Guest Reviews
- Amanda (1/5): -
- Daniel (1/5): I want a full refund - Nothing I was not giving the keys by the property
I did not stay at the property
- Kajogbola (8/5): Very good -
- Taylor (4/5): We had a decent stay, where it was comfortable for a couple days, but it was hard to live with other people when there w - That it was able to fit a large group of us in one space - many stains on the floors, blankets, couch, etc. right when we entered the apartment
- no hot water for showers
- all blankets and towels were damp
- Jordan (2/5): Extremely disappointed!!! - The location
Return of damage deposit......but we are now waiting on a refund for our stay! Only not given it a 1 rating as it was in a good location for us!
We have just returned home after a weekend stay here and have requested a refund for our stay, we were extremely disappointed with the accommodation and service provided throughout our stay.
I will list the issues from arrival to departure below, from the moment we arrived we emailed the host about the issues along with photographs, but got no response. The only response I got was about the WiFi when I was called about it by who I presume is Stephen Cookey the host, who said he would send someone to look at the issues on the Saturday but they never came. We were willing to stay the 2nd night if these issues were sorted like we were told, but if we had known they weren't going to be we would have found alternative accommodation, however once we returned to the apartment on Saturday evening at approximately 2030hrs expecting the said faults to be fixed it was then too late to make alternative accommodation arrangements.
The list of faults are as follows-
1. Key lock box was hard to find as was not as described
2. Front door not fully secure was rattling in the wind
Deadbolt lock on door did not work
3. Bedroom window handle missing completey, unable to close window, had to makeshift secure with a coat hanger, completely inappropriate with the weather/storm this weekend.
4. Front room window won't shut properly, window catch broken, wind constantly blowing in with the weather/storm.
5. Oven door broken, had to wedge shut with a chair whilst in use.
6. No mattress on the sofa bed at all. We had to sleep on top of the cushions on the couch.
7. Bathroom door lock broken, unable to lock or shut.
8. Shower when from scalding hot to freezing constantly throughout use.
9. No WiFi throughout the entire stay, which also meant the TV was unable to be used (the host did ring me about this, but nothing was resolved).

- Nunu (1/5): Misleading listing - Lift to the 4th floor. Misleading listing of available facilities. Made to wait about an hour in the cold past the check-in time. Was fined by the council for parking outside the accommodation, after being told by the host it was ok to park outside. No private parking is available on site, although listed online as an option. No fitness facility available.
- Haide (10/5): Lovely apartment! - Stayed at this property for the second time and it was great once again. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Checking in was easy and straightforward. The apartment smelled fresh and clean as soon I walked through the doors. Fresh bedsheets and towels and bathroom was clean. Also the heating worked perfectly! Thank you I really enjoyed my stay.
- Haide (10/5): Lovely stay - We stayed at this lovely apartment last week and everything was great. The living room is very spacious, sofa is comfortable the tv had plenty channels. The kitchen was clean with all the appliances to cook.
Bed was comfortable with clean sheets and towels.
The whole apartment was well decorated and clean which was very pleasant. We will definitely stay here another time. Thank you Great apartment.
- Haide (10/5): Great location, helpful staff - The location couldn’t be better in terms of transportation, restaurants, walking distance to many sights. Staff were friendly and helpful. The flat is very spacious with a lot of natural light. Everything was really clean including the bed linen and towels. We will definitely stay again. Lovely place
- Hansah (5/5): Passable -
- Chris (6/5): Nice apartment and view, but dirty and ill-equipped - Great view. Good location. Spacious apartment. Overall happy with it, but it's not stylish (who cares anyway?) and it is lacking in some basic things. Lock box was clamped to a public railing in the street, and was not orange as advised in the instructions info. I had to pay £150 deposit in advance, but I got it back 4 days after departing. The kitchen is appallingly badly equipped. I've never stayed somewhere with so little stuff. Hardly any crockery, cutlery, or something to make coffee with, like a cafetiere. No welcome pack, and only a few teabags left by a predecessor. In the week before, I emailed a photo of me with my ID as requested, but the host did not then send the deposit payment link like they said they would. I had to chase them right up to the day of arrival, when they finally sent it, and then I had to chase them constantly for an acknowledgement of receipt of the £150 deposit, so they could give the acces code info etc. Decor is kitsch not stylish. Also, the place is pretty dirty, and some kitchen drawers are downright filthy. Why on earth this type of place needs a washing machine and dishwasher, but cannot even fix kitchen taps that are falling off, and bedroom lamps that are snapped in half, I do not know.
- Vanessa (10/5): clean and cozy apartment well located at a good price - The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including bed linen, towels and a balcony where we could enjoy the end of the day after work. The host was very kind and so was his entire staff. There was nothing, we liked everything.
