Guest Reviews
- Joseph (8/5): A Jolly Time.. - Location.. Great 👍🏽 Bed was funny, not the mattress; but alright still..
Aircon next to bed wasn't working. However, the one in the kitchen worked. No one room as such , a big living with a section turned into a makedo bedroom with a large screen/curtain. Yet, for us it was still alright.
- Erica (8/5): - Loved the bathrooms and appreciated the blinds and cleanliness of the apartment and the fantastic communication with the hosts. Was beautiful to wake up to the flood of sunshine in the living room. It's a bit noisy with the highway. Didn't bother me so much but my friend, who is a light sleeper, kept waking. Would be great to have a more comfortable sofa
- M (4/5): Not good for sleep or rest - Visually, this place looks great. It is spacious with ample room, a big pretty well-stocked kitchen, nice looking floors, nice patio, and it has an amazing view of the oceanfront.
It was extremely clean, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, this place has more cons than pros.
1. The level of noise coming from upstairs was unbearable. I had to wear earplugs both night and day just to get by. The structure of the house is such that every step taken by people upstairs sounds like elephants stomping overhead. The walls are EXTREMELY thin, and I could hear everything from the people above, including talking at a normal level and even snoring.
2. Additionally, the floor vibrates when people walk/stomp upstairs. It seems like the vibrations also come whenever a machine upstairs is turned on - maybe the heating/cooling unit or a tub? While lounging in bed, I could feel each stomp from upstairs. I was even woken up from my bed shaking one time in the middle of the night (and from the aforementioned noise).
3. The bed situation is pretty janky. It is sitting on cardboard boxes. The end of the bed hangs over the carboard and isn't fully supported, leading it to slope down. As a result, you couldn't really sit on the end of the bed without sliding down. Perhaps if the mattress was sitting firm on a solid frame, then I wouldn't have been feeling shakes whenever people upstairs would walk.
4. Broken blinds need to be fixed so that they provide adequate coverage for privacy. Front door is fully exposed and needs curtains/shades/blinds for privacy.
- leanne (9/5): Lovely location with an incredible view. Was comfortable and spacious - The view and location stairs
- Rebecca (10/5): Great location, amazing views, exceptionally clean—overall, we loved our stay. - The views were amazing I would have preferred a larger lounge area, as there is only one TV and it wasn’t ideal for more than one person.
- jas (10/5): -
- Melanie (8/5): Great for what we needed, comfortable, tidy, convenient and fantastic view all the way to Melbourne - View was amazing
Modem and quirky home
The bed is so comfortable
Was great to have shampoo and body wash available other than tiny little tubes Full size mirror would be good. Maybe a few more wine glasses, there were only bubbles glasses. 2 seater couch would also be better than the padded single chairs
- Mani (10/5): - Great view Nil
- Currie (7/5): Great location and amazing view basic housekeeping such as windows and tracks could be cleaner. - Location was good. Very comfortable beds A little sparse for me. Very low quality in crockery and utensils. Owners could go and buy quality plates and glassware no basic utensils such as tongs egg slice etc. what was there not of a high standard not quite luxury. Towels were over washed and scratchy
- Cecelia (9/5): The unit was in a beautful location and very comfortable - The view was expansive and the unit was very spacious Bathroom so far from the bed and it needed drawers for clothes
- Gary (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay, awesome location and views - Location was fantastic, views over the ocean. Furniture was very sparse, and a couple of pieces need replacing, outside table especially
- Kay (9/5): Fabulous location, views and comfort. - This is our third time staying at Pudding's and once again we had a wonderful stay. We have previously stayed in the two bedroom "home" but this time we stayed in the one bedroom. We really liked the open plan relaxed feel, the equally stunning views, and all the thoughtful ammenities provided. Such a fabulous location opposite a beautiful beach and an easy walk to cafes, bars and restaurants - also the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula with all it has to offer.
- Loz (7/5): - The view was lovely
Telescope was a fun touch There was some confusion in the instructions that would be easily preventable if the owner changed the confirmation message
Beds were too soft but thats individual preferamce
Adding some bathroom items like make up removers or toothbrush kits would be nice
Some other accom have more extra touches
- Landers (10/5): Fantastic location with incredible views of the bay. Extremely - We loved the view over the bay, it was extremely comfortable and clean with all the essential amenities. We found getting our car in and out of the property a bit tricky.
- Julia (8/5): Room with an amazing view - I really liked the location and view and the apartment had everything you needed. The upstairs noise was difficult to sleep through with people walking on floor boards, but the owners were very apologetic and helped to rectify the situation
- sung hyun (10/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): Great spot, view just delightful. - View was astounding. There was items missing from the amenities list - a clothes dried (which we need we and messaged the host but did not respond), the free bottle of wine promised and an oven!! The master bedroom light also flickered so we couldn’t have it on.
- Stef Andre (10/5): Perfect Frankston stay - LOCATION: Across the beach, short walk to bus stops, walking distance to town center, easy to find.
