• Craig (7/5): Work short stay - Location, price, very nice room. No information about key pickup or drop off being at convenience store, no drop off facilities for departure before 0830.
• Anonymous (1/5): Mould- Disgusting facilities - The location of the building was good. As soon as we opened the door it smelt like mould. The glass table table top was not attached to the legs and so when i moved it so the fold out bed would fit it nearly fell off. Very unstable. There was no basic kitchen amenities like, a tea bag or coffee with a small milk carton in the fridge. These are basic arrival or morning requirements in any room. Very poor. The main bed was not comfortable and the pillows were so old and thin it was like sleeping on nothing. The fold out bed had a doona and cover in the cupboard which had a white substance on it. Disgusting and they were cold in the living area. We could not adjust the heating cooling. The towels smelt mouldy and definitely NOT clean. We were trying to find out where the mould smell was coming from. The cupboard next to the laundry was the worst and this is where you hang clothes, then opening the laundry there was damp linen that smelt like mould. You can clearly see the washing machine had been leaking and mould is in and under the wardrobe area. I have pictures of all mentioned above. On exit the email said take key back to convenient store and also leave it on the table. i walked it back to find the store closed and no time of open. So i then had to walk back to the hotel to leave it inside. I would be requesting a refund on my stay as it was appalling not to mention the extremely late check in and early check out. Thats a joke. Upon request of early check in i was told the cleaner would be there from 2-4pm. The property had an open for inspection to sell it at 12 that day. The facility would surely have been cleaned for that, but yet i couldn't get in. The apartment does not look or smell like oit has been cleaned for 2 hours. Rubbish. I would like a refund.

The place was disgustingly dirty and the host was unhel - Nothing - it was horrible Black mould in the shower, dirty bed sheets, place smelt like urine. Kitchen was filthy, floors were dirty, tv remote was flat, utilities didn’t work and were broken (dryer etc), property furniture was different to the ones in the photo, no gift hamper as it mentioned, and even worse the property number given was incorrect so we were almost stranded. The host was incredibly unhelpful too. We had to leave after 1 night due to the uncleanliness and the host is refusing a refund for the nights we didn’t stay and does not care

• Helen (7/5): Great location and property, owner can do a lot more to make it cleaner and more comfortable - Location, view, everything worked especially separate washer and dryer, dishwasher, great shower water pressure, spacious living room, big TV with local channels, IGA grocery store steps away, air-conditioning worked okay - we didn’t need to adjust temperature. The bedding didn’t appear to be clean and smelled bad. After I washed pillows, pillow cases, sheet, covet and its insert, the smell went away. Thanks to separate washer and dryer that made the task manageable. Very thin towels, just one each for our ten-day stay.

From the moment I walked in, the smell was unbearable: a mix of sweat, dirty socks, cigarette smoke, and dampness, which made the entire atmosphere unpleasant. It’s clear the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time, and the stench was so strong that it clung to everything. The towels were damp and smelled of mildew, the sheets hadn’t been changed, they were used and stained, which is completely unacceptable. Sleeping under those conditions was extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the shower was covered in black mold, clearly showing a total lack of hygiene. I would definitely not recommend this place. It was a very unpleasant experience that does not justify the cost or even the most basic expectations of cleanliness and comfort.

Temp in the apartment didn’t drop below 26 degrees. Tried to lower the blinds to keep the afternoon heat out but one was missing. Followed cooling Instructions and no luck. The portable cooler provided isn’t an air conditioner but did provide some relief. No soap for a shower in the dispensers provided.

We were told be reception that the apartment number didn't exist. We ended up having to find alternate accommodation in the city. Now chasing a refund for the $300.

In the laundry cupboard were wet and dirty cloths. Only two towels no hand and face cloths. Utensils missing in the kitchen(forks) no body wash, what was there was watered down. So comfort and amenities were of low value for a Prestigious and luxury Property.

Hosts were helpful when contacted and quick to respond to queries. Arrival instructions were confusing with 2 different sets of instructions provided in the initial message for collection of keys. Do not follow the instructions on the YouTube video. Use the instructions in the Guest Welcome Book to collect from the Letsave in Power Street. Apartment was tired and needs some maintenance. Housekeeping from previous guests had not been completed. Kitchen items were still in the dishwasher and T-Towel was in the laundry. Bath towels need replacing.

• Sally (3/5): Not so luxurious just great view and big TV - The great view from apartment was the only real good thing and probably good location or could be dangerous being opposite Crown. A good sized TV The apartment had a funny smell not sure if it was a smokers apartment, then it was quite dodgy and uncomfortable with very watery handwash that didn't do much, no lightbulbs in lamps and some dodgy looking furnishings that certainly didn't look luxurious. Sprays for deodorising were all empty and just was not what expecting for supposed wording on listing. Poor service and out of date information for getting key. No personal service and had to follow up alot to get sorted. Bit of effort not being a personal checkin

• Alan (8/5): Comfortable and convenient. - It was a good place to base myself during a week of work in Melbourne. The apartment is in the heart of the south bank area and it can be a little noisy there.
• Alexander (1/5): Bad - Responsive stuff. This property could be luxurious if someone did a deep cleaning! The check-in instructions are like a quest and very inconvenient, but the staff was responsive. The lockbox didn’t work the first time and is located a 5-minute walk from the main entrance, making the check-in process complicated, especially if you have three bags weighing a total of 35 kg. The accommodation was extremely dirty, and the toilet and sofa smelled like urine (it was really that bad). On top of that, I paid an additional $90 for parking! The video check-in instructions and guidebook are the worst things that could ever happen to you during check-in.

