Guest Reviews
- Joseph (10/5): - Everything was amazing. The hosts were so helpful as I had issues with travel. It was in such a beautiful space with so much wildlife nearby. The actually accomodation was so cute and I couldn't believe how nice the interior was. If you go you must try the outdoor bath. It was such an iconic part of the trip!😂 There is nothing to improve on
- Daisy (10/5): How we relax - Beautiful and tranquil. There was nothing we didnt like.
- Paul (8/5): - Great location More light in the bath and sink areas
- Daniel (9/5): Magical - If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life this place is quite unique. From the outdoor bath to the amazing view of the countryside warmed my heart. Also had the pleasure of meeting Russell the owner and he ensured that we were comfortable. Highly recommend this beautiful place Nothing
- Alicia (10/5): - Loved the seclusion and the location. Beautiful and tranquil. My children kept asking if it could be our new home. More so a warning that the driveway is extremely steep sloped. The parking for the property can be a little confusing however the location allows for the parking situation.
- Adrian (10/5): Oasis - The setting, the location and the peace Nothing
- David (8/5): - Cute carriage conversion.
- August (9/5): Beautiful stay! - Beautiful location and hosts were friendly and responsive. We had my father (in his 60s) with us and we weren’t aware of the steep driveway prior to arriving. We managed but would have preferred a wee heads up!

- Gavin (10/5): - Beautiful hot water Bath plugs
- Stockmeier (10/5): -
- Patricia (4/5): Definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. - It’s beautiful surroundings and the peace and quiet. The sharp incline that made it very difficult to manoeuvre especially for older people with mobility issues. Plus having a bathroom that you had to negotiate a path to.
- Margaret (9/5): It was a totally enjoyable stay and a great way to slow down. - The location was fantastic. It was so peaceful and enabled us to be surrounded by nature.
It was very rustic but the rooms were very comfortable and the beds exceptionally comfortable . There wasn't much not to like. Maybe some people might find some of the landscape a bit steep if they are not very fit.

- Noela (9/5): Celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary will be one we won’t forget due to the unique carriage cabin & wonderful - We loved that it was far enough away from Shopping Centres & heavy traffic but close enough to cafes & anything else we needed. We didn’t realise the area around the Carriage Cabin was quite undulating grounds so being on the other side of 60 with some old knee injuries it was important to take care & take it a bit slower. Easy to do when the surrounding scenery & gardens are so tropical & relaxing.
- Sheppard (10/5): - Loved it, was perfect for me and my toddler for her first little holiday, the owners were very understanding and offered any help that I needed.
- Dagmar (10/5): Gorgeous natural stay - So simple but comfortable and great nature around. We loved fire place and outdoor bath Na
- Roxanne (8/5): -
- Ward (10/5): Relaxing getaway - I loved everything especially the outside bath nice an relaxing.
- Tina (10/5): - Beautiful place, up on the hill. So many lovely touches like the little soap and a packet of microwave popcorn and fire-starting kit including marshmallows that the kids got into. Also enjoyed an outdoor bath under the stars, with bubble bath!
- Jodie (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - This was a charming and surprisingly spacious cottage in a lovely location. There two double beds, which worked well for our family. There was everything else we needed for a short stay--there was no TV, but that was refreshing and we had a blast playing a board game in the cabin. There was milk awaiting us in the fridge along with coffee for the morning. It exceeded our expectations!
- Sylvia (10/5): Beautiful place. - Set in a beautiful forest setting, rotunda outside. Loved the outdoor bath too. All good.
- Marika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dao (10/5): Exceptional - A really lovely place to stay, peaceful and everything we needed. The kids loved toasting the marshmallows over the fire and the complimentary breakfast was a treat :-) thank you, we’ll definitely be back
- Max (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very nice and facilities were good
- Shiju (6/5): Pleasant -
- Loren (10/5): Tranquil unique little gem of a stay tucked up in the beautiful hills - Stunning location, photos really don’t do it justice! Beautiful little touches like children’s storybooks on the bed, marshmallows and hot chocolate for the children, and the board games were a hit for the kids. They felt like very personal touches, and we felt so at home! Tucked up in a beautiful location in the hills, with an IGA nearby in Mooloolah Valley and a great Indian takeaway in Palmwoods, and a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Sunshine Coast. The hosts were also super accommodating throughout our stay. We would 100% return! The reviews previously left by others. We are glad we didn’t read these until shortly before…our experience was certainly a really positive and happy one!
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharyn (7/5): Very relaxing and cosy. Loved the ambience. - Water pressure was poor.
- Alana (10/5): Unique glamping getaway - Would absolutely recommend if you like glamping or camping and enjoy the outdoors. Outdoor bathroom was very unique! We all enjoyed an outdoor shower and bath, it was very peaceful and secluded. The cabin was very comfortable, the little kitchenette had everything we needed. Our host had the air con on and lovely little touches ready for our stay. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. Loved the gazebo and firepit which was just outside the cabin. We ordered the breakfast hamper so we didn't have to leave too early in morning. If you don't like nature or the outdoors this is not the holiday for you.
Amazeworld is worth a visit and less than 20 mins away. Plenty of things to do with kids in the area. Big Pineapple was disappointing, would recommend waiting until they have completed stage 2. Palmwoods Spar (supermarket) is pretty basic. Woombye Spar is about 10 mins away and had a much better range.
- Mia (9/5): Super cute - It was so quaint and different. Defence an experience. We were very lucky that the weather was nice as we only had the pergola area to sit and socialise. But we did like this and had a great time.

