Communal door noisy, noisy shared entrance area to lower flat. Noise from adjacent neighbours external into early hours of morning sounded like on a balcony. Not the apartments fault, out of the owners control.

• Tom (2/5): We felt that the apartment was not in a rentable condition and so left immediately so did not stay. - Location was exactly where we wanted and easy to get to from Farringdon Station. Instructions to access very clear and directions to apartment very good. Supported by photographs. The builder's debris from the neighbouring apartment that was left in the immediate entrance reception area. This should have been cleared away before our arrival by the host. The lack of proper cleaning to the toilet. Damage to cupboard door above the microwave. Chips to some cupboard doors. We complained to Booking.com and requested a refund from the host as we decided not to stay because of the state of the apartment. We were on a tight schedule and so could not wait and so moved to a hotel in Victoria. We have not heard back from Booking.com. Host offered to do some more cleaning but we were so disappointed by the state of the apartment which we considered not be in a rentable condition and not up to Booking.com standards.

The 'living area' was basically just another bedroom, consisting of a sofa bed with a huge mattress on it that couldn't be moved . The photo of the outside of the premises is deceiving having been only able to look into other apartments from any given window

• Costin G (10/5): - The apartment is well situated, walking distance to plenty of locations, pubs, points of interest and transport. The apartment itself is very nice, well equipped, instructions explain everything. Extra heating was very useful, the hot shower was also very nice.

• Duvessa (7/5): Central, quiet and safe - Excellent location and surprisingly quiet. We liked the extra security of the gate. Beds were very comfortable, too. The French restaurant next door is wonderful, and not too expensive. Bed 2 was extra comfy because it had a proper mattress added on top, but this also meant we had no sofa. Not a problem for us, but worth knowing.

Did not like not having a local host to call on who could have helped us, eg with the TV. We would have liked somewhere where we could have relaxed together. Not just table and chairs. Storage spaces were pretty full of e.g. cleaning equipment, toilet rolls etc. No plugs for kitchen or bathroom sinks. Couldn't find baking trays or oven gloves.

• Eve (5/5): Great location, clean but cramped apartment. - Property in great location and very clean with plenty of heaters and towels provided. The minus was we had only one toilet the other toilet had a pump action to flush which broke the first time it was used. The apartment was very cramped it has one room with a double bed and a pull out bed (or couch) in the sitting room. I did think it was quite expensive for what we got we stayed in similar location in a previous stay and we had a lot more room. I did think the description of the apartment was quite misleading it is a one bedroom apartment not two. Spare toilet didn’t work, pull out bed very hard, a jar of coffee could have been provided in the kitchen with the tea bags!

• Melody (8/5): It's a good location - I like that it is within the city, and you can just walk around. There's a lot of establishments within the area. It was a pleasant stay. I gave only 8 because of the bed and bathtub. The bed is not comfortable to sleep in. I just wish that they have a better mattress and bed should be higher. It's very hard to get up specially for older people. The bathtub is very slippery and not safe for elderly. Please install hand grab in the shower for safety. I recommend a simple walk-in shower and not tub. Tourist don't have time to soak in a tub.

• Mark (8/5): Easy tube access in central location. Great for work. - Close to the tube and fairly easy to find, so convenient for working in London. Kitchen had everything you need and all working well. Clean and looked after. The shower room was off the main bedroom loo/bathroom, so the second occupant had to use this one, but with two toilets it was easily manageable.
• Oughton (6/5): Bring your own towels and don't stay too long your back will hurt. - The apartment was nicely presented and local to our plans. The cost wasn't unreasonable from the outset. Enough toilet roll in the apartment to last a few years. The most uncomfortable beds known to man. Unable to have a shower due to the towels being a combination of sand paper and concrete. 1 of the neighbours spent most of the night drilling so sleep wasn't great. Only 1 of the bedside lamps worked.