- Charlie (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT HYGINE - Upon arrival, we were greeted by a large bag of rubbish left in the kitchen by the previous tenants, which was not removed until the following day.
Disturbingly, a toenail was found in one of the single beds. After discussing this with the staff, it became evident that the bedding is not changed between tenants, which is frankly unacceptable and unhygienic.
The overall condition of the apartment was extremely poor. There were stains on the sofa and carpets throughout, as well as dirt and debris in the drawers where guests are expected to store their clothes.
We encountered a serious issue with the shower, which we reported immediately. The water alternated between freezing cold and scalding hot. Despite assurances from the staff that they would resolve the issue, it was never addressed during our stay. It felt as though they were simply stalling, hoping we would leave before fixing it. Additionally, the shower hose was broken, causing water to spray outside the shower door and onto the floor. Although the hose was replaced when the rubbish was collected, the temperature issue remained unresolved.
The oven door wouldn’t close properly, forcing us to prop it shut with a chair just to cook food.
To top it off, all the glasses and plates were visibly dirty upon arrival.
Overall, the condition of the apartment was horrendous. I strongly advise others to avoid this property.
- Suellen (7/5): comfortable, clean and great price. lovely host. - The flat is very cozy, we felt at home and had everything we needed. The host and his team were very kind to us. Everything was fine. There was nothing that bothered me.
- Barbosa (10/5): I loved the stay! Comfortable, clean and organized place. Perfect! - We loved our stay. Perfect location and good price, the host and his team were very helpful and kind. The flat was comfortable and very clean. We had everything we needed. We don’t have any negative points to talk about. Everything was perfect.
- Philippa (1/5): Bad - It was spacious The whole place is in disrepair and nothing about it was clean (stains on everything). All the previous reviews are spot on and I wish I read them before booking this place. They make you pay a security deposit of £150 before giving you the check in details. After two weeks from our check out I still didn’t receive the refund and could get no reply from the host. Eventually they sent it back to me but only because I threatened to take them to court. Avoid this place at all costs, it might be cheap but it’s not worth it. It should be taken off this website. SCAM.
- Batistelli (10/5): Clean and cozy apartment well located at a good price. - The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including bed linen, towels and a balcony where we could enjoy the end of the day after work. The host was very kind and so was his entire staff. There was nothing, we liked everything.
- Berivan (5/5): Cleaning properly well. Incease your customers for more visits - 1) Each time we would walk on the floor it would make creaking sounds and my family got annoyed with it. 2)Every time we would shut the door gently it would make a very loud slam that could annoy neighbours, especially at midnight. 3) The Cups were really dirty inside and had stains on the bottom of the cups and i had no choice but to use them and didn’t have a nice feeling drinking out of it. If you would want to have more customers you will have to fix these problems and pay attention to the cleaning more.
Thanks Doors and floors
- Jo (8/5): Great escape to the city with friends - Not brand new, but Clean and tidy, great size, 7min walk to train station and 1 stop to London Bridge, so really convenient to hop on tube and go exploring.
A window handle was missing on arrival, but before I even had chance to message owner, he was informing me a tradesman was coming to sort it. Out of the owners control, but closest lift was out of order, 4 th Floor apartment meant 8 flights with luggage, but later found second lift so no issue.
- Marios (1/5): Read the bad reviews before booking this place. Stay anywhere else but here. - Location ok. Still a long walk from the station. Read the bad reviews before you stay here. They are very accurate.I suggest you video record and photograph every detail of the apartment before you move in and at your departure as the apartment comes with extensive damage (for your own protection). I would suggest paying with PayPal for buyer protection, although you will lose some money as PayPal fees. Unpleasant owner. He will not respond to any issues you raise during your stay despite what he says in other reviews. It seems the apartment is designed to save the owner money at the tenants expense. I will list just a handful of the issues with the apartment: toilet door handle damaged and the latch was stuck in the door, so the toilet door would not close. We needed to prop a chair behind the door from the outside to stop the door from opening every time someone used the toilet or showered. I attempted to contact the owner about this twice, and was completely ignored. Shower head holder broken, so the shower head kept falling off -this was documented by another poor tenant months ago, and has not been fixed. Showering was very uncomfortable as the water cycled from 4 seconds of lukewarm water, to 15 seconds of totally cold water then back again -designed to get people out of the shower. There is a clothes washing machine in the kitchen, but no way to dry your clothes - no clothes rack anywhere in the apartment or outside in the complex - the owner makes a comment in one of his feedbacks that the clothes dryer is kept in the locked and "inaccessible parts of the apartment" - where tenants are not allowed - so again -designed to save this selfish owner money at the tenants expense - so you don't use the washing machine. The crockery in the kitchen looks like it's been found on the side of the road - chipped, cracked, dirty mismatching. Inadequate glasses, no teaspoons. Filthy apartment. Noisy neighbours.Poor check in-he left us outside waiting in the summer heat.