- Allan (10/5): Exceptional -

- Cassandra (10/5): Absolute magic 💖 - Wonderful hosts going the extra mile; incredible area and facilities. I was in heaven. There isn't a single photo or video that could capture the reality of the experience.
- Scott (10/5): Loved the short time I was there. Old school facilities done in a modern way. Peaceful property -
- Lisamarie (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing would definitely stay again - Outdoor bath Shelving in outdoor shower to put dry clothes
- Shona (8/5): Very good - Beautiful. Just the main bed had wheels so that made it difficult to get comfy in bed. But everything else was perfect
- Jeremy (4/5): Disappointing all round. - The surrounding area was nice No address given had to ask at neighbours (apparently this happens a bit). No mention of the communal bathroom in the ad. The door didn't lock, blinds didn't work on some windows, missing on others. Room not clean. Food scraps from prev guests in the fridge. Room full of insects. The bed was on wheels on a hard floor so it rolled every time I rolled over. LONG steep walk from the car to the accommodation and to the bathrooms. The bath is only screened with lattice from the seats by the dam so no privacy at all. This combined with the lack of blinds and curtains and the gaping holes around the toilets led my 13yo to describe this as a perverts paradise. They have a point. If this was a $120 a night 2 star caravan park I would have been mildly disappointed by the facilities and upkeep. For over $200 it's just not good enough. Felt like they're trying to sell poor upkeep and unnecessary inconvenience as rustic charm. I wasn't sold.
- Prosser (7/5): Lovely helpful hosts - Loved the birds to photograph and the view. needs a bit more maintenance
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Really lovely property. Excellent, communicative hosts. We loved the outdoor bath and pergola. Felt very connected with the outdoors! We had great weather which was a bonus. Lots of room for the kids to run around.
- Debbie (10/5): Amazing place for a short break! - Beautiful surroundings, nice outdoor bathroom, quiet and peaceful!!
- Gail (9/5): Superb -
- Juanita (7/5): Great for a quick getaway locally to catch up with family. We might be back with more family. - No breakfast provided. Liked the rustic setting and fire pit. The gazebo space and view was nice too. The neighbours were close so they would have been smoked out by the fire pit. I would suggest improvements such as paper towels to clean the bbq with, a tea towel and scourer. We also had plunger coffee only supplied but no plunger. Plus salt and pepper would have been appreciated. Would have been nice if the dam area was mowed.
- Richard (8/5): Lovely peaceful stay - Loved the outdoor bath and the fire , beautiful spot , had everything we needed Steep driveway and tight to turn around when there was another car down the bottom, easier just to park up top
- Kayla (10/5): Thank you, it was fantastic - Lovely hosts
- Taj (10/5): Exceptional - Very accommodating and the breakfast and picnic hampers were amazing!! The outdoor bath was very relaxing and just a great experience overall
- Shanen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (9/5): Memorable expirience for the family. Small issue resolved quickly in a friendly manner. Highly recomend if your looking - Unique and lots of fun. Nothing
- Nikki (6/5): Great memories - Quiet
Nice environment
Bath fabulous
Calm pleasant place It needed a corkscrew
Lacks a mirror inside their bedroom
Out under the veranda dishwashing area I got rained on...but all part of the experience
- Anna (7/5): Good -
- Georgina (9/5): Superb -
- Belinda (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (7/5): We were lucky with the weather and the cabin was very well presented - It was quaint and novel, and our overseas visitors loved it If we had bad weather the review may be a little different at facilities are all outside
- Lyn (6/5): Cute concept but information lacking about access , bathroom , privacy when other cabin in use - Peaceful, close to town Nothing on website mentioned access issues to property. Not told about steep driveway or not being able to park close to cabin and then having to lug bags up and down another slope until morning of check in.
Website did say outdoor bath but neglected to mention that the entire bathroom wasn’t attached to the cabin but a seperate building. Nor that there was garden trellis surround- other people staying on site- no privacy if they wanted to go for a walk around property. There was zero privacy with people studying in top cabin that could look straight down onto the bath block.Couldn’t come out of the small shower to get dressed or run across to the cabin to get dressed. Not enough hooks in shower to put stuff so had to put stuff on floor which gets wet. Mirror on vanity way too low to be useable. Lucky it wasn’t raining or using outdoor bathroom would have been a nightmare.
There is no lighting on the track that you have to use to get to the cabin.