• Andy (10/5): A great stay in a wonderful apartment, great location. - The location was great, not far from Chancery Lane tube station. Secure entrance like a gated community. The apartment has a kitchen, 2 bedrooms (one of which has a bed/lounge/table), clockroom and en-suite bathroom. It is large well decorated, with lovely wooden floors. A last minute booking so the price was excellent. Nothing to do with this booking, but I was let down by another booking on Booking.com. However, all worked out well as this property was far superior. Interesting that booking.com don't seem to want me to review the other place I booked....

• Magda (7/5): I will stay again but in summer, perfect location but definitely needs improvements - The location was excellent and the check in and check out very easy. The owner was also very kind and quickly responded to all queries. All facilities around. Needs a little bit more painting. Mattress in bedroom not comfortable. It was cold and the heating is broken. You need to use a small mobile heating system. The hot water stopped when I was taking a bath. Problem with flushing the toilet. The door lock seems too easy to get in. It is basically great value for money for a few days, but it is definitely not a 5 stars but rather a 4 stars with improvements needed.

• Nikita (7/5): Good, basic apartment with pros and cons. - The apartment is in a great location (multiple tube stations within a 15min walk). It’s spacious, secure & has the basics of what you need. The shower was lovely and powerful which is always an added bonus and the apparent hosts plenty of storage for clothes & belongings. The apartment itself is a lovely size and the area it’s in is also nice & feels safe. The triple lock system on the entry to the apartment is great for a little extra peace of mind. I took the sofa bed which was extremely comfortable. A lovely hard/firm mattress which I love! The double bed was also nice and comfortable, with a soft, spring mattress so if that’s your kind of bed, then you’re set. It was nice to have the option of two kinds of mattresses. The duvets were nice (but we did get very hot). Two fans were provided as well (after a little bit of searching). The windows open nice and wide so you can get a good bit of air circulation. We had a discounted price due to it being a last minute booking, but I still feel the price was a little steep due to the following: The internet didn’t work the entire time. I did made the host aware of this but nothing was rectified so my friends who travelled with us, that didn’t have a U.K. SIM card, were without internet during our stay. Not the end of the world but due to the internet not working, the Tv was useless as it’s a smart TV with no free view. There was a Virgin box but no power cable, which I again made the host aware but nothing was rectified again, instead he asked if I had a cable to plug it in, which I didn’t. It wasn’t the end of the world but it would’ve been nice to have the telly when we were getting ready or lounging at night. The fold out bed was awful. It had springs missing and the centre had sunk onto the floor. It wasn’t fit for purpose. The bed wasn’t usable so 2 of the guys I was with had to share a bed. Again, not the end of the world. The apartment is very noisy! We could hear absolutely everything going on in the courtyard. It was so loud that it woke us up several times. It sounded as if the people outside were in our room. We were asked to leave our shoes at the door which isn’t a problem at all, but the floor hadn’t been cleaned so we did all end up with mucky feet. The apartment is basic but it does the job! It could use a good bit of TLC (the floor in the kitchen is coming away from the cabinets). The hot tap in the kitchen needs fixing. I do like to leave a review that’s as honest as possible. The apartment has pros and cons, however, I’m not sure it reflects the price.
• Stevie (8/5): Family break - Directions from the owner were very good. The location was good. The flat had everything you need. It was maybe in need of a few modern touch ups. Coffee and milk sachets would be a good idea. It did have all the utensils. But when you first get somewhere a cuppa is the first thing you look for. Also hot water tap in bathroom needs a sign as it comes out boiling.
• Nafisa (6/5): Great location for metro. - The location was very close to the metro and lot's of restaurants. The building was a little confusing to get inside but it all worked out. I'm so happy it was a first level apartment and we didn't have to lug all of our luggage up the steep stairs that other apartments in the building had. It was spacious and clean but the walls were very thin and we could hear every argument and conversation from others outside. Thin walls, loud neighbors.
