked that most places of interest were easy to walk to. The Fremantle prison is on 12 min walk. Instructions to gain access to the property were clear and helpful. Off steet private parking was a bonus. The apartment location was quiet and away from noise. The bathroom drain smelt a bit during the stay. The over the bath shower was okay, but the bath standing area became very slippery when wet. Hot water out of the taps was almost at boiling point, so be careful. Overall though, a very nice stay.
- Olivia (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (10/5): The second time did not disappoint.. great place to stay - Peaceful, and well positioned.
Loved it so much we came back for a second time
- Shannon (10/5): Cosy, comfortable and central. - So cosy and comfortable. It was absolutely immaculate. Furnishings and decor was tasteful. Prime location. Lots of lovely little touches.
- Jeff (10/5): Beautiful loft apartment centrally located in Fremantle - We loved this beautifully styled loft apartment. It’s very central in Fremantle. We highly recommend this apartment.
We loved breakfast at the French Nest cafe just down the road There was nothing we disliked.
- Bruce (10/5): Close to town but tucked away - Great location close to town, but very quiet. Cool "loft" vibe within a mews of similar apartments. Excellent off street parking.
- Shub (8/5): Very good - Quietness of the property. Well located to the shops, restaurants and the market. Not that it was a problem, but the loft has a few stairs to negotiate.
- Heather (9/5): Comfortable, clean and convenient - The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Nicely furnished. It was very central to Fremantle with many restaurants and bars and the train station within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend, noting that there are a few steps up to the living area and a few more to the loft area. Everything was great - if you had to push me, we were unlucky with the weather - it was quite cold and whilst the heating heated up the loft area really well, it took a while to filter down to the living area.
- Jacqueline (5/5): Passable - Heating didn’t sufficiently heat the apartment
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Chez (9/5): Beautiful loft with loads of character - Loads of character and is the perfect location. Beautifully decorated with it feeling like home away from home.
We loved staying here. The sofa wasn't the best to sit on.
The lounge room could do with a small fan heater during winter as the aircon didn't warm down stairs.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (9/5): Obvious attention paid by management to style and presentation.Non abtrusive friendly attitude. - Minor maintenance needed to bathroom taps
- Michelle (10/5): Fabulous!!! - there was a Little French Nest Cafe only few steps away from the apartment which we enjoyed breakfast every morning. The apartment had a great little courtyard area which we enjoyed a few pre dinner vinos before heading out at night..We said hello to several of the neighbours which I think may owed their apartments and all were very friendly. Fabulous location , so close to heart of Fremantle...Felt very safe walking to and from the streets . nothing...mind you wouldn't want to be 6foot in the loft...I'm only 5'4 so I had no problems bumping my head on the ceiling...one side is very much higher.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (8/5): Lovely apartment, great location! - Great location and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Stairs ok for us but would be difficult for older people. Had to be careful of the Loft roof going up the stairs, would hit your head.
- Michael (10/5): Pleasant stay in convenient location - Quiet & secure location, close to town. Not for those who have a problem with stairs
- John (7/5): Good - Close to restaurants & Fremantle harbor BUT still quiet. Apartment a little “tired” could fo with a refresh. Access to loft is steep & difficult for older people.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the cleaning was perfect.
The all atmosphere of the place is amazing Nothing
- Anne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Larn (10/5): Quiet but central Fremantle explorer - The location is great, as you can walk to all the Fremantle attractions but it's a bit more quiet, so no worries sleeping. The home is very cute and fun to stay in. The host was great, as we were able to check in a little early (we asked nicely), and they were very responsive to a question we had by SMS. The other people living in the small complex were also friendly. More a quirk then an actual problem, but due to the raked ceiling, you need to watch your head when going up the stairs to the sleeping loft level. On the living level the ceiling is nice and high, and when on the sleeping level, it's fine, so don't let this deter you from staying here! It's great.
- Tahlya (10/5): New York New York!!! - Amazing what you can do in small space. It was so comfortable and cosy, very stylish if you like this NY warehouse loft style, which we absolutely do.
I had the best sleep I've had in months. The couch is just as comfy( fell asleep there, too).
The art the quirky little nik naks, the styling even the choice in glassware I loved.
We had a lovely welcome message and a bottle of wine complimentary milk teas, coffee machine, and pods. Everything you would need to stay is provided.
So close to cafe strip restaurants, pubs clubs just a 5-10min walk great for New Years.
On-site secured parking lovely gardens lovely neighbours.
We will be staying again. Watch your head at the top of the stairs to the bedroom. Especially if your 6ft or over. We are both under 6ft and walked into the ceiling a few times on our way down and up. It's not a dislike it was quite funny for us, but any taller may be awkward.😆
- Florence (9/5): Wonderful stay, great as a base to see other parts of the area. Will be back. - Brilliant location, walking distance to everything. Great cafes, beach and museums all so close. Carparking on the premises meant we didn't need to use the car.
Loft was wonderful, loved the quirky artwork and retro cups, everything you needed was there.
Beautiful gardens to sit in and enjoy. Stairs could be a challenge.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Great choice for a weekend getaway in Fremantle - Location is excellent. Off street parking is a bonus. Very comfortable couch and bed. Well equipped kitchen. It was reasonably warm the weekend we stayed. The black blinds really sucked in the heat and the air con struggles to cool the living area. Close proximity to the bin room means there is a pervasive smell in the courtyard
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location Nothing. It is a perfect place to stay in Freo.
- Lewis (8/5): Great apartment, would return - Great location and cute little loft style apartment. Quiet courtyard was lovely. Ceiling height for the bedroom is limited going up the stairs!
- Mok (9/5): Superb -
