Guest Reviews
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Kristie (9/5): Beautiful old world stay in the heart of Melbourne - Beautifully furnished apartment so close to Spencer Street and Southern Cross Station. Complimentary port and chocolate was a lovely touch as well! Loved the antiques and aesthetic. Hosts were very welcoming and provided lots of information. Nothing
- Garland (9/5): Having arrived on Christmas Eve, it was lovely to be greeted with a few festive touches. - Extremely quirky and well laid out. Beds very comfortable. Lovely welcoming touches. No microwaveable pots.
No beakers/glasses of same size for 4 people.
Table needs proper seating to have a meal at.
- Rebekah (10/5): The apartment was close to the stadium. - The bed was comfortable and the apartment was clean. The view from the balcony was epic
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely apartment with a difference. Very quirky and gorgeously styled. Little extras that made it fun and unique. Would definitely stay again. Picking up and dropping off the keys from the busiest street in Melbourne was the only negative of this stay! Parking incredibly difficult... if you have someone who can jump in and out to pick up the keys, then yay! Must be the person who made the booking with photo ID.
- Travis (10/5): - This was the best room I have ever booked.
Have never stayed in a place with such character, absolutely stunning home
Cant wait to book this place again

- Suzanne (9/5): Great! - Great location for what we wanted. Clean and comfortable. Some lovely personal touches, including a welcome gift. Nothing.
- Catherine (8/5): A too short stay. Lovely apartment, great pillows!!! - Beautifully designed. Thoughtful!!! I dearly wish there was a second car park available.
- Lady Milla (10/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): Best experience for a stay in Melbourne. Most comfortable beds and airy bedrooms. - We loved the entire apartment. It was a pleasure staying somewhere where the owners obviously care about their guests and want them to have a great stay.
- Julie-anne (10/5): Tastefully decorated from a time gone by when the world spun a lot slower. - Once we actually picked up the keys, it was relatively easy to get into the car park and building. The port and chocolates at the end of the night was a lovely touch, sitting out on the balcony watching the night lights. The linen and beds were very comfortable. Lots of lovely touches in the apartment. Some photos actually showing you which roller door and laneway to access the car park would have been helpful, given we checked in after a few drinks!
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Quirky and elegant
- Charmian (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the quirky old style furnishings and all the little personal touches Nothing
- Katrina (8/5): A comfy retreat from Melbourne forays - The personal touches and generosity with the decor is a big plus. The beds were comfy too and the air cond worked. It was super hot when we were there which made a walk to and from the cbd and beyond to the arts precinct, seem difficult. We caught the free tourist tram but be aware it has no AC unlike the other trams and the driver stopped in a weird spot near the treasury for 8 mins on every circuit leaving everyone sweltering. Perhaps some advice about best methods to traverse Melbourne? The apartment is v convenient to Southern Cross Station and Little Korea.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - What a great place to stay, cool style, comfortable bed, good location in the city. 10/10 can recommend.
- Dana (10/5): Unique and beautiful place to stay in a great location - Lots of little touches made the stay so much more than if we stayed in a hotel. Very elegant and quirky apartment in a fabulous location.
- Liz (10/5): A beautiful homely apartment - Everything. The decor is stunning, the beds and pillows are comfortable and they have thought of everything to make you feel at home and comfortable.
- Yi (8/5): Very good -
- Cameron (8/5): Great location. Clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice linen. - Great location. Clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice linen. Nothing
- Jun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (9/5): A charming inner city escape to another time and era. - The stunning apartment, themed 1920s-30s. The amount of detail that was lovingly put into this place, to portray the early 20th century theme! There was no holding back on detail, yet it is still a very comfortable and clean apartment, with the mod cons of today!
The pillow menu!
The generosity of the host in providing complimentary port, and a lovely unexpected gift.
The charming view of the city. The fact that I only booked for one night! Wish I had booked for longer.
- Breeanna (9/5): Superb -
- Amina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brewberg (8/5): Lovely, friendly spot - The hosts were really easy to contact and communicated clearly and the location was super central and easy to access. Really enjoyed the small personal touches Patricia and Irvine added to the accommodation and it felt just like staying at a friend's house; comfortable and familiar. We noticed with the air con only being in the living room it meant the bedrooms were a bit warm, but thankfully it was a chilly Melbourne night so wasn't too bad.
- Jenita (10/5): Great price for a great location, at a beautiful place. - The location is great, walkable distance to restaurants and activities. It's very beautiful with vintage decor.
- Neil (10/5): Awesome apartment that I will highly recommend to family and friends - What a delightful apartment. Much better than I expected. Arguably the best of its type in which I have ever stayed. Beautifully decorated and so many amazing, tasteful vintage touches. Very clean throughout and so comfortable. Living area was very spacious as were the bedrooms and the bathroom. Service and care by the host, Patricia, was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. There wasn't anything I didn't like!
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the communication from the owners..so good. THANKYOU. Nothing. Will DEFINATELY stay again.
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Excellent, surprising, amazing. Can't wait to revisit Lola! - The whole experience and quality of the apartment was exceptional. The tiny details, and overall step back in time was an experience in itself. Patricia made us feel very welcome and very special. I could go on about the details, from the decor, to sitting on the balcony in the evening, sipping port from beautiful fine glass listening to the old records on the player, to sleeping in sumptuous linen sheets! Nothing! All perfect.
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional - Well appointed, eclectic apartment , free parking makes cost attractive, extremely relaxing, comfortable bed and pillows. Nothing
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (10/5): Excellent service and attention to detail. - The apartment was incredible with many details that you will not find in another place in Melbourne, if not, the world. The local area is quiet at night while still being located close to all transport links. Shopping and restaurants are also just a short walk away.
- Genevieve (10/5): Recommend you treat yourself to a stay at this accommodation, it is simply lovely. This apartment is absolutely delightf - Extremely comfortable, brilliantly styled, spotlessly clean, host extremely helpful. Car park included. Took us a little time get our bearings and work out where to get public transport. However only ended up being only a very short walk away.
- Kerry (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Newman (7/5): It was the perfect place to catchup with my sister. - The location, the aesthetic and the large open space. Cleaning needs to be more thorough. The drinking glasses were smeared, and in one of the single beds, the discovery of remnants of someone's oat breakfast in the bed! Nothing we couldn't cope with as the rest of the apartment was immaculate.
The carpark key didn't work, so we had to wait until someone entered and the next day, managed to find our way out via the actual building. Again, just a case of needing a new battery. The buildings non-existent signage to the carpark proved memorable with our search to it as the lift doesn't take you down there..just up?!
- Dale (9/5): Felt like I went back in time, loved the record player, great bed ,my partner was looking for a bigger wine glass ,but was - Location, walking distance to what we needed Getting hold of the keys ,couldn’t find a nearby car space ,but wasn’t to bad .arrived at a busy time of day.
- Denise (9/5): Very comfortable and convenient. - It’s individuality. Great location with parking. Made me feel very welcomed and at home. Loved the balcony. Beds could’ve been a bit firmer.
