- Abigail (8/5): Wonderful, central apartment in Belsize Park - The best thing about this apartment is the location - it is really unbeatable. Opposite the tube, but in a quiet side street with lots to do in the nearby streets. The apartment was also clean and well-equipped (the kitchen was superbly equipped with everything one would need for the stay and the bathroom had a lot of toiletries). It made for a lovely stay Some of the instructions received were not very clear (but were later clarified by the host). Otherwise everything was perfect

Lisa told me that in order to get information about the property (which I assume gave instructions for using alarm system/lock box, etc), I would need to give her my email address. Why should I have to give her my personal email because she hasn't bothered to make the information accessible via booking.com or left a printout of the pdf in the property?
The flat was not clean, and there were signs of mice and loose and very old food in the cupboards. (I have uploaded photos of loose food and mouse droppings, but those seem not to have posted with my review, so I have tried to add them again. In particular, there were mouse droppings at the bottom of a box of dishwasher pods, with one dishwasher pod looking like it was chewed. There were also mouse droppings in the cabinet over the stove.) Silverware and dishes were grungy. I could see and feel food particles on plates. One mug had coffee still in the bottom. I washed them before using. The only washcloth provided in the kitchen was soaking wet/used when I arrived.
There were no instructions on whether I should take out rubbish, wash dishes, etc at checkout. She told me to reset the lockbox code but didn't tell me how. (And really, that should be the responsibility of the owner.)
This felt like someone's old family flat that needed more work and care before being turned into a holiday let. I wouldn't stay again.

Large unit for 1 person, so it can fit 3-4 persons if you are willing to share beds
If you drive, there is some parking but not always easy to find esp on weekdays (normal for London). Alternatively, you can pre-book a space at the nearby Premier Inn on Haverstock Hill. I like a modern decor, but this is a personal preference. It was clean which is more important.
There is no formal dining table or chairs, but there is an island space in the kitchen that can fit 4 (will be a squeeze), so if you looking for a proper table to work on, you won't find it here.
