Guest Reviews
- Izabela (10/5): -
- Nilesh (10/5): Peaceful oasis in west Luxor - Very peaceful and next to lake-old Nile with plenty of fish and fishing birds more than wildlife reserves
Property clean , spacious and comfortable All good
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (10/5): Very friendly owner and staff, very clean, and we felt very comfortable. - The accommodation is very clean, and the rooms are decorated with love. The location is beautiful, especially with the terrace. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. The staff and owner are very friendly, helpful, and always there to answer questions or fulfill special requests. We highly recommend booking this place!
- Brandon (9/5): A lodge with a homey feel and kind keepers. They will treat you well. - Hamdy the owner and groundskeeper were very nice and made tea for me. They have many options for lodging and it’s possible to change. They offer the change for free. The tour prices are competitive if you want one. The blankets were amazing and facilities were clean and worked. The location was in the back of a dark alley. Something to keep in mind as a solo traveler. I also would have like to have an opportunity to meet others at the guest house or at the other properties.
- Alice (8/5): Good - Quiet and clean. New house.
- Yiu (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was nice. Everyone was helpful
- Tinafr (10/5): Exceptional - Good value for the price
- Gubbels (10/5): Perfect place to stay in the West Bank - Very kind host. The rooms are big and very clean.
- Christelle (10/5): I would like to thank you Hamdy, his family and all his team for their care during my stay. - Hamdy is a fantastic host, you feel cared for and at home. You can go to eat to his restaurant, which is a beautiful big blue floating boat on the Nil with an amazing view of the temple of Louxor. I think he has one of the best cook of the region ! He proposed a driving service to the different temples and valley around. ( Valley of the Kings, the Queens, Hatchepsut and my favorites one, Medinet-Abou and Dendarah. Honestly, I feel privilege to have met him.
- Minzhen (10/5): Great - Nice boss and nice place
- Susanna (10/5): Amazing clean quiet and comfy place, good location good vibes! - Hamdy was an amazing host. He helped us with everything we need, from tours to food and tips about egypt. He is always kind and respectful and he has a beautiful boat where we had dinners with excellent house made food. We had a gorgeus room with fridge aircon and fan, and location is stunning along the Nile river close to many restaurants and shops. We are really happy. Thanks hamdy and hope to see you soon!! Norhing everything was amazing.
- Emilio (9/5): Superb - The staff is great and service minded. The room was big and clean. The shower worked perfectly. Nothing
- Noemi (10/5): Exceptional - Mr Hamdi and his helping hands (staff) were super nice during our entire stay. He helped us in every possible way with his knowledge of the surroundings and activities. The place is nice, quiet, clean, with a very chill garden where we had breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our stay at Hadi Guest house and cannot be more grateful for the hospitality. Thank you Mr. Hamdi :)

- Haashim (10/5): Exceptional - The place was really clean and big, the staff hamdi was also really amazing offering me even to join him for iftar during the holy month of ramadan and the owner was also very friendly. The hostel is also not too far from shops, restaurants and the ferry and speed boats to go on the other side of the city.
- Tony9510 (10/5): Exceptional - Had an absolutely amazing stay at Hamdis place. Huge house with extra large rooms. He's an awesome guy to chat with. I can't recommend it highly enough.
- Patrick (10/5): Excellent stay, really recommend it to anyone thinking of a trip to Luxor! -
- Holly (10/5): Highly recommend! - The location was great and the staff were kind and helpful. It is very clean and the shared bathrooms were kept immaculate. The location on the West Bank is ideal. It is quiet with many good restaurants nearby and super easy access to the East Bank. The owner is exceptionally kind and can help you arrange anything you want to do. He took me on a tour of the West Bank and charged a very fair price and had great recommendations. Breakfast is good and plentiful, if you choose to purchase it. I would stay here again without question. Nothing
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Hamdi was a genuinely nice host that had you're best interest at heart. He's a friendly presence and it feels like you're just talking to a mate. He was really generous and even let us have dinner and beers on his felucca one evening!
The room was huge and nice and clean, with towels proceeded a massive comfortable bed. The shared kitchen, living room and bathrooms were all great as well.
Was great to be on the quieter side of Luxor but with heaps of great food options. Can highly reccomend Wannas Art Cafe.
- Indronil (9/5): Great value for money. Perfect location in West Bank - Hamdi is a great host and showed us around Luxor. The property is in a great location with garden with sitting area. Recommended
- Jameie (10/5): Stay here - My best stay in Southern Egypt! Spacious room, comfy bed, clean bathrooms with hot water, good environment that feels private and has a rejuvenating atmosphere. I stayed on the east and West Bank and preferred the west, especially Hadis place. He is an really good person and the food on the West Bank pales in comparison.
- Tyler (10/5): would happily stay again - Hamdi was a kind and charming host. the room was great and the facilities worked like a charm. Hamdi assisted with anything and everything. n/a
- Natasa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rasa (10/5): Great place on a West bank of the Nile - I really like this place, already extended 2 times my stay. Hamdi is super host, very much taking care of the guests. I arrived very early and he picked me up an accommodate me until my room become ready to move in. Everything is spacious and clean. The breakfast is great. In the evening when it was cold they made a bonfire in a garden. The hosts are really friendly and helping with everything concerning your stay. Its like a home. I had bit issue with the Internet, Hamdi reacted quickly and fixed it. The place is very close to the Nile, but in a quite side street. Many good restaurants are near by. So it's all much better than I expected.
- Ozturk (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff and quite place for refreshing.. Everything was perfect
- Björn (10/5): Exceptional - Everybody was so friendly and helpful. At nights we sat around the fire with other guest from all over the world. Good location near the important temples, tombs e.t.c.. A lot restaurants next to the nile with perfect view.

