Marko (1/5): This is a bait & switch scam, avoid. - Absolutely nothing. I had a terrible experience with a listing that turned out to be completely inaccurate. The owner seemed to be using deceptive tactics, as they kept 50% of my payment even when I canceled right after checking in. Booking.com was unable to help with a refund since the owner refused. I was misled into believing that my room would have a fridge, microwave, and kettle, but there was only a shared kitchen with a microwave in a dim, foul-smelling area. The so-called "boutique residence" was actually a run-down apartment with motion-sensor lights that kept turning off, making it difficult to even sit in the common areas. The bathroom had the same issue, so have fun doing your business in the dark. I had come to Malaysia to work remotely and specifically booked the queen deluxe room for 29 nights because of the promised kitchenette. When I discovered it was nonexistent, I tried to get a refund and leave, but the owner was uncooperative and dismissive. They first blamed Booking.com, then claimed they couldn't issue refunds, and eventually accused me of being a scammer, asking intrusive personal questions. I felt unsafe with the numerous CCTV cameras and the owner's intrusive behavior, so I decided to leave and find a hotel. The helper who checked me in mentioned that the owner monitored the CCTV to enforce a no-shoe policy, and that other tenants rarely left their rooms. The building itself was in a dilapidated state, and I later learned from local friends that the area wasn't safe, especially at night. The advertised market was a small, poorly stocked corner store that didn't accept credit cards. In hindsight, I should have consulted with my friends before renting there. I strongly urge you to avoid this place and the owner at all costs – my experience was truly disappointing. I'm sure the owner has some great story to tell in the reply but believe him at your own peril.