We were late arriving it was a freezing cold and rainy night. Bit of a walk to find the key lock and key. We had been given the wrong code and needed to send a few messages and make a few calls before we finally had a callback as we were leaving and were given the correct code to enter the property nearly an hour and a half after we had arrived. That was the only negative experience of our stay .

The bedding was low quality, no top sheet, just a cheap duvet. We went out and bought our own sheets (never had to do that before).

The advertised onsite car parking was not true and the $30.00 guaranteed, cost me $175.00. The appartment had personal effects left in it and a pantry with food in it. The bed pillows were suspect and used by others regularly. The compendium advised that I could enjoy a complimaentary bottle of wine and chocolate but there was none of either. It's someones room - not a hotel room.

• Jenny (5/5): Not exactly a luxury designer suite. - The building location is good particularly for those wanting to access Southbank restaurants, the city and Flinders St Station. The apartment location within the building is next to the lifts which kept us awake and woke us up. Apart from that the apartment should be better equipped. More breakfast bowls are needed, champagne glasses would be good, a plug for the sink in the bathroom, face washers, hand towels, the wardrobe needs hangers for clothes to be hung - one was available and one bedside table needs a lightbulb. The apartment needs repairs and paint touch ups. One roller blind fell off when trying to wind the blind down.

Wish there was 0 stars, Where do I start , bed is horrible EXTREMELY! uncomfortable woke up with very painful back , pillows are extremely uncomfortable we put our head on them went flat, no stability or support on your neck , way over used very old ,me and my partner woke up with very sore and stiff neck,bed covers are an absolute disgrace, airflow in the room is NONE we felt very suffocated, try to work the aircon for bit of airflow that wasn’t working couch is very uncomfortable. Towels seemed thin like paper . Horrible stay . WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN we spent extra $160 on massages to get some relief on our neck shoulders back . The cleaner let us drop our bags when we got there as our flight was early into Melbourne. She was very helpful and the place was nice and clean. However, we could not sit on the couch it as it was broken when we got there and was not repaired until the night B4 we left. Needs replacing, very worn and had multiple bad repairs by the look of it. The contact we had was doing his best to get the couch problem resolved, but it needs to go. Found the place a bit dated. The TV remote did not go (needed recharging, there was no leads) and no matter what I did the Air conditioning it sat at a hot 24. Very uncomfortable to sleep.

Was a plain apartment in Southbank, very tired furniture and worst bed I’ve slept on in years. No windows for fresh air and the apartment over heats quite quickly until you can figure out the cryptic code of the air conditioner. Also is a private apartment not in a hotel so you have to jump through some hoops to get into the building.

• Kazbuc (7/5): A good apartment, in a great building, for a couple. Well priced too! - The location and facilities/public transport in the surrounding area are excellent. Many coffee shops and fast food outlets in the building (including McDonalds), an IGA across the road and the Meat and Wine Co restaurant facing the river was a great dining venue. Ubers always arrived within minutes of ordering. It's a great and very walkable spot to visit many of Melbourne's attractions, on both sides of the river. The apartment is well set up for a couple plus another close family member (the bathroom is only accessible via the bedroom). The You Tube video instructions to the lock box were confusing and we arranged our (more savvy) daughter to collect the keys for us before we arrived. The bath towels, tea towel and kitchen sponge need replacing. (A new sponge for each booking a good idea). The very heavy coffee table needs 2 people to lift the top (and a 3rd to reposition the legs) when using the fold out sofa bed.

• Jan (6/5): Luxe location, let down by some very disappointing features, which can be corrected. Pity, because the staff support for - Location and view - fantastic! Heating and cooling management is a nightmare! When a system requires inputs to be repeated - 4 times no less! - it needs to be simplified! And with no opening windows, and a gas odour on arrival - weak though it was, with one gas jet NOT in the off position, we weren’t staying in to cook. Left the front door open for about 30 minutes while we figured out the temperature settings! The bath towels also didn’t stack up to the “luxe” vibe, and need to be replaced - and laundered with a softer fluffier result. Now to the bedding - quite comfortable, but the sharp projecting corners of the bedframe - at least 5 cms beyond the mattress on all corners, were a shin-killer! And we needed to find a way to tuck in the corners of the doona - there is no other way to keep it in place while sleeping, so a disturbed night was unwelcome.

• Niki (10/5): I want to come back! - I loved everything about this apartment. The location is central and ideal for visiting the city. There are restaurants and places where you can grab food (there is a mini supermarket just across the building). Public transport is at your door. You can go for walks along the promenade or explore the city, from North to South. The apartment is elegant, clean, bright and quiet and it has all the comfort (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwaves, stove, oven, huge tv with streaming services…). There is a stunning city view, which is enough to make your day! The bed is very comfortable and the pillows as well. I was there in winter, and it was warm and comfy. Check in is easy and fast: you collect the keys from a box with a code, and you drop the keys in the mailbox inside the building, when leaving. Property manager was amazing and nice. I had a great time there! Absolutely loved it! Nothing.

• Nina (9/5): Amazing apartment with great views. Will return - The location was on point. It was very easy to get to by car. Super easy to walk to crown and the restaurants along the riverside quay. The apartment was very big for 2 people and had great views. We had to pick up the keys at the convenience store which was very easy if driving in, but would be a pain if people had taken public transport in. Could not figure out how to use the aircon even with instructions. One of the main features listed was the ‘soundproof’ apartment, but I’m not sure how soundproof it is as I could hear ourselves near the lifts around the corner. There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom but didn’t really bother us that much. Given it was listed as ‘luxurious’ we assumed there would be toothpaste provided. But we overlooked this. I also didn’t like how there was no access to pools/gym but we managed to book the place at a really good price. There is parking available but you need to book parking in order to have your car overnight. Otherwise you need to move your car before 2am every time. Crown parking was also an option but you need to move your car every 24 hours as well.