- J (10/5): Best in Egypt - Hamdy is the best host you can get. He made us feel at home right away! We used the rooftop to have breakfast and in the evening there was a fireplace burning in the garden. They have also a boat where we were allowed to sit. We watched the fireworks from there at nye.
We went on a day tour with Hamdy to explore the historic scenes at the west bank. He is really relaxed an fun to go on a daytrip with. After staying in Luxor we went to Hurghada. Inittialy we wanted to do this by bus, but since Hamdy offered to drive us and we had such a good time with him he drove us there. On the way we stopped at the Dendera temple, wich was really cool. He even got us an appartment at Hurgada, close to the sea, for a very good price!
Our stay at Hadi Guest House was the best we had in Egypt. Hamdy made our stay just pefect and i feel like he became a friend in the few days we were there. I would definately come back here if i'm ever in Luxor again. Thank you Hamdy, see you next time!

- David (10/5): Exceptional - This is a family business with multiple guesthouses on the west bank. The room we originally booked had a problem and was unavailable but Hamdi was very apologetic and offered us a number of other options. We ended up staying at the Old Nile Hotel where we were made to feel very welcome by Jordan. It was very quiet and peaceful and is right next to a small lake. We were even given a fishing rod to use which I really appreciated.
Hamdi and Jordan are attentive hosts and really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
- Rayanna (10/5): Exceptional - Extended my stay, great location, great stay and paceful area.
- Rayanna (10/5): Exceptional - It was in a great location away from the hustle and bustle but in easy walking distance to the town and the Nile. The staff were great, super helpful for whatever I needed, but also respectful of your privacy. The highlight was the pond close to the guesthouse, you could easily hop on a boat and take a solo ride around it. Very peaceful area.
- Robert (10/5): Modern, comfortable apartment with everything you will need - Everything was great. It is a modern, comfortable apartment with everything you will need. Wifi is good. Hamdy is a helpful host.
- Catarina (8/5): Very good option for the price! - Hadi Guest House is in the West Bank of Luxor, the quiet side of the city but still with some shops and restaurants… there you will find everything you need.
You can reach the west side by a public ferry that is walking distance from Hadi Guest House.
The place itself is very nice and clean and you can actually see the Nile River from there.
Also the owner is really nice men, very kind and helpful. Nothing in particular
- Omar (10/5): Exceptional - The people were too friendly and helped us along our stay
The room was clean and the view is so lovely

- Muzhda (10/5): Wonderful - I can’t thank enough Hamdy and his colleagues for the wonderful and unforgettable stay there. Hamdy tries his best to keep his guests happy and to have a comfortable stay in his guesthouse. He organized everything I needed, like a car with the driver to visit the West Luxur, exchanging money, dinner, Info...
I can only recommend this guesthouse. Nothing
- Stan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathryn (10/5): Exceptional - A warm friendly welcome and great service. The guest house is easy to get to and was beautifully decorated and clean.
The west bank location is ideal for exploring the temples and tutankhamen tomb. A real treat and I loved the donkeys.
