Irina (7/5): Cheap and Cheerful, Good for Budget Travelers. Just Avoid During Peak Heat. - 1. Great Location: The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and large shopping malls. However, it is a bit far from Cairo's main attractions. 2. Well-Equipped Facilities: The room had hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, a microwave, a stove, and a refrigerator. Everything was up to standard. 3. Responsive Host: The host was always available, responded quickly, and provided helpful advice. It was cheap, so I didn't expected too much. It worth it's money. By several issues I have to remark. 1. Air Conditioning Issue: The most critical issue was that there was only one air conditioner for two bedrooms, the living room, and the kitchen. The air conditioner was only in one of the bedrooms. We were in Cairo when the outside temperature was +40°C (104°F), making it around 35°C (95°F) inside the apartment. It was impossible to stay there during the day due to the heat. 2. Old, Worn-Out Furniture: The furniture was old and in poor condition, desperately needing replacement. The bed was saggy with a lumpy mattress, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. 3. Bathroom Problems: There was no shower curtain or enclosure in the bathroom. After taking a shower, water would spread all over the floor, and there was nothing to clean it up with, as there were no rags or mops available.
