• Lou-Anne (10/5): We travel a lot, Stony Rise Lodge was exceptional...the bar just got raised. - From the moment we arrived we were blown away, the warmth of the welcome was genuine and heartfelt. We spent 3 nights over Easter with our beloved bulldog who received a welcome basket packed full of thoughtful gifts and goodies to make her stay special. We loved the room and spent a couple of afternoons just lounging, reading and relaxing in it. There were sundowners in the evenings with stunning complementary platters and fires lit in the communal lounge area on the cooler evenings. With only 5 rooms we were able to chat to fellow travellers over an evening drink or at breakfast in the morning. Where do we start with the breakfast? Top quality ingredients, many grown in local gardens and prepared with care. Freshly baked bread and even homemade hot cross buns (we arrived as Ashlee was kneading the dough). But most of all we couldn't fault the team of Roscoe, Ashlee, Tiana and Dave - truly exceptional hosts, thank you for making our Easter break so special and for all the Charlie love and attention. We wished we could have stayed longer...

Der Welcome Drink am Abend und das nette Zusammensitzen mit anderen Reisenden war sehr schön. Die Besitzerin hat unsere bestellten Pizzen sogar aus dem Ort für uns abgeholt. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Vieles ist selbstgemacht und sehr lecker. Nachts konnten wir einen Wombat im Garten beobachten.

Road to accommodation is an unsurfaced road but if you take it easy it's fine. Well worth the effort though to stay in such a beautiful location!

What makes this place special is the personalised service tailored you and what you want to get out of the stay, the small details, and the atmosphere (like hanging with old friends!). The lodge-style accommodation is a real treat and a great way to connect, meet new people and experience beautiful local food and wine is an intimate setting. For those who want a little privacy, there are plenty of spaces (and opportunities) to hang out, recharge and have some time to yourself. L’endroit est fabuleux car il faut prendre une route sableuse pour y monter et on se retrouve en surplomb de la forêt au calme absolu. Le petit déjeuner nous a été servi à une table commune avec les autres voyageurs, ce qui a permis un bel échange dans la bonne Humeur. Le personnel a été aux petits soins. Rien!

Our king sized room was divine, very comfortable, stylish, private and spacious. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The lodge design is gorgeous and full of personal touches - every item has a story. Breakfast is delicious and generous. • mara connolly (10/5): The most unexpected delightful meeting of architecture, ambiance & amazing staff in this jewel of a lodge in Robe - The property itself is superbly designed to be both aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically and environmentally advanced, functionally appropriate in its amazing setting, and individually private and indulgent for every room. No thought has been spared towards individual comfort, temperature, or environment. The lodge itself is so thoughtfully designed, decorated, and appointed. The evening firepit with yummy fresh crudités and fabulous wines set off the evening. Assistance with selecting local dining establishments was most welcome. Excellent wine selections were graciously provided. A burning fire after dinner in the inside hearth was a warm welcome home. Within the rooms, everything was set up for our comfort. The bedding and towels are first-rate. Interesting books abound on every shelf, the color scheme is inspired. Fine art-some by the owners' family members, abounds. Breakfast was phenomenal, with excellent barista-style coffees and teas, fine jams, fresh juice, jellies and local fruits, freshly prepared egg dishes, assorted cereals and breads, all served at a friendly community table accommodating guests from the five rooms. But best of all is a small and mighty staff of colleagues who work together to make this striking place sing for each guest. No request is an inconvenience. They intuit one's needs. We're applauding you, Ashlee, Tiana & Donna! You three made our stay one of the best that these jaded world travelers-and our two sets of friends-have ever had! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We surely hope to return very soon! Warmest, dearest thanks to you all! Two nights was too short a stay!
• Thi Ngan Ha (10/5): - The accommodation was more than our expectation. We did book in last min at the same day we came in. Aside some small issue when we were coming, everything was excellent. I did enjoy 2 fresh morning with excercise and listen to natural sound. We had lot of fun with Roscoe's driving 4wd around the conservation park and met the cute hairy cows in farm which we have never had these experiences before. We also enjoyed breakfast prepared by Dunno. Beds were super comfy and we enjoyed fired inside the house. Everything is perfect for the trip getaway from city and stress. Nothing

• Andrew (10/5): A very special place in a beautiful town. - Stony Rise Lodge was our home for 4 nights recently whilst we explored all the area had to offer. Luxury at every turn of the head, from the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the team at Stony Rise. Attention to detail and beautifully curated rooms rich in family history made us feel instantly a part of the family. Roscoe, Rebekah, Ash, Dave and Tiana all took great care of us, every minute of the day. From amazing breakfasts to 5 o’clock wine and nibbles by the roaring fire the hospitality was first class. Our huge Executive suite had it all, heated polished concrete floors, open fireplace, stunning king bed and bedding (so good we had to buy some for ourselves), massive flat screen tv and comfy sofa and a small functional kitchenette and the biggest bathroom. Plenty of great places to eat in town (5 minutes’ drive), or evening meals can be arranged in the lodge (extra cost). Roscoe has a great cellar of local wine available via an honour system. We had no end of day trip recommendations, handwritten maps and local advice from Roscoe, Bek, Ash and Dave. We have stayed in some wonderful places during our travels all over the world, Stony Rise is hard to beat in our opinion, and Robe is a beautiful part of South Australia. There is nothing we didn’t like!

The design of the lodge was absolutely stunning—elegant yet warm, with earthy finishes which flowed to the Queen Room and made it feel inviting and serene, just like it's outdoor landscape. The service was exceptional, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the opportunity to meet and chat with other guests, something you don’t always get in a typical hotel setting. It really added a personal touch to the experience. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Rebekah and Roscoe have thought of everything to create a unique experience in terms of accommodation and service ably assisted by Ash and Donna when we stayed . Leaving after only one night !

The breakfast was perfect, homemade bread, jams, fruit, and eggs. Loved the drinks and canapes in the evening at six for any guests staying. Rebecca recommended a restaurant in town called Sails for supper and organise a table and blankets for us in case we had to sit outside. All the staff were lovely! The whole experience felt a bit like a house party and we enjoyed meeting the other guests.

We stayed in the execitive suite which is very spacious and all very stylish. The only thing to be improved would be a door for the huge bathroom.

• Nikki (10/5): Amazing Stay at Stony Rise Lodge - Excellent hosts, all the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The property is beautifully maintained with luxurious facilities. We loved the opportunity to connect with other guests over breakfast and sundowners. Very relaxing stay, we will definitely be back! The only downside was not having a TV in the room.
• Sam (10/5): It was a great getaway in a stunning property, located amongst the beauty and serenity of the dunes in the National park - A beautifully appointed, stunning, friendly property with plenty of room and atmosphere.
• Zoe (10/5): Beautiful, well fed and looked after, surrounded by pristine native scrub and beaches. - Staying at Stony Rise Lodge is an extra special experience. Bec and Roscoe are incredible hosts who know and love the area so much, and are there to help you have the most wonderful break. The breakfasts are to die for, the house and all its amenities of the highest standard, the proximity to robes stunningly pristine back beaches as well as the township, all make for a unique and restful holiday. nothing we didnt like!

• Julie (10/5): Authentic welcoming hosts, creating an unforgettable stay - Beautifully designed and welcoming. It is like walking into a friends home, and everyone welcomes you as such. Simple but lovely gardens which are full of natural bird noise. We had such a lovely (too short) stay!! The only downside is not being able to stay longer and we experienced breezy cold weather which meant our enjoyment of the outside spaces was limited. Too far from home to pop back regularly!

The Executive suite was clean, spacious and well-equipped with all the essential amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.