UNIT; PERFECT for all seasons, AC everywhere, heaters in both bathrooms, big bathtub, solid telescope, fast wifi, smart TV, books & boardgames.
Fast communication with the owners.
EVERYTHING that you would want for a very comfortable home. We will definitely book again for.our next trip.
- Adam (9/5): Stunning views for our adult getaway. - Amazing views, awesome location, clean, airy and bright home.
AC in both bedrooms and main was nice, ensuite in both. The owners were very nice to allow us to request an earlier than original check in time, and their requested instructions are clear, concise, and not a problem. Clean up after yourself, keep the noise down and dont clump around the place in shoes to keep the neighbours up.
It really is a sensational place to stay, just a couple of minor things and it would be 10/10 for me. The beds, though very comfortable with nice linens etc are both doubles, and folks like us 6 foot plus would prefer Queens, fine for shorter people, of course!!
No oven for pizza etc, but there IS microwave, coffee and tea facilities, dishwasher and washer drier which was very nice.
Another issue I wasn't used to was the water temp being affected so quickly and intensely if other taps are used.
We were sharing with friends and most times we showered there were moments when the water was suddenly very, very cold. More of a concern was it going extremely hot, and it was hot enough to scald a young child. A tempering valve may sort that safety wise.
Hey, the water is very hot which is great, but someone in the other bedroom washing their hands makes it a lively experience best kept short.
The owners do state the property not really recommended for kids under 12, and I can see why. The window in our room opened to a full storey drop, make sure it's kept locked if you have little ones.
- Irene (9/5): A comfortable stay with spectular views all around - Beautifully refurbished apartment, especially the bathrooms. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment upstairs and it was very open and spacious with a spectacular view all around (even in winter!). The telescope was a nice bonus! Conveniently close to everything we needed, will definitely book when working this way again! We had to be a bit more mindful of noise due to the floorboards causing more noise for downstairs tenants, though can be easily resolved and reduced by wearing slippers.
Also agree with other comments regarding the couch :)
- Petra (9/5): Superb - Great cozy place, comfortable beds
- Christine (8/5): Scenic perfection - Very clean, beautifully designed and maintained No oven
- Leanne (9/5): I absolutely loved my stay - Beautiful extensive views of Port Phillip
Comfy beds
Gorgeous bathrooms
Easy check on and out Maybe a lounge with arm rests
- Clayton (9/5): Superb - needs a blind on front door
- Sue (9/5): Clean, amazing view and lovely bathrooms - The view was astounding Maybe a more comfy sofa would've been nice but overall fabulous
- Tracey (7/5): Good - the property needs better bedding and pillows on the beds, a big rug in the kitchen to reduce sound thank you
- Sandra (9/5): Over all the apartment was spaces absolutely fabulous views. - Nil The thing that let this apartment down was the pillow cases and duvet cover they weren't iron. They came out of the dryer and straight onto the bed . Also for an elderly person it would have been good to know there were a lot of stairs to climb .
- Dee (9/5): Coming back to the accommodation was just as good as going out siteseeing! - It is very modern and new inside - it’s been beautifully renovated.
The ocean view is out of this world!
- Dane (9/5): Clean, modern, comfortable with great views and in a good private location - Views
- Stuart (7/5): Good -
- Hanley (10/5): Exceptional - It was spacious and comfortable with the most beautiful views from every window. The balcony was great for sunsets. Excellent water pressure in the bathrooms and well equipped with supplies of toiletries and extra items that are a bonus. A stunning home indeed ! Nothing
- Kay (9/5): Superb - Wow! What a gorgeous place to stay. The view across the bay is stunning and the apartment has everything you need and is tastefully decorated. We LOVED the raised bath with the window looking out to the sea. Such a beautiful walk, across the road, along the Frankston foreshore with a pristine beach. We walked to the Cheeky Squire for dinner one night and loved the food and outlook there and also to Waves, which is right on the beach and again great food. Hope to stay again.
- Natasha (7/5): The location was excellent, they just need to work on the finer details. - The view was excellent, and walking distance to the beach was excellent The bath towels were thin old and smelly. And the one tea towel provided was dirty and unwashed. The linen and pillows on the bed were also not the best.
And no lounge suite made relaxing a bit difficult
- Peta (9/5): Superb - Great views, great location
- Nick (8/5): Very helpful hosts, and I would look to return. - Location to beach and my mothers house in Mt Eliza was perfect. Cold water swim and swimmer community was 5 minute walk. The blinds weren't all functioning to black out light for sleeping.
- Farnsworth (9/5): This was truly a luxury overnight experience. It was clean, high quality and attention to detail. - The location was impeccable with sweeping, uninterrupted views of Port Phillip Bay and a night time scene of the city skyline that looked like fairy lights.
The bedding was like sleeping in a cloud. It was scrupulously clean and with beautiful designer decor. There were quality coffee and teas provided. We couldn't find sugar for the quality coffee and coffee machine that was provided and a spare UHT milk would have been nice.
