- Christopher (1/5): - Can't believe anyone is stupid enough to ask these questions. Booking was cancelled by host at last minute. Booked and paid for in September for big pre-Christmas family gathering and a birthday party, cancelled by host on day before stay - just as we were setting off. Too late. No reply to phone or messaging. We had to make quick alternative arrangements, meant only one night in Walthamstow, and, cancellation of a birthday event.
Booking.com very difficult to get hold of. Still not received a refund. Has put me off ever booking anything through Booking.com again.
- Carol (10/5): A very comfortable stay in a very attractive location - perfect for our needs - It was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped with free parking. Attractive location in Walthamstow Village Nothing
- sally (9/5): -
- Shahron (10/5): Excellent apartment in fab location -
- James (9/5): - What a nice place! If you are staying in Walthamstow, this is the perfect place to to be WiFi was a bit iffy
- Alannah (7/5): Comfortable and relaxing - Nice spacious property really close to the local train / tube station. Short walk into the town and a high street just at the top of the road!! Also in a quiet area. Parking available on the drive of the property which was a great help!! Only downfall to the apartment was the bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner on arrival
- lorna (9/5): Clean, comfortable, modern apartment. - Modern and comfortable apartment, includes all the facilities you need. Spacious and very clean. Very quiet, even though it's very close to central location. Great location - a few minutes walk to tube and overground station with useful transport links, lots of restaurants, shops, cafes close by.
- Ann (9/5): Excellent and spacious apartment in superb location. - Well equipped and spacious apartment in perfect location in Walthamstow Village. Access instructions were clear and the parking was a real bonus. Communications with the host were helpful and courteous. We would happily stay here again. As others have mentioned, there can be noise from other apartments, but this is true of most flat conversions from original semi-detached status.
- Mark (10/5): - Highly recommended this apartment, had everything you need, plus a garden which I found a massive bonus.
Host was very friendly and responsive Everything was good!
- Carole (7/5): Very convenient stay - Location The bed was uncomfortable and we could not adjust the shower to lower than scalding
- shane (9/5): It was very enjoyable - It was central to everything we needed for our stay . It was very clean and cosy .
- Jan (8/5): Nice area, lovely unit, very warm and comfortable. - No Breakfast but nice kitchen and lounge. The shower was a mission to work but host was very helpful and sorted it out eventually.
- Christine (8/5): -
- Barry (8/5): Spacious and comfortable and near to where I needed to be. - Handbook for the washing machine.
- Antonio (7/5): -
- Diana-teodora (9/5): Nice location and lots of space - Will definitely return here, it's a nice spacious place nearby a lively street with shops and restaurants - but just far enough from it that it's still quiet. And there's a nice terrace! You might be able to hear the neighbours upstairs or the ones living next door at times, they woke us up but they were not a great nuisance.
- John (10/5): - The Property, The Host and the Price Location but this is only personal preference
- Sidibeh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (7/5): Great location but the apartment tried. - Location was excellent The apartment was tried and signs of wear.
- Sarah (8/5): Overall, I would recommend Walthamstow as a great, peaceful stay outside of the heart of London! - The check-in instructions were quite clear, and the interior of the property was exactly as pictured. We appreciated the amenities, and the location was a quick walk to Walthamstow Central tube station; the neighborhood was peaceful and pretty, very walkable, and gave quick and easy access to coffee shops and food options. We slept comfortably, and the owners were quick to communicate when we had questions. The back yard looked like it was part of the rental, but it was actually shared with a second rental property in the shared backyard. The patio doors led directly into the bedroom, and didn’t quite latch properly, which made us feel a little unsettled as two female travelers, since the backyard property was occupied and steps away from our door. We were eventually able to secure the door.
- Laura (10/5): Lovely! - The are is lovely. Everything was great!
- Shahron (8/5): Very good -
- Dorothy (10/5): Perfect bolt hole. - Such a perfect place. Superb location.. immaculate. Helpful owner to hand when needed. There is nothing I can think of.
- Sally (8/5): We had a great stay and would certainly stay again - Excellent location , only short walk to bus, train and underground. Very comfortable. A few more cups, plates and glasses would be good, especially cups. We had to wash the 2 cups every time before being able to have another drink.
