• Noor (2/5): Okayish - The approach to the room was quite congested, which might have been manageable if not for the lack of cleanliness. The passage was very smelly and dirty, with cat and dog poop scattered around which made it unpleasant to walk thru that passage. I would recommend spending a bit more to find a better option if you’re planning a longer stay. For a short stay of 1–2 days, it may be tolerable if you don’t mind the surrounding conditions. The room itself had a significant mosquito problem, and even insect spray didn’t seem to help much. On a positive note, the facilities were decent. The bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Bed was pretty comfortable. Amenities like an iron and hair dryer were also provided. However, the major drawback remains the odor and overall cleanliness of the approach and surroundings.

• Felicity (3/5): Affordable but you get what you paid for - The location Toilets constantly had a sweage smell. Bugs and spiders were observed. Room floor was dirty. Beds were basic and just had a sheet on top. Was very hard to find as it was down an alleyway. Very noisy as there is no insulation and you can hear the neighbours constantly.

We were there for 2 nights with 2 young children which was difficult without any hot water. Very noisy in the lobby 3am people were running around and speaking very loudly

• Paryani (5/5): Value for Money but with little trouble. - Location near the lake, spacious room with mini kitchen and Overall Value for Money. This place is located in the heart of old quarters. but access to this premises from the main street is challenging a narrow path of around 50-75 Meter walk to reach the premises, where walking with luggage is difficult and on this path bad smell s coming, reaching to properly through narrow path is not clearly mentioned in the details of the property. Washroom had clogged drain issues,, every time if someone used the shower, the other person had to wait for about 20-30 mins so that stagnant water drained out properly. We stayed three nights and no one comes a single time to collect garbage, provide fresh towels and clean the bathroom. When we contacted the property regarding clogged drain issue, no satisfactory response was provided. Moreover, 2nd photo of property showing tree near the property is deceptive, no such thing was there at all. Value for Money but with little problem. I am giving mixed reviews because of 3 issues. 1) narrow path to reach the property from main street 2) clogged drain in the bathroom 3) No one came for cleaning during our stay..

• Théo (1/5): Not reliable & Serious - First night with my parents was okay. First night with my parents was fine then i came back with my two friends and been received by an old lady telling us it was fully booked as it wasn't on Booking. Avoid to go there, they are not serious at all.
• Christine (6/5): Great location and interesting to see life in a tube house - Location is great. If you want to experience living in a typical old tube house this is the place for you. We booked the room with kitchen which is on the ground floor. The facilities were clean and well equipped but the room is right next to an alley where motorbikes are parked and the lights are on 24 hours. It was extremely noisy and too light to sleep. Book a room upstairs if you stay here. Proximity to a busy alley. Literally half a meter from the bed with a window in between.

We loved the smell of detergents used. We had electricity issues. You better don’t touch metal elements during rain. But the lady was very helpful and reacted immediately. She moved us to other room.

We arrived stupidly late due to flight issues and they still checked us in. Not for those looking for luxury but had everything you need and heaps of rustic charm.

I had to make nearly 10 phone calls when I arrived but the landlord did not answer. but since we only stayed for 2 days it wasn't too bad.

• My (9/5): Great location and amazing host! - The host was so lovely, we arrived early and she offered to hold onto our luggage and even do our laundry for free. Everything was ready by the time we arrived for check in. The room was very spacious with great aircon and wifi. Excellent location - in the centre of Old quarter, everything was easily accessible and despite this, the room was quiet. The room is tucked away in an alleyway so can be difficult to find, the host will help you find it. Overall, I loved our time here and would come back. The bathroom was a little run down (bit mouldy and due to the humidity there were a few random worms) but still did the job! The room was close to the alleyway so sometimes at night you can hear the neighbours talk or walk up and down. But this wasn't a huge issue for us.

We didn't get the same room that we ordered the first day, but we got it for cheaper. The location was not the same as on booking.com. The water pressure was weird and randomly the water got burning hot.

It’s down an alley next to 22 and the guy at the coffee shop just pointed us there. It’s an apartment literally in the middle of the old Quarter right in the heart of it. The lady who showed us around was ace, if you /are ok with staying in an alley not a fancy hotel you will love this place. The shower flooded a little.

• Alexander (10/5): Best place I stayed at in Hanoi Old Quarter - I stayed in a few places in Hanoi old quarter during my trip to Vietnam and this one was by far the best. The apartment is huge, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was big and modern. Location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the centre, but in a small lovely alley tucked away from the main street. It was really quiet at night and easy to get some rest. But above all, the best thing was the friendliness and kindness of the staff that welcomed me. Unfortunately I forgot her name, but she was so helpful and nice and gave me many tips. Thank you so much, Alex.
• Gene (9/5): Rough start, but was very pleased once settled in. - Amazing location, huge room, super comfy and quiet. Check in process was difficult and confusing In part because the care taker spoke no english. But that was not really the issue... the issue was that the owner/host had not informed the caretaker of my arrival,,, so she was not looking for me nor had any idea who I was. The whole process of finding the right place and getting things cleared up with the caretaker took an hour . Initial directions to reach the place where terrible (and believe me, you will not find this location easily). Fully the owners fault on both items.

• Gene (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about it was just great. However, if you are not used to Vietnam back allies this location will not be for you. Everything about it was fantastic,,, , EXCEPT the check in. As It took a half hour of walking around in allies to find someone to give me a key.... Not the fault of the lady ...... it was the fault of the owner who apparently did not inform the caretaker that I was arriving.

• Jino (10/5): A good hideout amongst the hustle bustle of Hanoi. - The fact that this is at a very central location and yet so quiet and peaceful! We booked this place for our last day in Hanoi, Bit of a task to find the entrance and a dingy alleyway till you get to the actual property. Can’t complain much once you’re in the property.