- Xin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pearl (4/5): Disappointing -
- Linda (3/5): Poor - Beds were comfy Not clean. Not kept in good working order. Poor communication.
- Johnstone (3/5): Tried to speak to the property but didn’t help and to top it all off they could only issue a £30 refund!!! I thought I’d - Pictures made it look really nice but that’s about it it Cleanliness was awful, wire hanging out of the fire alarm in the kitchen, broken draw under the bed, shower head covered in lime scale, shower head attachment broken so wouldn’t even hang up and ALSO NO hot water!
- N.k (9/5): Superb - Comfortability, clean and the location is very very assessable
- Faiz (10/5): Exceptional - toilet door don't have lock
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent accommodation!! The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, excellent location with easy access to the city centre and the service from the host was excellent!!
Spacious place, with a large living room, clean, cozy rooms and a very well equipped kitchen!! Excellent accommodation, I will definitely book it again to my next trip to London and recommend to my friends.
- Willie (8/5): Very good -
- Shahroz (9/5): Superb -
- David (2/5): Uncomfortable, disgusting, loveless - Close to the inner part of London Filthy couch, very dirty apartment, damaged table with a missing screw , missing tea spoons (only 2!!), no broom or vacuum cleaner to manage that mess, loosen floor tile in the bathroom, less warm water for all off us, rubbish behind the couch and the beds. We are really disappointed about that apartment and want to give everyone a warning of booking this apartment. After booking I had to pay a deposit of 150£. For what??? There are so many things damaged inside the apartment so I just can’t get it! We traveled to London during the Christmas Days. It would have been nice if the were some Christmas accessories in the apartment. We didn’t expect a Christmas tree but nothing was very sad for a family with four children.
- Anonymous (5/5): Value for money but needs a refresh inside. - Very good value for money for London! Free parking too which was great and felt safe. Stains on the sofa. Twin beds weren’t comfy and felt old. Property needs a spruce of paint and refresh. Double room stunk of smoke. The place didn’t feel clean but didn’t bother complaining as just wanted a bed for one night, so was more hassle than worth. Would have been nice to know that deposit being paid on PayPal meant we wouldn’t receive the full £150 back as would have done via bank transfer instead…
- Pete (10/5): A quality stay - All was good !
- Anonymous (1/5): Awful - The location was close to a station. It was unclean, bad odour
No hand wash or enough toilet paper/tissues
The bedding was damp and the spare bedding had a bad odour
The sofa was all stained
It was overall dirty
The host asked for a security deposit which was not outlined in the booking details on booking.com
- Claire (4/5): Awful. Poor location, poor customer service and unsuitable accommodation. - There was no bed made up in the living room- the Bioko g was clearly for 6. We found wet/damp bedding in a cupboard that didn’t dry in time to use . There was no tea/coffee/sugar available. Nothing. Chipped and cracked cups. Awful quality . Felt like a mates spare room, not a quality stay. We left after one night .
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michel (8/5): Very good -
- Courtney (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (8/5): Is a long journey going to City Centre of London - Rooms & setting room was ok Toilet sink is blocked & no toiletries
- Sergio (8/5): good price value and confortable - Very god attention via phone call and wassap to support or doubts
- Kawa (5/5): Next time I won’t go back to place like that - Parking Sofa bed was not clean and in bed condition
Night time you have to close windows and door in setting room because of smoke from outside
- Calvin (3/5): Initial reaction is “this is ok” but within 5 minutes of being inside the apartment… you will have regrets - Decent location. Looks ok as you walk in but the property soon unfolds itself I’ll do a list to keep it as easy as possible for the reader.
- twin bedroom had a damp smell and we soon discovered a mouldy area of the wall at the top which had been painted over to cover it up. The wall itself in that area was very soft under the paint. This room is probably a health and safety hazard.
- curtains in master bedroom aren’t secured properly to the wall on one side. The whole thing is tilting to that side and actually looks like it’ll fall any moment.
- living room curtain mounts are also not secured, one side also looks like it’ll fall at some point.
- kitchen tap is very wobbly and a gentle touch makes it swing around
- cutlery looked quite dirty especially the small spoons. I didn’t attempt to use.
- oven looks grim, lots of stains and generally looks unappealing to use.
- smoke detector in the kitchen missing and is just dangling cables at the moment.
- Bedroom window handle also missing.
- the metal, wall-mounted, golden trays in the master bedroom. One of them looks like it’ll fall soon. One of the screws are out of the wall and it’ll be swinging on the other one.