- Maida07 (9/5): Perfect place to visit London in very relaxed mode - I HAVE LOVED Everything. the bathroom was beyond my expectations, clean and very comfortable Nothing. All was perfect
- Graeme (9/5): Excellent for ourrequirements - Location All good
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - Really happy with this place. Clean and has good amenities. Has onsite parking (very hard to find in this area) and a pleasant sitting area in the back garden. Curb for the driveway on one side quite steep, but manageable.
- Clarence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigel (10/5): Would use again & would recommend to friends & relatives. - We had breakfast in the village at a cafe. Meal out on the Saturday night. Lots of choice for food.it It was perfect for us. We were at a family christening. Close to the church & our relatives. Easy access to London.
- Jane (5/5): Good in parts - Great location close to Walthamstow Village. The property was very clean and tidy. Comfortable sofa and bed. Very spacious. Lots of storage and hanging space. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner supplied. Hosts provided a slip mat for the bath when we asked. Access was straightforward. Prompt and helpful communication from hosts. Car parking space was challenging due to not all of the drive being dropped, so our car grounded. Not much equipment: one saucepan (but two saucepan lids!), no replacement bin bags, no clean dishcloth (only two used sponges and a grubby brush), small number of plates, glasses and mugs so we had to wash up after every meal. Disturbed by noise from upstairs flat. No curtains. Venetian blinds in bedroom inadequate for keeping out light (less of an issue as we stayed in mid October but I would not stay in summer when it's light from around 4am).
- Laura (9/5): Would definitely stay here again, ideal base for travelling around London as it is close to the underground, overground - Everything you could possibly want was provided, from good quality ground coffee, to a choice of bio or non bio for the washing machine. No need to take shower gel or shampoo/conditioner as they are provided. It’s a heater, a fan, iron and ironing board, clothes airer and even some scales if you’re worried about how much you’ve eaten at the lovely shops down the road! I found the mattress to be a little bit too firm for my liking, but that’s down to personal preference.
- Leroy (10/5): Loved it !! - Beautiful apartment. Modern but with character. Lovely outside patio area! We loved it and certainly plan to return ! Many thanks to hosts. Hopefully see you again soon . Thanks Nothing I didn't like
- Philippa (10/5): excellent - Great location, spacious apartment- nice to have a garden!
- Keshah (10/5): Fabulous accommodation in an amazing location - This accommodation was exceptional! We knew it was exactly what we were looking for before we came to London. So close to the train and bus stations and so many bus stops, restaurants, cafes, stores and pubs close by. The accommodation itself was very comfortable with all appliances working very well, making our stay even better than we hoped for. The washing machine was an absolute plus, we were able to do our laundry after 2 weeks vacation in England and go home with mainly clean laundry. The owner was very quick to respond and provided all the information we needed for check-in, check-out and WiFi. Nothing to complain about
- Valerija (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely apartment. My parents were very satisfied and happy to stay there, even didn't want to leave. Everything was there - for bathroom, kitchen appliances and shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. Very happy and comfortable ☺️
- Faith (10/5): Delightful and comfortable - The room was clean spacious and filled with everything you needed! Check in was easy and such great value for money. Nothing
- Bemelmans (8/5): Very good - Very friendly host, had 0 problems entering the property. Only 11km from Central London (we did everything on foot or by bicycle) which was the main reason for chosing this apartment. Everything you need is present and it's a very welcoming neighbourhood. A small parking place, partly because it was already semi-occupied by another car when we arrived but we managed anyway.
- Fuzz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (7/5): A little gem well worth a visit. - The location was great , lovely sized property and facilities and off street parking. The shower was in need of a deep clean
- Jade (5/5): Great location, free parking but not clean. - The location was great, it was easy to get to, there is parking and the garden was lovely. Unfortunately our apartment didn’t seem to have been cleaned before we arrived. It was very dusty and the shower didn’t look clean at all. We found the bed to be very uncomfortable and as we were on the bottom floor we could hear the footsteps from those staying upstairs. The price was reasonable but considering the lack of cleanliness I wouldn’t stay again.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional - A very clean and comfortable apartment. It is very conveniently located for access to Walthamstow Village and public transport. A good range of restaurants and coffee shops close at hand. Parking at front of the property very useful. No issues with the property.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean apartment with parking right outside the door.
