• Tobias (8/5): - The location is great. The house is at the very top of the old town and requires a short walk uphill from the nearest street. The room was comfy and — despite the shower not draining properly, perhaps because of the pouring rain — the facilities were good. There is free public parking available nearby, which can be a bit chaotic though. The breakfast was decent but not as good as at other guest houses and hotels that we stayed at in Albania.
• Valentin (10/5): Beste - Der Weg zum Hotel ist etwas steil aber mit gesunden Füßen leicht machbar und auch nicht allzu lang. Empfangen wird man von einer süßen Katze und einem total netten und freundlichen Inhaber. Das Zimmer ist sauber (mit Klimaanlage) und hat wunderschöne Aussicht. Zusätzlich wird man gefragt wann man morgens frühstücken möchten. Das Frühstück, welches im Preis von ca. 30€ inbegriffen ist, beinhaltet: Ei, Tomate, Gurke, Traube, Banane, Brot und eiskalten Orangen Saft. Man befindet sich sehr zentral in der Stadt. Ein Ausflug zur Burg ist vom Hotel aus Optimal und nicht allzu weit. Bezahlen kann man am nächsten morgen in Euro oder Lek. -

• Maksim (8/5): - Location. Inside of old town. Amazing and unbelievable view from the window. One of the best that i have ever seen Bathroom is little bit separate. It is yours, you have an own key. But it outside of your private room. It's not a big problem for short staying.

• Tomasz Lip (10/5): - Pensjonat położony na wzgórzu z cudownym widokiem na Berat,na miejscu mała restauracja z tarasem ,nowa łazienka z kabiną prysznicową,klimatyzacja ,smaczne śniadanie oraz wspaniały personel. Fakt trzeba się trochę powspominać ,ale naprawdę warto. Wszystko było super.

• Anuk (8/5): Incredible breakfast views, decent service - The view is amazing. The breakfast is fresh and well-presented. The staff are mostly responsive. The staff are not as friendly as you’d expect - this is not the typical ‘guesthouse’ experience. They were relatively unapologetic and unhelpful when there was a hot water problem. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner.
• Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, highly recommended stay, had a proper rest and sleep (comfortable mattress). Young couple who manage the place really helpful. View from the bedroom - astonishing. Just wow!! Garden on site with the city view. You will feel like on top of the mountain. Ask the owners about parking space, it might be helpful. There is nothing I dislike about the place, however need to consider to be quite fit to walk up and down from the city centre to the accommodation , many steps (lovely old town style with stones all around), but I found it as an advantage and extra exercise.
• Julia (10/5): Friendly and beautiful views - Beautiful views, lovely garden with fruit trees, very helpful and friendly staff. We told the staff we did not eat egg for breakfast and they went out of their way the next morning to make a beautiful breakfast exactly how we like it. Guests should know it is at the top of the hill up many steps (I view this as one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience to walk through the narrow streets in the evening)

• Papapetesn4 (10/5): Exceptional - The view over the city. Close to centre. Good for sightseeing. Helpful staff. The 100+ steps and cobbled inclines up from the main road came as a surprise. Address is at the top of a hill with pedestrian access only, NOT for parking. We were fortunate the hosts met us at street level and had secured a parking space. Cannot imagine how we would have found the house from booking details alone.
• Kollarja (10/5): Exceptional - What can I say, it was truly a wonderful trip. The room I stayed in had a stunning view from the windows, the most beautiful view I had ever seen. The room was very clean in every detail. The owners were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was very delicious. I will go back there again.I recommend this place to all of you.

Did not find the staff very friendly or helpful at first when I messaged to say I can't find them with Google maps. Maybe try 3 words? Room was okay, overlooking the square. • Laurent (10/5): Great friendly spot in the old town - Amazing views of the city, calm, great spot for a coffee/beer/snack during the day or evening, and of course super friendly staff! You can park your car for free in a parking near the river They helped us arrange an excursion in the Osumi canyon (must see) at the last minute and gave us tips for places in Berat as well as beaches and places in the south. I enjoyed walking until the property but that can be tiring for some people (no direct access with a car, as it's in the old town)

• Susan (9/5): Great - We had a great stay! We felt very welcomed by our hosts and even got some cookies. The terrace has probably the best view anyone could wish for in Berat. I woke up early one day to see the sun rise over the mountains, it was great. The room and bathroom had everything we needed. A nice addition would be a nightlamp, a bin in the bedroom and shower curtains so you don't flood the bathroom. But it seems almost always to be like that in Albania, so it's not really a negative point, more a suggestion. We also liked the breakfast and the cat jumping around us :-) Parking: just down by the river, but that was fine for us. Also you have to climb some stairs to reach the guesthouse, but I would say that's very healthy!
• Laura (7/5): Beautiful view if you can survive the stairs! - The view from my room was amazing! Bed was comfortable and facilities in the bathroom worked perfectly and were clean. Of course the view was amazing but you had to walk up ALOT of stairs to get there which i wasn't prepared for... So this is just a pre warning for you! Going up with my luggage wasn't fun. No one was there when i arrived, and communication was difficult. The owner didn't speak any English, i think her daughter did but this was all through whatsapp. I ended up having to chase to pay them which to me is madness. They should ask me for payment on arrival to avoid chasing me down for payment. I felt like i had to rush back to accommodation as they were waiting for me to pay in cash. Like i said, this all could have been avoided if someone was there on arrival and i paid then.

• Sylwia (10/5): The best location in Berat! - Gorgeus location with beautiful view and private tarrace, we were on the highest spot with builded houses on the mountain, higher was only nature and castle. The best location we can dream off. We had big kitchen with everything needed, littlr sweet room. Very nice :) At night was a bit cold but the air conditioning was efective and we had plenty of warm blankets. The location is a bit hard to find but we managed.

Amazing!!! + Great Wifi. + Comfortable bed. + Friendly host. - It's a bit of a steep walk up the hill to reach the guest house. - Water in the shower doesn't drain out properly. - A few little black bugs on the bed sheets. - Communication ahead of the stay was not so easy, hence, when I arrived no one was there and there were not really instructions on how to meet and where to park. (After 1 hour waiting, I simply entered a random room and left my belongings there. Luckily it was the right one. :)) Note: The overall stay was really very good!! Just think it is important to mention the above for the ones that are "less adventurous".

He was too kind! The room was amazing and the views from the room were honestly spectacular! We loved this place! So relaxed and the winding old streets to the property were unreal especially at night. We have a lán grá for this place

• Radoslava (10/5): Exceptional - One of the most authentic accommodations we have ever stayed at. The way up is exhausting but you will be rewarded with a magnificent view. You can also enjoy the view from a small terace where you can sit and order water or other drinks (it is possible to go there in the evening and the view is equally spectacular). The room was super clean and smelt nice 🙂 The hosts were amazing, always smiling and ready to help. If you are hungry, they provide breakfast for 5 Eur. We were very pleased with the stay and would come back any time we visit Berat again. There is a shared bathroom, but was never occupied for a long time (there were hardly any guests during our stay.)

• Huber (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, at the top of Berat old Town and a roof top terrace for getting some cold drinks with an excellent view at the city. The hosts showed great hospitality, we got cheese and biscuits for free when staying at their roof top terrace with the comment beer and goat cheese is a good combination (which is actually true! :) ). Also we asked for recommendations for a barber (berber) and got a good tip which turned out to be a good choice. The bathroom and the room were super clean. And the view from the room is amazing (we watched the sunrise from there in the morning). Would definitely go back there next time!