- the coat rack and the other gadget (didn’t use it, could be a thermometer or a door telecom) mounted in the hallway both look like they’re not mounted well to the wall. The coat rack actually wiggles quite a bit so I wouldn’t trust putting a winter jacket on there.
Everything just felt like it could break. Especially with the deposit in mind, once i saw the curtain I felt like I had to check anything that could lose our deposit.
I wouldn’t recommend this place guys.
- Shanmukha (3/5): Poor -
- Avril (6/5): Beware of security deposits . You may be the loser in getting back what you gave. - It was easy to get the keys. Location was ideal I didnt like the beds, especially the single beds. They are old and sank when you lay on them. The bathroom rug was very wet when we arrived. The couch is old and sank in the middle . Place seems clean upon entering but then you realize its just for eye view.
So you are asked to make a 150 pounds security deposit before getting the keys and they said its refundable up to 48 hours after you leave. I waited more than 48 hrs and didnt received my money and upon calling calling i finally received less than 150 pounds because they took out processing fees which is none of my business. Beware of these so called security deposits . I end up being the loser. Anything a man rob from me they rob from God!
- Mylene (8/5): Very good - Lots of room
- Sheena (7/5): Comfortable stay in London. - Location was close to railway station which was good. It could have been better if there were few more cups and plates. Also if there were basic things like few tea bags etc it could have been better.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nwoso (8/5): Very good - The apartment was quiet and clean. The sofa needs to be fixed or replaced.
- Mohammed (8/5): The best asset for the company is Mr Stephen Cooky for his professional and kind attitude - The key collection was not as stated in the forms. Collecting keys from a shop was not what i was expected
- Kimberley (4/5): Needs a better check in stating it’s on 4th floor not close to underground needs a deep clean - The check in was very poor we were travelling 200 miles and wanted an earlier check in was told could for £20 an hour was then not sent any details on how to get in so asked again told to go to a shop with a code code didn’t work got another code didn’t work got told to go back and the cleaner was there to let us in who was very rude bear in mind it’s on the 4th floor with my elderly mother we had travelled a long way !
- Karinpeedo (2/5): Terrible first night homeless in London. The apartment needs renovation. - Lift. Spacious apartment. Good view from the balcony. Plenty of bed sheets and extra mattress. Nice pictures and mirrors. Euro plugs. The location was near an industrial estate in East London. It took 40 minutes from the city center by bus.
NB! We had to find a new place to stay on the first night when we arrived from flight because we were not given exact key lockbox instructions and we couldn`t get into the apartment because we didn`t find a key.
Communication with the host was bad - letters and calls were not answered.
The dishes were dirty. There was no sugar, salt and oil in the kitchen.
The walls were dirty! The apartment was cold and drafty. A curtain rod and shelf were hanging on the wall.
Big problems with hot water! 1 roll of toilet paper for 5 people for four days! 4 bath towels for 5 people.
The window in the bathroom did not closed and the door locked so that it had to be opened from outside.
Sofa bed old and sunken - your can`t sleep on it.
WiFi code was not sent by the host.
- Thomas (5/5): Passable -
- Suhaimi (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (5/5): expensive for location - comfy bed not cleaned in time, not ready, late information, no soap, not a tea bag in the r house
- Durrah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (1/5): Terrible! - I have added photos of the way the kitchen was left: The kitchen was left in a disgusting state, food in the oven, clothes left in the washing machine, dirty cutlery. When reporting they apologised the cleaner left in an emergency and failed to tell them. Said they'd get a cleaner there first thing. No one arrived. Finally cleaner came on Wednesday. Host was rude, offered the cleaning money as a refund or a cleaner to come. I requested both seen as the kitchen was unusable for two nights resulting in us having to pay to eat out. Equally wanted the cleaner so I could use the kitchen for the remainder of the stay. Unfortunately wasn't offered any compensation for the 2 nights (and mornings) without kitchen.
- Dutt (3/5): Poor - Host was not a good communicator. Photos on the booking.com listing were of a different apartment at a different address. Check in process was not clearly explained at all.
- Molly (6/5): i enjoyed the stay - the property was comfortable and completely okay for a weekend away wasn’t like the photos but was still good. The staff were also very confusing was sent the wrong information a few times
- Valeriia (8/5): Very good - Quiet, calm, clean apartment. There were no problems during the stay
- Fraser (4/5): decent but definitely not London Bridge and the host could’ve done better. - bedrooms and bathroom were clean no access to the balcony, the fire alarm was broken, the kitchen sink was faulty, broken door handles and although the check in stated 3pm I had no access to the property until 4.45 pm.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Clean tidy amazing breakfast parking location fab.
- Faisal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (1/5): Absolutely vile - Nothing This property is filthy and does not relate to the pictured advertised
