- Laura (10/5): Lovely & comfortable homestay with everything that you need for a good holiday - Everything was as described. Linda & Hilton welcomed me into their home, complete with kitten, dog & birds! The room is comfortable and has a good shower. I was able to use the kitchen for some light cooking and there is a separate fridge for guests. The location is good; the supermarket and the beach are both around 1 mile away - around 20 minutes walk, but the availability of bicycles made it easier to reach them, and I was also able to go explore further on the bike and go to some of the more distant beaches. I found it a bit difficult to pay in cash, as I was coming from Haiti (where I'm working) and couldn't get cash easily before travelling. Unfortunately the multi-currency card that I had set up for the trip didn't work in the ATMs. But we were able to sort it out in the end with a bank transfer.
- Anonymous (10/5): Great! - I had a wonderful stay at this property! Everything was super clean and incredibly comfortable—truly felt like a home away from home. Hilton and Linda were absolutely lovely; they were so welcoming, kind, and made sure everything was perfect during my visit. Their hospitality really made the experience stand out. I highly recommend staying here and would gladly come back again!
- Arnoud (6/5): Room for 1 night is ok - The owners are very nice and accomodating. Room is not that big and you have to pay additional $20,- to use the AC but the fan is okay. Bed is a bit hard but still good to sleep. Bathroom was good! They had some issues with ants and large centipede was outside my room. Building is old but youll be fine for 1 night. Checking in was awkward since it was unclear and had to walk into their bedroom
- Marta (10/5): Would recommend to everyone! Wonderful stay! - It was a wonderful stay! I loved everything about it. Unique place, full of greenary, with wonderful hosts, amazing parrots and cutest dog;)
Everything was super clean, you can use fully-equpited kitchen, with seasonings (which was importrant for me). Beach is just 20minutes be walk, with a bar and wild places near. For sure will come back! Thank you!
- Ulf (10/5): Staying here was a very nice start of my Bahamas vacation. - This is a very small hotel with only a couple of rooms, and it is like staying in a private house. The host is extremely nice and helpful with everything. The location is a couple of miles from the beach where you can walk or rent a bike.
- Silvia (9/5): Best place in Freeport - Position was perfect close to beatiful Tiano beach and some restaurants.
Linda and her husband were very polite she gave us some advice of where have a good dinner.
- Quirke (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable, felt more like home than being a guest.
- Craig (10/5): Friendly hosts. Comfortable. A self contained room in a larger house. - Friendly hosts that made one feel welcome and gave good advice on what to see. Feels like a home because it largely is a home, but you have your own bathroom and bedroom with comfortable furnishing and bed. Wonderful value and very friendly hosts. It is a bit hard to find. The booking.com link doesn't take you close. If you search on the address in google, you end up going to a place titled "Bajamar Bed & Breakfast" but that is not the place, but close. The host was very responsive when I called, gave me the cross street, and met me outside.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - I'm so glad I stayed here. Linda and Hilton are wonderful people. I stayed for the weekend without a car, but it wasn't a problem because Linda picked me up from the airport and drove me anywhere I needed to go. She gave me a tour of Freeport and helped me plan my vacation to make sure I had a great time. I can fully recommend their property.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Linda and Hilton were great hosts. Lovely friendly people and it was good to have their local knowledge and tips about the area.
- Wendy (10/5): Pleasant stay with friendly locals - Linda & Hilton were wonderful hosts: friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We appreciated them offering a tour of the beaches and recommendations for rental agencies and activities. Their menagerie of animals is also fun. It's a convenient location but it's much easier and affordable to get around this island with a rental car, which Linda helped us to acquire. Brad's Car Rental directly from the airport is the way to go.
- Konrad (10/5): Exceptional - It Was wonderfull . Linda and Hilton were just great . Such a nice people . I felt there like family member . Pleace was very clean and ogranized .
- Rowena (10/5): Wonderful!!! The most incredible hosts. - Linda and Hilton were the most increasingly hosts. They were very kind and welcoming. I felt very safe at there property as a solo female traveller. The local beach Coral beach is a 20 min walk away along a straight road, and was one of the cleanest most quiet beaches I’ve ever been to. Port Lucaya was great for restaurants especially Agave, would recommend . I shall 100% be back in the next two years to Bajamar guest house. Five stars all round!. Nothing I can comment on.
- Ingemar (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect!
A beautiful place! Super nice staff! Nothing.