- Laura (10/5): Really clean, easy and comfy. Thank you! - Brilliant location for Walthamstow Village and Walthamstow Central. Very spacious place and really easy to access. Thanks Kash for putting our bubbly in the fridge before our arrival!
- David (8/5): Very good - Superb apartment in prime location in Walthamstow village Unable to gain access until 17.30 after arriving at 15.15.
No response from owner until after we contacted Booking. Com customer service!
- Shelagh (10/5): Fabulous, 5 star accommodation. - Very clean and fresh. Good facilities to cook, eat & relax. Perfect location for us to see family. Easy to walk to train/bus station and all shops. 1 more dish towel would have been great.
- Dee-ann (7/5): Good -
- Kathryn (9/5): A lovely break - we’ll be back! - Lovely spacious airy property with good facilities.
Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Great space, perfect for a short break. Nicely furnished. Lovely garden. Well equipped. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided which was a nice bonus. Host responded quickly when I asked for the Wi-Fi password. Location was perfect. Nice area, good transport links. The mattress needs replacing. I think it may have been old as it was very springy and dipped in the middle. My partner didn’t get much sleep as a result.
Towels were provided but there was no bath mat.
Overall the apartment was very clean but I think the bathroom could have had a little more attention.
Perhaps his could leave some printed information such as Wi-Fi password for guests so they don’t need to message.
For me these were all minor issues and I would 100% stay again.
- Olivia (8/5): Great, but could be better with a few tweaks! Very stylish and good location. - The property was rather spacious and modern. With a large outdoor garden space which was lovely in the warmer weather. It has a kitchen that is equipped with almost everything you will need and the TV has Netflix already logged in which was great! We loved the addition of the mirror with lights in the bedroom as it came in handy when we were getting ready in the evening. The bathroom was clean and modern with a really deep bathtub and dual power shower. The location was also good as it is close to lots of local shops, restaurants, supermarkets and the world famous market! The only few things that I would say were not worth the price was the bed (which was broken). Both of us woke up the first morning with severe neck and back pain, and to our surprise after pulling the mattress off, we noticed the legs underneath the bed were collapsed and had resulted in the mattress dipping in the middle. My friend provided a ‘temporary fix’ to the bed and we flipped the mattress meaning the second night was slightly better. The pillows are also very thick and hard with no other option available. The first morning we also noticed there were no tea / milk / sugar available resulting in us having to walk to the local shop so we could have our usual morning beverage. This was disappointing as every other property I have stayed in of a similar price has provided these basic essentials.
- John (10/5): Perfect all round, ideal for a couple on a city break - Great size for individual or couple.
All newly done up and clean.
Ground floor, easy access.
Outdoor seating area.
Parking right at the door
2 minutes' walk from local amenities. all perfect
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Nopparath (10/5): If you find the apartment with fully facilities, privacy and nicely host choose THIS! - Fully facilities with high quality. This is second time that I stay here. Bathroom always warm,it comfortable after take a bath in winter ;) Kind host ,he is friendly person ,good communicate. All room are beautiful , clean and cosy -
- Nopparath (10/5): I love this and If I back to london again I sure to stay in this apartment ( if available on my day haha) - facilities quite far from tube but it’s ok just 5 mins
- Alec (7/5): Good but could be so much better for the price, with a little extra thought for the guests. - The location was perfect for us as it was near our daughter's place, near the village and transport and has free parking. It is a modern refurbished apartment well set up. Very easily heated and with comfortable bed. Good bathroom and quite well appointed kitchen. Sadly there is very little to make your stay special. The very agreeable host was on hand for check-in but once settled in the lack of any special touch was apparent. There was no effort to give the guests a feeling of welcome, no note about facilities, nothing to have a cup of coffee other than a jar of instant left by previous guests, and a couple of bottles of water, no sugar, milk, tea, which are standard amenities in this type of accommodation, and a general feeling of cold, basic, almost mechanical hospitality made us feel a bit uncomfortable.
I had to call to know the Wi-Fi code! It takes a few minutes to write a little instructions/welcome note to make your guests feel .... yes, welcome!
So, at £160 per night we would have hoped for that little bit extra to make it worth the cost.