- Christine (10/5): A true gem in the Bahamas, don’t hesitate - I don’t know where to start, it was just that amazing. Honestly we just had one week in the Bahamas (first timers) and thought a long time if we would stay just in Freeport or do some island hopping with Nassau and Exuma but staying with Linda in Freeport this entire week was the best decision ever. First of all, if you like bed and breakfast style stays with really clean and comfy rooms and your own super clean bathroom. This is it. I encourage everyone to take the 10USD/pp breakfast because Hilton’s pancakes and the fruit breakfast are insanely good. They change it daily and we loved it. You get coffee right when you wake up this way. Linda’s house is spacious, clean and full of tropical style art from her son and her family is warm and welcoming. You feel like part of the family right away. The best part was the close-by Coral Beach and the bar LaRoc next to it. It looks like a Bahamas postcard. Don’t miss the Fish Fry every Wednesday at Smith Point. We would stay with Linda every single time if we could!! There’s not a single thing that we didn’t like. So the only downside I could think of is that neither the supermarket nor the beach are in comfortable walking distance. So a rental car (around 50usd/day) is recommended. There’s basically no public transportation or uber, keep that in mind. So with a car it’s like 4min to both supermarket and beach but by foot it’s minimum 30-45min. But Linda drove us for a small gas fee to all places we needed to get to so it’s not really an issue, just worth mentioning. Most tours (swimming with pigs, sunset cruises) pick you up at the door anyways. If you want to discover the island all the way to the Lucaya national park and beautiful pelican point a rental car is the only way.
- Haylie (10/5): Bahama Bliss at Bajamar! 🇧🇸 - Linda was the perfect host, she picked us up from the airport, helped us organise things with her trusted contacts, it was the perfect balance of a hotel stay but with proper Bahemian culture.
We had all the space and privacy we needed, but also had her to chat with when wanted.
Every morning she cooks a beautiful big breakfast for you to start your day. Linda had so much knowledge on the local area and places to go and was so helpful to us.
It had all the amenities of a hotel but also felt like home.
Our room and bathroom were spotless clean, we had access to kitchen & fridge if required.
Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend staying here to everyone!
Make sure you ask for Hiltons pancakes, they are the best! Nothing, we had no complaints at all.

- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - I loved my stay !!! Linda and Hilton are your parents away from home. They make you feel like family. My room was so peaceful the warm colorful walls and waking up to the parrots talking was heaven sent. It was so safe you could walk to the beach, but they will help you to and from for just gas money. I also got the infamous breakfast you have to get it the banana pancakes were so good !
I really really really wish I could stay longer it’s sad I had to go. But I will definitely be back my family for life ! Xx 😊☺️🤞💛
- Janet (10/5): pleasantly surprised and very comfortable stay, enjoyed talking with the hosts!! - the hosts were great. never stayed in a room in the house before, but we had our own bathroom. also had to pay extra for a/c but it was still lower than all the hotels! We didn’t realize it wasn’t totally private until we got there. but after talking with the hosts decided to stay, they were very nice! Freeport economy is still recovering after Dorian, so we were glad to help individuals.
- Marian (10/5): Exceptional - Linda is a wonderfull host , she offered to help a lot of times .
I really enjoyed spending few days at her home ...
- Lukas (10/5): Great stay with very friendly hosts. Highly recommended! - Linda and Hilton are amazing hosts. They made me feel at home immediately even though I booked very last minute. The room is absolutely amazing with enough space and a very comfortable bed. Linda and Hilton gave a lot of advice on what to do and where to go on the island and even arranged a rental bike for me the same day I arrived. Also they are happy to help you by giving a ride to the bike shop, the airport or the ferry. The location is pretty central, as you can get to the market place and the beach within 10 minutes on the bike. Walking would be longer, but still the supermarket is about 15 minutes away on foot. Overall a great experience!
- Nicolesattler (10/5): Exceptional - I had a pleasant stay at this place. The hosts are so lovely and helpful. It was the best way to stay in Freeport for me. I got all the information I needed, I had really nice talks, I got the best recommendations of local people and they organised many things for me. When I will come back one day, it will be that place for sure.
- Sandhu (10/5): An excellent place to stay in Freeport. - Breakfasts were always great. Tasty and in large quantities. All was satisfactory
- Iain (10/5): Exceptional - Linda and Hilton are very welcoming and very willing to share their local knowledge eg to help me hire a car and find interesting places to visit, and to chat about Grand Bahama. Their home is comfortable and the use of a fridge was very helpful!
- Ruby (10/5): This was a Blessed Trip. - It was a home away from home experience!. Everything about the accommodation, property, location and Hospitality.
- Swiza (10/5): Exceptional -
